Very good grocery store. We've recently shook up our grocery practices, having been in a sort of…read moreKrogers trance for a decade or so, going out of habit to the one near us since it was new. But it's been in steep decline and with the arrival of HEB to the area, we woke up and are examining the grocery landscape we've been blind to. We since have been coming here and we are very pleased! For starters, this place looks immaculate, totally spotless, so orderly and neat it's amazing. We even said "this place is roughy the same age as the Kroger up the road and this proves Kroger has no excuse to look so dilapidated, when THIS is possible in roughly the same area". It's so orderly, I couldn't help but even straighten up the voids I made in the products as we shopped like I worked there! Haa! I just respected it, you know? Anyway, the prices are on average a bit lower too, some by a lot! I believe the reason is they don't dabble in the annoying point system or the apps to try to hook shoppers into a "marriage" of sorts the way everyone does these days. To not even try to game shopper's behavior or try to track them at all they don't have to invest in it, so everything is straightforward and they have a lower overhead. I LOVE it. I'm done with having Kroger hook me into buying gas from them in a loop of trying to get the most out of points nonsense. Winco is the simple old way and I've missed it (and a little annoyed at myself for missing out all these years, but no more)! The checkout is great, staffed far more "human" than Krogers, and even have the choice in paper/plastic to optimize your sacking. The employees straight-up seem frankly happier to be there, and authentically, not robotically acting out a script. A nice bunch. They surely must be to actually try as hard as they do and it shows by just looking around. I could go on and on, we were very analytical about our "change-over" and we doubtless will be checking out HEB when they finally open, but regardless how good they are too, Winco has TOTALLY won us over and we will be coming back here regularly for good! Thanks, Winco!

Their employees doing the traditional checkout are usually overwhelmed having to also bag. 2. Produce is often molded at least every visit I'll find something molded. 3. Their yogurt fridge has had mold inside. Reported it and it looked cleaned but not fully removed. Potential hazard to health for those with mold exposure. 4. Bathrooms are disgusting and vile! They ddmell like urine and feces. They appear to not be cleaned on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, they look as though they haven't been cleaned for months! Recently, reported it to their store manager Americas and he said he would address it but he thought they were cleaned daily. He apparently doesn't go in the bathrooms... ever! Pros 1. Always stocked with excellent choices. 2. Meat department I'd say is top quality in keeping up with demand, quality and appearance. 3. Deli department is next up with great employees, quick service and excellent selection. Overall this store appears it needs a good scrub down. But has everything you need. I don't believe we as consumers should accept mediocre quality. This store makes enough money to keep up with cleanliness. So I believe it's a management/employee issue. Do better Kroger!

Saginaw location, however, had all the things I needed, with the exception of kid's 13 size water shoes-but I know they might not be in season yet. I was able to walk inside, find everything with ease and checkout with no issues. The parking lot had plenty of spaces closer to the entrance and everyone was pleasant. By that I mean, I didn't notice anyone in a hurry trying to rush to parking spots and driving too close to pedestrians (like Haslet). I was able to mosey without feeling rushed! I don't mind the drive if it means I will find products and not be stressed out! Great experience.

Got there early and was told that another car had come in and they had given my filter away and did not have any more. The lady also told me I could go get my own filter and they could do it then What she didn't tell me was that they would charge me the same amount whether or not I paid for the filter or they supplied it. Really? Does that make sense? $65 for an oil change and they supply the filter and oil and labor. Or $65 for an oil change where I supply the $15 filter Stupidest damn thing I ever heard The manager then told me I was welcome to go to some other oil change place and pay $150 For that will change. (Btw The dealership only charges $103. I checked.) Their attitude was argumentative and condescending. I understand you get cheap when you pay cheap, but this place is low quality, Low class. I won't go to this Walmart again unless I just have to. And I cannot and will not recommend anyone go there. Their entire service attitude sucks. Overall this Walmart is always dirty and appears run down and I have never liked going here

Their bags of chips are also always fresher and somehow always better tasting than other stores. I get it. These two tid bits may mean nothing to you. Normally when I get the cheese from the deli, the person behind the counter will separate the layers so the cheese doesn't stick and come out in pieces. The woman back there this time didn't and by the time she had put it on the scale, it was too late to ask for them to be separated. She was friendly but I wasn't too happy about the cheese being all together. Shelves were stocked ok. This is the 3rd visit I've done were my Vanilla Waffle Cone Community Coffee wasn't there. Albertsons is just about the only place that carries this particular one. There was a sign for it but there was a caramel one that didn't have a price tag and I really.hope that one isn't replacing the one I like. A couple of the freezer areas had lights out on them and didn't want to open and shut doors just to see what was in them and let all the cold air out. Also the Fresh Pet I normally get was out. I normally get a 4 pound bag and just like my coffee, they have been out the last few times I've come in to get but boy did they have a bunch of the smaller bags. Those cost more to equal that weight and there sure was a tone of them. The big reason for my 1 star review is because of the bathrooms. I always try to avoid the bathrooms at this place because they tend to be gross. This time I couldn't wait to get home and had to use them. The door had Mark's of something all over the base. Base boards were gross and there waa toilet paper scattered around. All the stuff I mention is just from someone choosing to be lazy and not clean properly. Makes me wonder what the storage area looks like. I would like to keep coming to this one for convince, but I believe I will start going to the one in White Settlemnt because I know that one is always clean. Also the people watching the self checkout area were standing in the way. They were standing where you normally wait for a lane to open. Wearing a jacket, I couldn't see the Albertsons shift so I waited because I thought they were a customer. I had to ask if they were waiting because a lane opened but they didn't say you could go to that one. Just kinda looked over at me and said I work here. Hmmmmm. That's not the way you treat a customer. I understand they need to watch everyone, not from where they were standing. I was not thrilled with my visit and like I said, I thinknid tlrather drive a few more miles down the road to a different location.
