I am still shopping this location and loving the savings! Usually milk, eggs and cheese are cheaper, along with fresh meat. I don't purchase produce unless it's a super great deal because it can be bruised and moldy. Or at least that's always been my experience. Sometimes you can find produce that is decent though! Aldi always has the most random things on the random aisle ever, and I'm living for the finds on it. It's a must every time I go in. I don't do all my grocery shopping here, but I do go in quite a bit for random things. It never disappoints. their food is great when I buy it, and I love their cheese selection during the holidays. I do wish their produce section was more broad, but it's fine. It's always clean, and the service is grerat. I think there is even a man who's worked there since that location opened if I'm not mistaken. We moved away and came back to the are, and he's still there since day one (or close to it) read more

This location is right next to an Applebee's and Walgreens. The store is clean and they have pretty good products here. I always enjoy the snacks that I buy at Aldi. The granola and pizza are the best. Aldi does not accept credit cards. Bring cash or a debit card. You must have a quarter to use the baskets (you get the quarter back). If you're unsure about what Aldi is about, I encourage you to give it a chance. I was put off by the chain the first few times I went (years ago), but now I can't imagine life without it. There are things you can't get here & will still need to go to Target or Walmart but A LOT can be found here. Also, for MUCH cheaper than Walmart or Target. Their items are all made by major brands (General Mills, Pilgrim's Pride, even Red Bull) but in different packaging & with similar names (Pilgrim's Choice, Red Thunder, etc). The produce, milk, eggs, cheese, bread and ice cream are all much cheaper & honestly GREAT quality. I buy their version of sugar-free Red Bull for $2.49 for a 4-pack & have had several friends try it & admit it tastes like Red Bull to them. Tastes better, IMO, for only $2.49! They also have x-large pizzas in the cheese/lunch meat area for $5.99. They have center section with random home goods & it's usually good quality, low priced items that you will find you never knew you needed, but wonder how you lived without said item. Yes, you have to pay a quarter to rent a cart (but you get the quarter back) & if you forget bags they are only 11 cents. I keep old Walmart bags in my car specifically for Aldi. Also, they have the best fresh flower selection for $1.99(!!) a bunch! Happy shopping. :) **Update- I went in today & saw memory foam dog beds for $19.99. I've wanted a new bed for our dogs & so it was a happy, well-timed find. Also, the flowers are only $1.99- which I corrected above already- and here I was happy when I thought they were $4.99 a bunch. They really are quite pretty.** read more

Nice fresh fruit selection at this location. It's nice to see the variety of products available, not limited to the typical things you would see in a mass market. Only downside to Aldi is each has a slightly different inventory so they aren't always consistent from store to store. read more

Super nice people working here. But the bread is always a guessing game, sometimes its moldy and hard other times it's ok. The fruit is a safe bet , but the Spinach is not great. I shop here almost every week, and I just wish they kept better products. read more

I've been shopping or attemping to shop at the aldi in Saginaw. The big problem is that they never have the products listed in the weekly add. When they do have them they are put out days sometimes even weeks after the ad or sale starts. I went in last night and once again they didn't have the products out. I asked the manager on duty what was the problem and after a few minutes of trying to come up with an excuse she finally cashed the general manager and he told her the pallets were in the back and he went home without putting them out. Really, you don't complete your work? You just don't care about the customer. I don't even know what to say. I guess I should just start shopping elsewhere. They don't even have a customer service number that you can call to let them know. read more

Aldi is my first place to shop . I do have to secondary shop ( usually at Walmart or Krogers) they have a great selection of produce , great quality store brand products , and specials on European epicurean food.. the only things I do not use from here ... is the tea , the Mac and cheese ... and that's really about it . I had never been to an Aldi and I was NOT impressed. You have to pay a quarter for a basket, what store does that?! Plus you have to purchase a box for items to go in. Terrible concept! They have random stuff on aisles... Definitely not a "modern" food store. I might be back for baby food but I wouldn't purchase my regular groceries here. read more

People. Google Aldi and learn about it before you go. This is a very European concept. Think "IKEA for groceries." It may or may not be your thing, and that's okay. But don't expect Tom Thumb. The employees at this Saginaw location are all friendly and helpful. They are rarely out of the things I need unless I go late-day on a Sunday. I started shopping here to save money and it took some getting used to. Now I love it. The things I buy are healthier (no GMOs, fewer preservatives) and I'm in and out in a flash. Fewer choices = faster and easier. Bring your own shopping bags. I have bags from Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, etc that I just keep in my car all the time. Bring a quarter. You have to put one in the cart so you can unhook it from the other carts. You get your quarter back when you return it. It's a little strange at first, but it's not that bad. Start small and try "their brand" of a few of the things you normally buy. If you don't like it, they'll refund your money without question. I've worked up to about 80% of my weekly groceries coming from Aldi and I've only returned two things (trash bags and something my kids didn't like). I've been to several locations and this one is great! read more

Its an Aldi. Cheap, store brand stuff. Good quality. Good selection. Minimum staff, you really don't need help, There is only 4 aisles. By the way they only accept debit cards with a pin No credit cards. That can be a bit of an issue. read more

I always run into a good Samaritan when I go here. This trip, someone gave me a basket which I turned around and paid it forward. The last time, a gentleman handed me his basket of food and told me to bless someone in return. I don't know if it's because this is located in a small town but I always leave feeling "light" and happy and everyone is so polite. The staff is nice and helpful. The store is clean. Oh! I, too, was extremely skeptical of Aldi - but now can't imagine not having it. I love the European foods, prices are very low and the products are healthier. So far what I purchase is great quality. I love the gluten free selections. My dogs love the treats sold here and they are healthier also! I can use cash, debit or credit. The staff is friendly and helpful and I love the middle aisle of household goods. Their meats are VERY high quality - and so are the breads. The wine selection is great and very low cost also - for European wines. Yes, bring your own bags. Yes, you put a quarter in the buggy and get it back when you put it back where it belongs. I love that there are not stray carts all over the parking lot from the folks to lazy to return them properly. read more

I love Aldi, especially this Saginaw location. Much cleaner than Roanoke or Tarrant Pkwy. To clear up some misinformation I've seen in other reviews, they do take credit cards. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. They didnt years ago but now they do. Also, you do not "pay" for a cart. You get your quarter back. The concept is to encourage people to return the cart, in order to get their quarter back, which keeps costs down for all of us. read more

We have been going to this Aldis since the first day it opened it's doors to us here in Saginaw. We have never ever had to wait a long period in line, and the fruit and veggies are always in fresh good condition, depending on the time of year and the season. We were having a problem locating my favorite cheese in this store, Happy Farms Cheese Wedges, so my husband asked one of the clerks...she said it usually comes in on the truck. So my husband would check each time he went in the store but the product was never restocked...he finally asked the clerk again, she said let me make sure it is NOT being overlooked for re order...within two days it was stocked. The store is always clean and as friendly as it can be. We love this little store, We go at the least twice a week.
