It was convenient, location wise, and I needed to make a quick stop for basic travel stuff, and that's how I ended up here. I forgot for a second this was a Supercenter and laughed off the fact that its size is gonna force me to take a little longer to find what I need. Whoa, this place, though! Off the bat CLEAN. Everywhere I looked, everything was organized and placed where they should all be. It made me wonder if they had staff who just go around making sure of this. As previously mentioned, this place is huge and yet I found it uncharacteristically easy finding my stuff. WHAT?! All but a couple of cashiers were open so getting out was just as convenient. Cashier was nice and cheery. Service with a smile is always good. How I wish the miniscule Walmart located closer to home followed the standards of this colossal store. Matter of fact, they should ALL be like this, Supercenter or otherwise. It might just change the not-so-stellar reputation Walmart generally has! Someday, maybe...

I'm reviewing this Mountain Home Walmart only. I wouldn't even know this was a Walmart unless the sign was up because I've never encountered such friendly and helpful people at any Walmart I've ever shopped at. The clerks. Every one of them. They were friendly and helpful. Then the manager interacted with me over recalled cucumbers but THANKFULLY he found some I could buy. Those were the best cucumbers I've ever purchased at a store, and I'm so grateful he let me buy more. This mountain home Walmart is the best Walmart I've ever visited. I'm SO impressed, thank you so much for making my thanksgiving meal A+ when I'm away from home and family this year.

I had my heart doctor put in a prescription refill request and by the time I drove to the pharmacy the meds were already filled and ready. Fast and friendly service.

I would like to please urge anyone in the Ketchum area to use any pharmacy other than Chateau Drug…read more While i say this due to an experience with one specific pharmacist, it was on more than one instance . Management clearly has received numerous complaints regarding this pharmacist because I heard the same story from the competing pharmacies ... but more importantly from people within the drug store itself. We had just arrived in Sun valley for a long awaited getaway. On the flight out we began to feel a bit under the weather. By the time we woke up the next day we were both significantly under the weather. We had a function that evening and to be on the safe side we took a COVID test..... sadly we were both positive. I was recommended to other pharmacies but they didn't have the drug we were looking for. We tried Chateau Drug and they said they had one last prescription. I kindly told her that the other pharmacy would transfer the prescription and she said no and she would get around to it when she got around to it. We went to the Drug store and asked if she was able to make the call and she said we weren't her only customer and she would do it when she got around to it and then she would call me when it was ready.... All in a rude fashion. I then asked if she could give me an approximate time frame because I was feeling really badly and driving was tough for me and her response was " Why do you come to our town spreading COVID" loudly so others could hear. She said she would call us as soon as it was ready. We knew she wouldn't call.We waited and waited and after three hours I called back and she told me the meds were ready. We went back up there and got one prescription as the other was 1500 dollars. She aggressively dropped the prescription on the counter, took my credit card info and we left. Do pharmacists not have ethics training or empathy? This is the first time in 40 years where I saw a pharmacist who should not be dealing with people. Sun Valley is a beautiful place with lovely people and I know she is an aberration but she should not be in a position where she has any interaction with people.TWO BIG THUMBS DOWN

Keep in mind this is not to fill the scripts it's waiting in line. I've seen the line go past the first register before. They have 3 registers in the pharmacy and I have not seen them at more than one register. 4 people filling scripts and one person taking money and refilling scripts. I am there between 2 to 3 times a month and it never changes. I've asked to speak with someone and they do not care. One pharmacist said to me, "I don't need your smart a** remarks we will run the business." I told him it was a remark it was a suggestion to shorten the line maybe open a second letter. God forbid they opened all 3. Absolutely terrible. When I said I guess I'll transfer pharmacies which Ellen's response was great. Not a lot of options in Bellevue and Hailey so they know they can bend you over. The pharmacist or techs wouldn't help a lady FJ d an over the counter drug so they sent the guy at the register to go help her. There was minimum 15 people in line waiting. Here comes the Covid excuse and understaffed because of it. Love you like a cold sore albertsons and your pharmacy. Dave Lenon

The pharmacy is definitely the most dysfunctional pharmacy I've ever patronized. The lines often…read morespan half the store, they rarely answer the phone, and the drive through is randomly but rather consistently closed. This has persisted for more than a year and a half. Understaffing, mismanagement, crisis, alternate reality? It's unclear what could create such a longterm and catastrophic dysfunction. Orders are never available when promised, resulting in multiple in-person trips. You can't call ahead to check if an order is ready because they don't answer the phone. They don't update the online system timely either. Perhaps due to the location, many of the clientele appear to be experiencing challenges. Lots of severely ill individuals coughing, pacing, and hovering inches from nearby patrons, waiting anxiously for medications. There are spacing stickers on the floor. But they're not enforced or observed. Someone in line requested substance addiction-related medications and was told it will take two weeks to fill the prescription at this pharmacy, resulting in a scene with lots of foul language. TWO WEEKS for what is apparently a critical time sensitive medication. As for me, when I left, the line was 20+. Waited for over 25 minutes and walked out without my order because they claim they didn't receive the order, despite confirming with my doctor's office on the way to the pharmacy. Time to switch pharmacies! Trust me, no matter how convenient this pharmacy is as far as location, you will still come out behind due to multiple trips and long waits and people coughing on the back of your neck. I have some sympathy for the employees who staff this pharmacy and have to deal with a constant flow of disgruntled desperate clients.

So I would just drive by this location on my way downtown and admire the amazing architecture. I'm a sucker for old buildings, basically anything that has some kind of nostalgia to it, I absolutely LOVE. I wish I would have gone in here tho before they remodeled it. I would have preferred it stay the original way because it's always fun to step into a time capsule. You still kind of do regardless because this building has been there for a min lol. You walk in and for me, was immediately surprised to see a store that had the "open concept" that everyone is so UNBELIEVABLY obsessed with when it comes to their homes. Honestly, the open concept is not creative, unoriginal, has HGTV written all over it and I wish people would just come up with their own ideas for their homes/businesses vs seeing some tacky trend they see on HGTV. That being said, I don't really tie all that in with this store. I mean, I'm sure the open concept trend definitely influenced their decision to do this store like that. This store is still great tho, don't get me wrong. I love it. It's one place that gets a pass for open concept lol. THANK GOD tho they didn't do everything in gray and white hahaha! If they did, I'd probably skip writing a review for this place. I haaaaaaate the gray and white trend. Stop it already!!! Hahahaha! This store is very spread out, very airy, you don't feel boxed in at all when walking the aisle's. They are wide enough to where a few people can be in them and you wouldn't get all claustrophobic. I have serious issues with claustrophobia. I pass out at concerts if there are too many people boxing me in lol. First time was 1995 at a Green Day concert. First time I felt claustrophobic and BAM! I was out! They thought I was on drugs and was about to kick me out lol. Anyway! Way off topic! I tend to do that tho. Nothing new. The layout is interesting. You walk in and all the makeup, basic necessities type stuff is right up front and the grocery stuff is in the back. I assume the makeup and stuff is up front because this store is located downtown area and theft is probably an issue. Prices are high here. Then again, they are pretty much everywhere. However, $2.29!!! TWO DOLLARS AND TWENTY. NINE. CENTS! for a thing of Tic Tacs!! HELL. NOOOOO! That is unbelievably INSANE! Some embarrassing truth here lol. Neutrogena had these exfoliating pad things. They're impossible to find. I checked their website, sold out, but the locator said this store had them. So I thought I'd surprise my roommate and get them. I was downtown for a fitness class and decided to FINALLY go in here. If I'm being honest too, these exfoliating pad things I wanted for myself, too because they're amazing lol. Locator said this store had them. I probably should have gone that day but waited until the day of the class, like a day or two. Of course, they weren't there. Tbh too, I didn't even see a tag for them. Made me sad. Now I'm just stuck mobbing around looking like an old alcoholic bag lady because I can't buff out my old ass face (Siiiiiigggghhh) hahahahaha! I don't look THAT bad tho haha! If anything, this store and it's history is what does it for me. I love it. I hope we always have it here in Boise. I think back in the day it was a Safeway? Anyone know for sure? Because we ain't got sh__t for Safeways in Boise now lol. Didn't really interact with employees. There were a few there but they have quite a few self-checkouts. Love or hate those things, they're convenient as hell. This stores are newer and super easy to use especially if people are buying food. That seems to be a complaint for most with self-checkouts. If they aren't your thing, walk your happy a__ over to a human cashier haha! That's all! Great store! Great vibe there even later at night :) Thanks, Yelperiteraiders!!! Cheers!
