So we bought some raw chicken to cook on the grill and when we got home and opened the pastic wrap they smelled rotten. So I didn't think much of it and toss them in the trash. At the same time we bought some crab cakes and put in the freezer. The next day (today ) we opened them to cook. My wife started feeling Ill about a hour later so I looked at the package and they expired on the 15th and today is the 28th and we bought them on the 27th Not happy read more

I think I found my new favorite Albertsons. I still think they're overpriced, but this store is amazing. As usual Albertsons is great for getting your essentials in a rush. The store layout is great. Staff are really nice and I love the fact that they stock the full range of Burt's Bees products. The store is huge and I found myself running around like a crazy person trying to find my stuff. LOL Oh and the store is super clean and they have an awesome produce section. I will definitely recommend this location. read more

What do you need to know, it's an Albertsons. .. I will say that the deli department has some of the most apathetic miserly people working there and it shows... they are completely careless on customer service. They pretend that you are not even standing in front of them.. otherwise the store is ok.. and in the Butcher department. . The gourmet bbq burgers and kebabs are great. I do wish they had more bakery items tho' The self checkout is always nice. And I should also note that you can buy real "julian" apple pies there. Yummy. read more

Best Albertsons we have ever been to. There are 2 departments I specifically interact with the meat department is AMAZING! I love the specials every week there's an item or two on special and I get a pound or 2 of something I don't normally buy thanks to the specials. Everything they season is awesome and if they don't have something out they will run to get more for you. I tell all my friends about the meat department there. Starbucks! ALL the girls at Starbucks are THE BEST!!! Not only do they always have a positive attitude but you could see how much they care about their customers. Everytime I am there I can see kayla or brittany or Alex saying hi Ms so and so they seem to know everyone and that goes a long way with customers. I work close by but will drive the extra 8 miles from the closest Albertsons to me to shop here on my days off to get the best coffee, meat, veggies and fruit! The guys at the veggie department are great too they always keep everything fresh! read more

I found out they get shipments of Julian Pies on Tuesday and Fridays so I came by on Friday. I picked an apple pie for $14.50. This is the most expensive pie I have ever bought. The crust was awesome! Fresh and crunchy and loaded with great flavor. The filling was pretty good. This was a very good pie but I prefer the dutch apple pie at VG Donuts. The crust is about as good but I prefer the filling there. Also their pie is only $7.99. read more

They have a wide selection of products, and I've had good experiences with their fruit. However their prices are just ridiculous on certain things. It's hard to spend fewer than $150 here if you need a typical grocery run. The clerks are fine, but the prices are stupid, and some of their meat is pretty questionable. As for the area... people are in the parking lot every time I go there with different stories about how they were in Vietnam and need my money that I use to make ends meet as a single guy in my mid-20s. Sure, maybe they are telling the truth... but wouldn't you think it would be wiser to spend the money on food instead of the cigarette they are smoking?? hmm... anyway, lots of people wanting handouts there. read more

Not a bad Albertsons. I think they recently updated the store. It's clean. Produce is ok, although there isn't a lot of organic selection. Meat and deli are above average. They seem well stocked. Like Steven, I prefer to shop in Carlsbad, but the store borders Carlsbad, so they get a lot of customers for Calavera hills. read more

I just stopped in to this Albertsons for a few things on my way home. I purchased donuts for the kids for the next morning. They were more like bagels. I'm sorry they had to eat them. Had I known I wouldn't have even tried. Noted. I will stick to getting my bakery stuff from stater bros. they haven't disappointed yet. read more

This Albertson"s is very clean and stocked full of all your necessities! The veggie display and selection looks like a garden. I bought more as a result of the display. The tile is clean, the bathroom - yeah, I had to make a stop - is clean and the aisles are just as polished. The cashiers are just as polished with friendly smiles and attentive to an overcrowded wait line - THANK YOU! However, get rid of the Starbucks. Someone either had a bad day or was ready to resign. I ordered my favorite drink. "We don't take the app here". Well good morning to you too. I picked up my drink - with remnants of the wiped off spill it took prior to my receiving it - to sit down at a sticky table with a view of trash and straw shavings just adjacent to me. I watched my "cheery" cashier take orders and listened to a few other customers complain about their tables. It's a shame this Starbucks is not better kept. Unfortunately, I'll hit up the "Bucks" across the street from now on, maybe they'll be a bit neater. read more

Looove all the cashiers except Ashley. She is always in a bad mood and clearly doesn't want to be there. I try to avoid her but when she is the only one working, I have no choice. I don't want to spend much time on her though because literally everyone else is amazing. And Oscar has the best smile and laugh ever. I go to the store everyday. read more

Kudos to Albertsons Bakery department!! Ordered a cake for my grandsons first birthday!! Not only was it delicious but when we picked up the cake there was also a little separate cake just for my grandson to eat all by himself!! He loved it and we all enjoyed watching him devour the cake in a typical one year old fashion! It made the day so special!! Thank you for going the extra mile! We will always order cakes here!! read more

I don't live in the neighborhood, but drive out of my way and come here because of how much better this store is than other Albertsons. This store is always clean and well stocked. They always have a good selection of meat even early in the morning. All of the employees are nice and polite and make you feel welcome shopping here. read more

This store never has what I need. Every time I shop here there are many things on my list that they're out of. No fail - never left this store with everything I came in for - very annoying. Not to mention I've seen homeless people reach around the deli and grab fried chicken out of the hot food area when there was no one around to see it. That's just gross and maybe you need to block that side of the deli or offer them a free meal or something. read more

This place is WAAAAY too over priced. You can go down the road to Stater Bros. and get the same thing for a heck of a lot cheaper. I do not recommened this place. Their food is either almost spoiled, or past the exp. date, and I feel if I am going to pay out the butt for food it better not be spoiled or only have a couple weeks left. The customer service is poor too. Most of the time the people act like they don't even want you there. There is a few that were actually friendly, but normally the people seem very cold towards you. The only reason I go here is if I cannot find what I need at our regular grocery. read more

Yes the groceries are super pricey and targeted toward rich people. BUT.. I gave them a four star for the Monday night chicken dinners they offer for $6.99. It is a steal people. Either 8 piece chicken dinner or whole chicken with potato wedges, one side and Hawaiian rolls. That is a great deal! I look forward to going after work today. Super convenient. I mean, who wants to cook on a Monday? I also give them a four star because I LOVE their bakery. I order cakes from them for almost all my parties. read more

I sure am getting tired of these stores and their games. Tonight I went to this store and wanted to get some beer. Beer pricing is something that is like understanding gas prices they swing from day to day. I drink Modelo and tonight's price was a crime. 21.99 for an 18 pack. I left and went across the street to wal mart and it was 17.00. Go figure. read more

I frequent this location for the fantastic service deli sandwiches. Matt makes the best sandwiches I've ever tasted and he'll construct it however you'd like. Recommend grabbing a sandwich, a drink, and a magazine and enjoying it right there at the starbucks tables. Once you're fully satisfied, you can grab a coffee at Starbucks to top it off, if you're into that. read more

i am usually not one for writing a review about a large chain supermarket BUT since i've been staying with my sister for several days here in oceanside, i must review this albertson's because i've gone here more times than i can count. the good: it's a large market...very good selection here and it also has a sav-on pharmacy inside which comes in handy. that also means that otc medication inventory is better than normal here...which is important because i did catch a cold and/or flu here. staff is pretty friendly and helpful...there's a lot of them restocking/organizing the bad: parking and check-outs. it may be because i have bad luck or something but seriously, going to the market has never been such an ordeal. first off parking needs an upgrade. although it seems there are ample spaces to park, many times i can't find one!! plus, getting out of the parking lot is sometimes trouble...pedestrian walkways and traffic were not thoroughly thought out. sometimes it's the light to turn left out of the lot that holds you up....poorly designed exits!! before i get to the parking lot though. checkouts sometimes aggravate me. today i went to buy groceries at around 3pm...every checkout line was at least 6 carts long!! and that's with every checkstand open..i know it's not necessarily albertson's fault but waiting over 20 min. to pay for my food is just crazy to me. it's as if this is the only market within a 50 mile radius or something!! in terms of produce, meats and ready-made foods - i am happy & have found everything i've needed. it just feels like it takes me longer to leave the albertson's than it did for me to go there & gather all my groceries. read more

The grocery store is fine, but DO NOT order anything from their floral department. A week before Homecoming, my son and I ordered a corsage for his date - picked the ribbon to match her dress, etc. to be picked up a week later. Yesterday, went in to pick it up and the person there had no idea what I was talking about. She said she had no record of it and that their florist had been out all week, so sorry. I asked if they could make one up for me that day, and she said she didn't know how. Unfortunately I had the receipt in my other purse, but even if I had gotten my money back that day, it wouldn't have solved the problem. I ran around to two other places before discovering that Vons had some pre-made. I went back today with my receipt and the ladies at the customer service desk were very nice and apologized profusely and said they had been having a lot of trouble with their floral department. Don't order anything from them if you actually need to have it on a certain date. They're a mess! read more

Cindy in the bakery was a life saver! I had a cupcake catastrophe and she was able to decorate a whole new batch of cupcakes for me on the spot! They were so yummy, I will definitely be back. read more

Not very crowded every time I go so it's great if you want to shop without a lot of people around but there is also not as much cashiers open so sometimes wait is longer for checkout. They do have self checkout if you are in a hurry. They usually carry my preferred veggie cheese, pepper jack flavor toward end cap of produce area and I have not been able to find that many places. I enjoy checking out the bakery items sold at discounted price toward back of store if you need an item you plan to use same day! I also like their big selection of floral/garden items if you need a gift of flowers. Succulents, various potted plants, fresh flowers and lots of vases. read more

I don't really know about the products, or deals or anything since I don't live in the area and I came in for only one thing. My review is just for the friendliness of the staff. Maybe this is normal to people that live in SoCal, but I'm from NorCal and it was crazy that everyone was so friendly. I was greeted by someone outside collecting carts, I was greeted by someone when I walked in, I was greeted by someone walking down the same aisle as me, and I was greeted when leaving. Everyone seemed happy and it was really nice. read more

I've been going here for years, and it is a great grocery store. I decided to write a review after seeing the new remodel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We have shopped at other stores in the area and the fruit here seems consistently better that other places overall. Also, they sell pot pies in the deli area. Pick one up if you get a chance, they are delicious. It might be a little more expensive than the retail stores (Walmart, Target, etc...) but I like the shopping experience at Albertson's better and you definitely get better fruit/veggies, service, and overall experience in my opinion. read more

I have been shopping at this store for at least 6 years, mainly out of convenience. I have had issues, especially with fresh fruit and vegetables that last no more than a few days after purchase before they need to be thrown out. Today took the cake, though. I bought strawberries yesterday and found they were moldy. When I took them back WITH my receipt, the person at the desk said "are you sure you bought these yesterday?" I asked to replace them with another container, but ended up bringing two more containers back to her that were still on the shelf for sale, both with moldy strawberries in them. So then the employee tried to open one package and swap a "good" strawberry out with a moldy one in the other package for me to take as the replacement. Seriously?!?!?!? So I left..without a new package and won't be returning to that store. read more

Not a big fan of this store but it's the closest supermarket to us. The good is the produce section. Great selection. The average is the meat counter and the store. The HORRIBLE is the fact that every single time I go in there there are never more than 3 checkers working. The lines are always long and the don't have an express checkout. What the do have are 4 self checkout scanners and even those have lines. At least at any Vons I've been to will always open another check out if the lines get too long. And while we're on the subject...if I have to check myself out, do I get the healthcare benefits the union got by threatening to strike because a single person in the union is whining about paying the astronmical sum og NINE dollars a week for medical insurance??? read more

I don't really write reviews but I believe this one is a must!! Tim the store manager is absolutely amazing. This weekend is my husband's 21st and he did everything a good store manager would in order to ensure I am able to throw a spectacular party! This review is based on an experience with an employee by the name of Abel. I came in today at around 1:40 with my younger brother. We only had a couple of things to buy, one of which was a sweet onion. As we were looking around the produce section, we passed an employee talking to who looked to be a manager, wearing a pink blouse and slacks. He saw that we were looking for something, and asked us if we needed any help. When I asked him where the sweet onions were located, he got a very rude attitude. He said they were in the biggest display case in the store. I turned around to find this area in produce and he said to me in a very condescending way "Can you not see? Are you having trouble reading? It says sweet onions" He then walked to the stand and pointed at the label and very rudely and slowly said "sweet onions" talking to me as if I were an idiot. It was after this that he released that the label under the onions was the wrong label. No apology for his rude and condescending attitude, no acknowledgement that it was wrong. He acted as if helping us was a major inconvenience to him, and he spoke to me as if I were a small child. I currently work in customer service and I know that is no way to speak to a customer. Where this employee got the idea that it is okay for him to talk to people like that is beyond me. We were nothing but respectful of this man, we did not interrupt his conversation, he came up to us and offered assistance only to treat us as if we were inconveniencing him in some way. My eight year old brother was even shocked at this man's attitude. All of this happened in front of that woman he was talking to, and she was definitely in ear shot of the employee. I assume she was a manager because she began to unbox things and put them in a display, she was also wearing a name tag, although I did not catch her name. Why she allowed her employee to act like this is beyond me. Very inappropriate, rude, and disappointing that all of this happened in front of a manager and she allowed her employee to act like that. read more

I went to Albertson's off of Marron the other day and experienced fantastic service. I really liked that it was not very crowded and I was asked if I needed help in almost every department. I usually do not write reviews but Mark in the meat department offered the best service I have ever had at any grocery store. He even suggested some other items to serve my pork ribs with. So sweet and helpful! I will definitely be back. read more

I came in here on 3/31/18 to buy some chicken strips from the deli and some frozen Michelinis mac n cheese boxes that were advertised at 89 cents each. When I go to pay I asked the cashier a young girl in her early 20's if I got the mac n cheese on sale rather than answering my question she asks me if I'm playing Monopoly? I said No so how much was the mac N cheese she then asked me are you using gas points? So I said "I asked you if I got the mac n cheese on sale?" she then turned and asked my brother if he wanted to play their monopoly game he told her no then she gives me my total and again I had to ask her if i got the mac n cheese for 89 cents? FINALLY after having to ask 3 times and me and my brother answering 3 of her questions she finally decides to check and tells me yes. I really didnt appreciate that she refused to answer my question until we answered 3 of hers especially since I asked my question first. As a customer I do not go to Albertsons to play Monopoly or try to play a game for gas points I go to Albertsons to BUY FOOD! Albertsons if you are reading this your cashier (young asian possibly pacific islander girl or both cashier) needs to properly be retrained in providing good customer service it seemed to me she cared more about asking her questions than answering mine. Also when I walked out she mumbled something as I was leaving the store. Very unprofessional on her part. read more

Absolutely THE best of supermarkets! Friendly, efficient staff who go out of their way to provide excellent service. After shopping at many of the Vons/Albertsons stores from Calif. to Texas, I feel that this store on Marron Rd. in Oceanside is the "Diamond" of them all. I drive 16 miles round trip to this store, passing others who can't touch the outstanding service, quality & stock. read more

This review is specifically about the bakery (although I'm confident the rest of the store is good, too)... and the bakery manager, Theresa, who was SO WONDERFUL to work with. For a large office project, we needed 32 customized cakes in two different sizes, and we're so glad we chose Albertsons and Theresa and her team to help us. Theresa went out of her way to make sure everything about our order was perfect, even taking the time to call me when she was unsure about which frosting color choice I wanted for the border decoration. The cakes were delicious as well as amazing-looking, and were so well received by our colleagues. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the time, talent, and personal care you took to make our order everything we hoped and more!! With much appreciation!! ~Heidi and everyone at Willes Orthodontics read more

I have always had great experiences shopping here. They really honor the 3s-a crowd thing and get me checked out faster. You can see by an earlier review from me at Vons this was not the case for shopping there. I know that albertsons and vons are owned by the same parent company, but why such a better store experience at albertsons? The store is cleaners, better customers service, and imo a better bakery and produce sections. Perhaps it is legacy company culture and perhaps it is good leadership. But they will continue to get my business as long as they put the customers first. read more

Fantastic butcher at the Marron Road Albertsons in Oceanside. I have been making special trips to this store just to see Alex and have him cut meat for me and my family. As another reviewer said, this is not the closest location but Alex and the whole meat department is worth the trip. Alex is truly a person who cares about his customers and every time I go in he greets me like an old friend which is very rare in this day. Overall this is a great store - clean, well stocked with friendly cashiers. read more

Every time I go in to this location I have not once had a employee say hi to me. If I do ask them a question it seems like I am bothering them. At the register they do an ok job with at least saying hi and bye. There never is enough registers open. Sometime during rush hour there can be 5 plus customers in each line, why do they have so many refugees yet never open them. I shop Trader Joe's mostly because they have better prices and much much friendlier employees. I only go into this location if other stores are already closed. read more

Albertsons customer service keeps going down. I was there the other day and I was being helped by this large Hispanic male in his 20's and he had a real bad attitude. Customer service was clearly not his specialty. He was rude, not friendly at all. I think he works the seafood department too. He is the worst employee there. He's Either at the deli or seafood department and he is real bad for business. Please remove him. I shop there at least four times a week and I plan on going to Walmart if he continues with his poor customer service /attitude. read more
