This Albertson's location is our neighborhood store. It ain't the fanciest market in the area, but the people that work there are the best, from Tina in the Deli, to Cathy in the butcher shop, they'll do anything to keep customers happy. The store is clean & well organized & produce is always fresh. We watch of course, for sales & they have amazing prices during their sales for some of our staples. Chocolate chip cookies made fresh in the bakery are fantastic. Chicken dinner specials, Pizza day specials, once you know when they are & you watch the sale flyers, you can get some great scores, too. We save additionally because we buy Albertson's Cash Cards through the free Lyoness program online which pays us cashback & saves a bit, too. I started shopping Albertsons in 2012 and the majority of the employees are not polite with me and in fact I can hear them as I leave the store make nasty comments about me and my appearance. I always smile and accept that they are not polite people. I only shop there when they have good sale prices. There are times I leave this store and I get to my vehicle and the amount of hate and negative energy I had to deal with makes me cry. I will never understand evil people. Because I am financially challenged I do shop where I can get the better deal but seriously Albertsons may not be worth it. You have rude employees and some of your foods have expired dates on them. I really like this store. It's an older store and is usually less crowded than Ralph's or Vons. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I once had a big return for soda and the manager very patiently refunded me my money to the penny. (Pre Covid Times, of course, no time for that now.). The reason I give them 3 stars is because of their fried chicken. They deserve 4 or maybe 5 stars but the fried chicken is not good. I'm only complaining because this was the best fried chicken in the west valley, by far! That was pre-Von's days. Since Von's took over the chain the fried chicken has been on a steady decline. Both the Saticoy Albertsons and this one had consistent delicious chicken, but since Von's took over its crap. Step up your game Albertsons! My mom, a senior, went to Albertsons at Nordhoff and Balboa this morning and was totally impressed with their helpful service, stock availability, cleanliness, and overall ease with which she shopped. During this very difficult time of coronavirus, she did not find every single item she wished, but they made it easy and comfortable to get most of the things she needed. I can't begin to explain how grateful I am that I could talk with her after her shopping experience and to hear how thankful and happy she was. . . certainly making her time away from "stay at home" a comfortable and productive experience. So i gave their Deli 3 chances. Your Deli deserves "0". The only reason i'm giving 2 stars is because they have some nice polite employees. But, never again would i buy anything from their deli. Today for the third time i bought Chicken tenders from them and OMG awful again. Overcooked & dried up and crunchy. i was also going to order fried chicken and some wings, but they were cooked to the bone, yes it was so dark, dry and nasty it was sickening to look at. Suggestion to Albertson Corporate Management :) Teach your management to perform figure 8's. You know what i mean, just incase if you don't, following a figure 8 basically means you do different department checks periodically in order to ensure that your individual departments are performing their duties, "Operational Objectives" looking for Quality Control Check, Cleanliness, Organization, Safety, Speed of service and Guest Satisfaction. If you perform your figure 8, at 3 to 4 times a shift you will end up by your deli and witness the horribly cooked food that you are serving to the customers. Maybe not the newest or cleanest place, but the employees are so friendly. We are regulars there with two sons buying the purple bag of cookies for $3.99 so good! The guys at the check out are super nice to my son with special needs and even when I go alone..I always get a friendly smile from them...I'm not a big fan of albertsons itself, but these guys make it feel like a good neighborhood place to shop! read more

Manager refused to accept my manufacturers coupon because they had the product on sale. I drove 20 minutes to this store because they carry the item I have the coupon for. I won't make that mistake again. She could've at least offered to show me their coupon policy which they keep at the register not online. I won't be back. read more

Bakery this is for you!!!! Kenny and Rebecca, you both are so amazing and I can tell you not only are good at what you do, but it shows you care and take time to execute the perfect cake. You both did exactly that! My son picked out his cake with a personal picture and you guys definitely warned me with whipped cream it can distort or break and it did not. You guys made my sons 10th birthday that more special. Thank you both so very very much for your FLAWLESS execution of his cake. My son thanks you and so does everyone who ate it. This review is only about the meat department not the entire store. Since Cathy has left the department has become very lazy . The Easter roast were all 3-4 bone roasts and they would not cut smaller ones or even cut it in half for meThis was never a problem in the past . Ralph's has smaller roasts in their cases and got my entire Easter weekend shop of over$200 . I love the rest of the Albertsons store and staff but this has left a bad taste in my mouth read more

Rarely, do I go to Albertson's stores, though I've heard good things about them. We were having a celebration at work so I stopped at this Albertson's to buy several liters of soda. This store happened to have a really good special on the 2-liters but, I couldn't take advantage of the sale. It so happen, I don't have a Albertson's card so the cashier told me he can't honor the sale price. I thoroughly explained that I don't come to this store regularly and was just here to buy the soda for work. After explaining and asking for a one-time exception, this man was stern on not giving me the sale price. You'd think he owned the place. He could've made an exception, but that's okay because I have no plans on returning to this store. read more

I don't know why I decided to order a cake here for my daughters birthday but I did....I didn't think you could go wrong with a princess cake from the catalog. I ordered a chocolate cake with fresh bananas with a Disney Princess and the Frog design two weeks before my daughters birthday party. When I went to pick up my cake there was only one person working the counter and they were swamped with customers. When I finally got my cake it looked horrible. It didn't look anything like the design and all the colors were neon and bright instead of pastel like the picture. The design looked so rushed and ugly compared to the picture. It was very disappointing. Being in a rush and seeing how packed it was I didn't have time to complain. The cake tasted fine but it looked down right tacky. I expected more for a 50 dollar cake =( Even my 6 year old said it looked "funky" and it was embarrassing to display at such a cute party. read more

God bless whoever invented self checkout! This location is awesome and most of the people working here are the same since I've been a kid. Very knowledgeable and always around when you need them. Now back to my first statement, the lines can get crazy which is not the employees fault, its the fault of the customers for the most part. I like the cleanliness of this location, things are usually in stock and the produce is usually fresh. Great corner market and close enough to my house so that I don't have to keep a warehouse full of food in the fridge and I can just buy enough for a few days at a time. The staff is friendly and willing to assist you with your needs. They have a nice butcher shop with fresh meats. The bakery is small, but they put out some of the best cakes and breads. Wine is much cheaper at Ralph's. Albertsons gives a paltry 10% discount when buying 6, Ralph's offers 30% discount. This is $2 difference on a bottle of ménage a trois or gnarly head, much more if you have more expensive tastes. I tried to return my overcharged wine, complained and no effort was made to match their price, as other places do. Tearing up (melting) my Albertsons card. I have a wide selection in the valley, and this place is now on my reject list. read more

The staff here is actually very friendly, but all of the positives end there. I think the one word that would sum Albertsons up is GHETTO. I feel like this place hasn't changed since 1987, and the prices are always more expensive than any other supermarket. I've been coming here for years and have seen staff changes quite a bit. Today's visit was so annoying. I come in and get what I need then leave that's how I'm able to tolerate this place. Every time I walk out I always ask myself why did I come here for and paid so much for something that was less expensive elsewhere? It's the convenience that keeps bringing me back. Just a few minutes drive away from me. As I was ringing up my items in the self-check out the cashier Susan turns and yells at me "what did you just scan??!" While she had a line full of people. I replied and then she turned around and started about her business. 1. What the hell are you yelling at me? 2. I what I scanned is none of your business? 3. Where you going to help me by asking what I scanned? I think not! You have your own customers to deal with. So, as I proceed to pay the machine for my purchases the machine freezes on me and the gentleman manning the sel-check out looks at me like I did something wrong. Are you for real?? Needless to say, the machine froze and I had to be rang up at the register. On the way out sure enough the machine charged me twice. I just wanted to buy breakfast for my family and now I'm feeling agitated by these no sense people. Look Susan, if you're unhappy where you work maybe you need to find something else to do. Ok, time for me to venture out and hit up a grocery store to write about. Normally, not much in the way of excitement rating a grocery store, but this particular visit to Albertson's was note worthy. My girlfriend, son and I went in just to pick up a few items this past saturday afternoon, nothing out of the ordinary, just some odds and ends. When we were browsing the isles, one of the workers spotted us looking over some juices and he quickly asked us if we had grabbed a sales flyer from the fron of the store. We hadn't so he insisted on running to the front and bringing us a flyer. He actually really did run too...he came back and the cupon he presented us with was for exactly what we wanted to buy and it ultimately saved us like 3 or 4 dollars. I have never actually recieved customer service other than the check out people in a grocery store. So to Andrew at this particular Albertons location...I thank you! Later after checking out we noticed Andrew in the parking lot collecting carts as well, this kid will definitely be moving up the chain of command with this type of caring about his job...Well Done!! read more
