I am out of state visiting Morro Bay and stopped in at Albertson's today for some groceries. The cashier, Jacinta, was the rudest, grouchiest and unprofessional person ever. She ommitted two of my purchases and didn't have the common knowledge to just add them to my tab. She had to turn it into a whole separate purchase and then had the nerve to shake her stupid head at ME!!! Prior to my transaction, I observed her being rude to the customer in front of me as well. As if that wasn't enough, my daughter and children were in line behind me, and she treated her rudely as well. This woman has a job a zoo monkey could do, but even that was too much for her. This sour attitude has turned us off so much, we'll do our shopping elsewhere while we are vacationing. We don't need nasty people like Jacinta clouding our view of Morro Bay. read more

Only 1 check stand open with 5 people in line. The checker, Jacinta R, was slow and rude

We went to Albertsons this morning, buying barbecue items. We decided to get the premade garlic bread to save a little time. We looked all over the bakery department and couldn't find any premade garlic bread. My husband asked a lady at the deli counter who then asked a man who was working in the bakery (I didn't see any other people working in the bakery). He politely said, " Oh I'm sorry we don't have any right now." I said, "that's okay." He immediately said, "but I can make you one." I looked at him and smiled and said, "really." He said, "no problem. Which bread would you like sourdough or French." He happily walked to the counter and made our garlic bread and handed it to me with a smile. I couldn't help but ask his name, West (like the direction he said). I told him thank you West. I believe when someone is so nice and happy to help it should be seen and recognized. Thank you West for your superior customer service and kindness. You made my day. Kindness matters. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. The deli employees are the worst. Chatting with each other instead of waiting on people. 4 people waiting. I was told only one person in the deli speaks English, so only one person can wait on customers. Drove down to Vons SLO. Was waited on in deli with three people waiting, shopped for other groceries, a total of ten items. Left the store in less time I waited at the deli in Albertsons. Save yourselves and just drive down to Vons. Their customer service is far superior to Albertsons. read more

Cashier Scott H was extremely helpful today. I had selected items to buy, found my wallet wasn't in my pocket, he held the items while I went to my car, found my wallet and returned to find someone else had left her wallet on the checkstand. He was able to get it back to her. A real ambassador for Albertsons! read more

Workers here are very courteous of keeping everything Covid-free. I'm glad that I can shop without feeling like I've entered a contagion-zone. Also, everybody works hard here. That doesn't go unnoticed. Every time I'm having trouble with the machines, an actual person comes and helps. And one of the Employees even inserted a dime into the machine when my EBT couldn't pay for the bag. That was so nice! Thank you, hard working employees! Hope everything becomes less stressful! read more

We are visiting Morro Bay from out of state and needed a few things from the store. We wrongly chose Albertson's. We were at the checkout stand of one seriously rude and disrespectful cashier by the name of Jacinta. I watched her belittle the customer in front of me because she was paying part cash and the rest on her card. She was sighing and rolling her eyes during the whole transaction. When it was my turn, I was holding a huge overpriced Mylar balloon I was purchasing for my grandson. She forgot to ring it up, and rather than just adding it to my total, she first made me pay for my purchases and then rang up a whole new charge while shaking her stupid head at ME during her incompetence. Unbelievable!! My daughter was next in line and she too, was treated rudely. That's when I'd had enough and told her she needs to get her attitude checked. She basically has a job a zoo monkey can do but acts like customers are a bother. Someone needs to train this nasty woman how to be professional and how to treat the people that keep her from being homeless with some respect!! read more

The meat department is amazing at the Morro Bay location!! Shawn P., Cypress, and Mike provide stellar customer service! Cypress went out of his way to let me know an item my family likes, was on special one day! Shawn helped me go out of my comfort zone (cooking red meat successfully) and even told me how to prepare it and my kids were so impressed that they asked me to "make that steak again soon." A+ guys!!!! read more

Deli waited 10 minutes for fresh salt and vinegar wings to be cooked. Bought 2.5 lbs $23.00 worth of raw wings. Got them home to have them for supper and they were pink and raw. Luckily I was able to cook them in the air fried. Couldn't taste t he salt and vinegar flavor either. We buy these a few times a month. Usually they are good. Today they could have poisoned us with food poisoning. read more

I keep trying to give this grocery store another chance simply because it's in a convenient location, but every time they are a disappointment. Today I waited 8 minutes for a helper at the self check-out, with the machine saying over and over..."help is on the way"!! crazy. Then they finally arrived only to tell me I had to go to the main line. They had 2 cashiers on a busy Saturday morning with long lines at each, and no express line open. I gave up and left. Their fish is rarely fresh, even in a coastal town. The produce is overpriced and the service is non-existent and unfriendly. Avoid Albertsons!!!! Ralph's in Los Osos is less expensive and a friendlier store. read more

So, I went in on 11/27 to pick a few items and check my lottery scratchers. I won $20 and went to Guest Services. No one was there. The nice cashier on 1 called over the intercom. I waited. I waited 10 minutes. He sent another young lady to check in the offices upstairs. She replied, "none of the managers care there!" The cashier called on the intercom...again. Another 3 minutes. Michelle, a manager comes up. I am visibly upset (even through my mask) and she mocks me by saying, "I hope you have a nice day" I tell her I have a lottery ticket and then she misgenders me. Bear In mind this is my local grocery store. Been loyal for several years. I tell her, "Excuse me! That's Ms" and she offers me a weak, unempathetic apology and I lose it. After making me wait for so long and to tell me that nobody told her that there was anyone there. What do you think the overhead intercom speakers are for? I cursed at her and she storms off. This is not how you treat your customers, alienate and then anger people of the LGTBQ who are not only customers but also local people. Here's the kicker, other staff members have seen my transition and adjusted kindly and sweetly to me. However, Michelle is rude. And here's why. Companies in CA have additional training to be mindful of Race, Sexual Identity, & Disability and for someone to be so callous to ignore such training is what hurts. To be honest, it was her condescending tone that hurt and angered me the most. So, keep going to this Albertsons, but avoid Michelle! read more

Keep selling raw fried chicken every time . Someone will get sick. Gave you benefit of the dought many times.

Been shopping here for the last three and a half years. Always get good service with a smile. Prices are a bit higher but their produce is super fresh and their meats are great quality as well. Plenty of parking and late store hours. The store is always well stocked and organized. They always have the products I need. Perishable and no perishable alike. As a local, this is my market. I especially like the produce section. However I made an mistake and went on last Saturday afternoon. I was very disappointed about how many people were in the store without wearing a mask. SLO County is under a mask mandate and I do believe businesses are required to enforce this mandate. I felt unsafe with at least 1/3 of the shoppers were without a mask. I did say something at the check out and I got excuses and "would you like to speak to a manager". There was even an employee at the main entrance recruiting new employees, so the excuses really didn't fly with me. I know Albertsons Morro Bay you can do better to protect your customers safety. Oh, BTW I'm not interested in anyone's opinion about masks, so just scroll past if you want to lecture about your mask ideology. read more

Don't come here if you have a virtual E-gift card. Even though it's designed to be VIRTUAL, the manager REFUSES to accept unless it is printed out??? Manager ran to hide and didn't want to answer questions. Bad system... I even asked if my gift card balance is tied to its number to prevent "fraud" and they said no it doesn't work like that. Did some research afterwards and the photo shows otherwise. Makes no sense. I feel bad for the workers that have to deal with these issues while their manager hides :( read more

I always shop here at Albertsons. This is very good store. The store is always full with people bunch of cashiers if they see more than 3 someone's on the phone saying Three's a Crowd and more cashiers come. When I go to the store I always say I'm just getting a few things but I always leave with a basket full. The store always has some good sales going on and great deals I really love their Fab Five deals bunch of items to choose from and save a dollar on each item when you buy 5. The store is always clean well stock. The only time I don't see it stopped is when it is in the middle of a display change or store setup. Or it's a really good sale and everything is sold out. Sheesh...no carts available, no employees the least bit interested. Left the store, 15 minutes, still no carts. Crazy!

There were so many items out of stock that I went in there for, the lines were long with 2 check stands open, the staff unfriendly. And hey I am a nice guy. I've lived in Morro Bay my whole life! I've shopped at Albertsons since I was a young girl. I use to love this store, I will say its staff is still amazing! But I'm giving it a one star rating because they re-did this store and they didn't take care of it at all. They did all this work to remodel it and they never clean the parking lot and it's always so filthy. It's embarrassing that in our beautiful town we have a store who has trash all over the place and doesn't clean it up. I will also say, that it's this way no matter what season it is, but when it's tourist season its almost unbearable to go and see how much they don't care about our beautiful little town and their own store. It's so bad that I have debated calling the city to complain. They should take a lot more pride in the place they area and their appearance. read more

Very uncomfortable waiting in line for 20 plus minutes on a Monday evening. 30 plus people in a line. 2 checkers. Unsafe conditions here.

Great store! Clean, friendly staff, convenient. My son dropped his favorite toy in a random slot under the coin machine and I had heartbroken that it was lost forever. Two weeks later when I returned I asked a cashier if there was any way it could be retrieved... but Adam (cashier) had already done so, and saved it for me! This is what I love about Albertsons! They're a family friendly grocery store. Thank you Adam, my son is happy to be reunited! read more

Manager Michelle and Florist Hayle, are my HEROS!!! I came into the store distraught, I was getting married the next day in Santa Barbara, was on my way there, when my flowers that I had ordered from a local florist (Harbor Floral) showed up in horrible condition! It was awful and I was a mess to say the least. So, through tears asked if there was a person in the floral dept? Michelle said not yet but the person was scheduled to come in later, was there anything she could help me with? I broke down and said I have a wedding emergency. She stepped right up and said, Let me see what I can do! She immediately contacted her employee (Hayle) to see if she could be there early to help out. Turned out Hayle was already at work but just hadn't started her shift and jumped to the rescue! Hayle was amazing, she took care of the situation and fixed it on the spot!! And we were able to get on the road to Santa Barbara without much of delay. These two need to be commended for taking what was a wedding disaster and saving the day!! Outstanding customer service from both. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were. read more

It's always a hassle shopping here as they never have enough cashiers, but last night was THE WORST. The cashier, Tina, didn't even look at me when I stepped to the counter after putting my items on the belt. During the entire transaction she just kept her head down acting like she HATES her job. After ringing everything, she started bagging my items. She didn't even tell me my total. I had to ask her if the total displayed was my final total. She looked at the screen and said "yes". I then asked why my digital coupons weren't displayed. She looked back at her screen. Hit a couple keys. And finally my actual total was displayed. Again, she said NOTHING. Her attitude was extremely distasteful. I cashiered at a grocery store for several years and NEVER behaved even remotely close to her behavior. I always shop here, despite the long lines and short staff. I understand that happens, but Tina's DESPICABLE service is probably the final nail in the coffin for me. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would, but I have to give it one in order to post this review. I don't know why the store continues to hire people that are clearly not fit to work in the customer service field. It is not that hard to scan items with a smile on your face. If you do not like interacting with other people then this probably isn't the right field of work for you. I had the misfortune of having to deal with the most rude cashier this morning. There was only one line which is a whole other problem in itself but anyways, the cashier was extremely rude and condescending, and she rolled her eyes at the gentleman bagging my groceries. He was very polite. He was doing the best he could, and the cashier rather than help him, just rolled her eyes at him and scoffed. I helped him before she did. Then I had to come back for some items I forgot but unfortunately that "employee" (heavy set woman) working the self check out line was even more rude than the cashier. After my first experience with the ONLY cashier there I thought I would self check out. Terrible idea. This woman doesn't even wait for you to finish your transaction before jumping all over you. I don't even know why this self checkout woman is employed when she brings absolutely nothing to the table. She just stands there, breathing heavily over your shoulder, making everything extremely uncomfortable. Albertson's is losing clientele left and right because of the terrible customer service. Terrible ambience. read more

I always thought that I disliked grocery shopping, four months of counseling has uncovered that it's actually grocery shopping at Albertsons that repulses me. My sincerest apologies to the other stores! Seriously, my heart starts racing when I conquer a parking space, my palms and forehead start to sweat as I make the trek across the busy road and through the various booths selling jewelry, cookies, Jesus as my savior, etc. Then the panic attack really begins because I know what I'm there for...there ground beef that's on sale. You all know the stuff, sale price only applies if you purchase 3lbs or more but not over ten pounds! Why do this??? Is it to torture already tired customers? So I make my way to the Meat Counter and politely ask for 5 two pound packages of this sacred beef because that's what my freezer can handle. Despite my politeness and excessive verbal gratitude, my kindness is met with various degrees of eye rolls, heavy sighs and just straight up pathetic excuses for why my simple request is just too much for this "customer service" person to grant me. No I don't want the phallic ten pound meat roll, it doesn't fit in my freezer. No I really don't feel like going home and repackaging three feet of meat either. Yes, I understand that "other customers might come", it's 7:00am and there's only two other people in the store but you have my consent to help them and I will patiently wait. After finally getting my beloved two pounders I finish my shopping and check out. I feel like I have been over charged but am re-assured that if I clipped it on the app then it came off my total. But it didn't, it never does completely which I discover after returning home and combing (translating) my receipt. I call customer service who insist they can't help me and I have to go back to the store to get my $12 back. They get two stars for being clean and for Olivia. read more

HAVE YOU SEEN THE PRICES??? It's literally as if Albertsons has the audacity to DOUBLE/TRIPLE the price of EVERYTHING in the entire store. The Albertsons Game Plan: 1. Go to a reasonably priced, intrinsically decent, grocery store. 2. Buy everything. 3. Open our own store in an easily manipulatable neighborhood where we can pose as a "local" grocery store. 4. Sell everything for twice, sometimes even three, times as much as the retail value. 5. With limited options in grocery shopping, they'll have to buy from us. 6. Absorb greed. If you like to buy your food for an obscenely unreasonable price, this is your store. **Update // 16 March, 2017 Milk - $5.99 per gallon 12pk of soda - $8.99 Not joking... go take a peek at the audacity of this local thiefery market. read more

I have seen a steady decrease over the last year. Every time I go they always have a handful of missing items on my list. Which is very frustrating. Whomever does the ordering really needs to get it together. Also a lot of the time the produce leaves something to be desired. They cannot even supply a popular ice coffee that is often sold out. I feel like they do a great job if you want to shop there Friday or Saturday since they seem to have fresh offerings and stocked for the weekend tourism, but what local wants to deal with the crowd!! Even worse now that Cookie crock closed because more people and still not supplying correctly! Get it together! read more

Run of the mill grocery store. Standard chain prices, good selection and lots of parking. There are a few other stores in the same lot (Rite Aid, Dollar Store, etc.) It serves a very practical purpose for both locals and visitors to Morro Bay. If you're visiting the area, it's a great place to stock up on drinks or snacks. We were lucky to have a decent sized hotel fridge, so came here on our first full day on Morro Bay to get items for road trip snacks, beverages and light breakfasts. Minus a store because even on a 45 degree evening, they had the AC BLASTING!! It was so cold that I rushed through my trip and probably left without a few items. I literally was so cold my hands were shaking and I was shivering-not fun when you're simply trying to grocery shop. Otherwise, a clean and perfectly adequate place for your grocery needs. read more

We got in here pretty late looking for something to eat that wasn't a burger and fries. While I grabbed cash, my bro disappeared to find the facilities. We met again at either end of the same aisle, facing each other like gunslingers seeking to prove once and for all who is the fastest draw. This grocery store ain't big enough for the two of us. The refrigerated organics, cheese and other such nonsense ran for cover on my right. Candy, chips, coffee and bread hid in alley ways and aisles on his. We advanced towards each other, step by step, hands ready at our sides. My thumb twitched involuntarily, almost setting our duel off prematurely. A family of harmless bystanders stepped out into the aisle between us like townsfolk naively exiting the general store into the middle of a gunfight, and, sensing the imminent danger or maybe just anxious to get back to their shopping, darted back down the next aisle, running for cover. Suddenly aware of how foolish we looked as we approached each other, ready to quick draw make-believe pistols, as if we had regressed to ages six and eight, we both instead broke into dance steps worthy of the Temptations. You would have thought they were filming a scene from Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. I'm sure the local townies keeping a close eye on us through their electric eye-in-the-sky had dialed a nine and a one and were waiting to see where we were going with it all. Which goes to show: if you're going to look the fool, you shouldn't half ass it. Oh no, when we're together, we're a whole ass. We departed the dusty main street-turned-slick-grocery-store-aisle and began a fruitless search for a sandwich or something of that nature that we could buy and eat and wouldn't raise our already genetic dangerously high cholesterol. We found fruit. The sandwiches and wraps did not appear palatable at 9pm, so we figured we'd grab a bag of cherries, some apples, and even it out with a Big Mac from the McD's outside. It occurred to us in the midst of making disparaging remarks about the hair styles of some of our fellow shoppers that we should take it upon ourselves to supply the S'more fixings for the coming weekend. Our dad had already told us not to worry about food supplies, he would provide, but... would he? I mean, I'm sure we'd have plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner supplies that would be reminiscent of provisioning and feeding scores of hungry boy scouts. But we never ate s'mores on boy scout camping trips, unless they were the annual 'family' camping trip, where we all collectively were embarrassed and aghast at our non-boy scout family members' total lack of camping skill: "You mean... you just decided to leave the trail to dip your toes in the creek, and you didn't notice the bed of poison ivy? What kinda greenhorn* are ya, mom?" *NOTE: I never actually used the term greenhorn with regards to scolding my mother. We found S'mores fixings at the head of an aisle, all collected together for the benefit of out-of-town-campers like ourselves. Graham crackers, boxes of wood skewers, huge Hershey bars in either milk OR dark chocolate flavors (you'll be relieved to know that NO ONE had purchased a single dark chocolate bar. Who ever heard of dark chocolate on a S'more?! That's crazy talk!), and much to our total surprise and utter dismay, bags of TEENY WEENY marshmallows. Like the junior size you decorate cupcakes with. What moron stock boy decided that THAT was a good idea? We found the last bag of jumbo marshmallows tucked deep in the back of the bottom shelf in the neighboring aisle. It seems our fellow campers hadn't been put off by the diversionary mini-mallows stacked up in plain sight, either. Thoroughly provisioned, we checked out up front, remembering at the last second to buy a couple bags of firewood. Our checker didn't seem amused at my brother's and my playful banter about the relationship between spinach and anal sex. http://www.yelp.com/biz/gotham-comedy-club-new-york#hrid:Kh4lMcdKEC0wmhpz7FUqDw Townies.
