Oh how I missed shopping at Albertsons. I hadn't been to one in years since they moved out of Houston. Today, was my lucky day because I needed groceries while vacationing in Wyoming. I was quite surprised that they had white Japanese sweet potatoes, they have the purple skin sweet potatoes, and plenty variety of savory potatoes too. The salad selection was vast as well too. I didn't expect to see vegan options such of tofu, tempeh, vegan cheeze, wonton wrappers, etc, but they had it all. One thing I wasn't expecting was there's NO plastic bags. Cardboard bags without handles are .20 cents/each and the reusable bags are $1.99/a piece. I just decided to get the reusable bags so I can use them again at Aldi's in the future. The reusable bags look small, but are very spacious without feeling heavy if you overload it. The handles are very sturdy too. I must mention the prices are fairly reasonable than Kroger's especially in the produce section. The crackers were pricey compared to Texas prices. I'm just glad the vegetables were cheaper. They are like a giant warehouse/Kmart with impersonal service. They have everything under the sun but don't expect much help with bagging your groceries. Even employees not busy didn't help with our HUGE order. I'm not a spring chicken and some of those young guys standing around could have helped me! This is my "go to" grocery on our yearly treks to Jackson, Wyoming. It's familiar, has everything I need, and they're efficient. It's like visiting an old friend, frankly. What I enjoy about this Albertsons: *On occasion we've bought great bison burgers and steaks here *Love their inside Starbucks that fresh grinds my coffee choice, has a nice seating area with a fireplace and a great condiment station for dressing your coffee. *You're greeted at the entrance with their beautiful floral department. As a tourist I'm not purchasing flowers, but I greatly appreciate their beauty. *Seasonal items at entrance-camping chairs, firewood etc. *They strategically place hiking/camping needs for grab and go convenience. *In the front of the store you'll find a nice variety of local goods such as huckleberry products and souvenirs. *Don't forget to bring your own shopping bags! This is not for the store, this is more for the pharmacy. I have gotten the same medication for years from this pharmacy. This time there was something a bit different, they had a task call and ask me if I was allergic or not - no, I have been getting this for years, like previously mentioned. Then when I received the text that the medicine was ready, the price had more than doubled. I called to ask why. The tech that was helping me let me know that Workman's Comp didn't cover - I told her it was not part of WC. She let me know that this is just how it is then, and I asked her if she could please look at the past and compare the prices to see what had changed. She said nothing and wouldn't look. I asked to speak to her manager - got put on hold for 28 minutes and then gave up. Thanks and great customer service. If you work somewhere and answer phones, please do not be so rude and vague to the customers. I truly do not even think that she let the manager know that I had a question. She knew that I would hang up after half an hour because I am at work. Sad and frustrating. read more

Strictly a Starbucks review *** Terrible service , employees stood there talking while 4 of us were standing there waiting in line. Then they took my order , 2 drinks- one basic one a bit trickier...messed them both up. I even called the ball when my gf basic drink came out messed up. They fixed them but we had to sit there and wait for them to complete a couple others first. When visiting JH area, Albertsons has everything you need. Some have comments that it looks like a converted Cabella's outdoors store, fail to notice that is the dominant architecture in this area. Part of a large chain of grocery stores you likely already have a club card membership. We bought plenty of fruits and vegetables since it can be hard to get some healthy options when eating out all the time. read more

We went to Albertsons every day while we were in Jackson as it was about half a mile away from our hotel. We mainly visited for made-to-order deli sandwiches, fresh fruits, cold cuts, cheese, bread, and sandwich spreads. While the prices weren't low, it was cheaper to get groceries from Albertsons as opposed to paying for sad sandwiches at the National Park stores! Pros: - Convenient location - Convenient hours ( 6 am to midnight) - Lots of parking spaces - Huge store with a large deli for sandwiches, cold cuts, cheeses, and side dishes - Social distancing and masks were required - Attached liquor store - A good number of self check-out machines Cons : - Deli sandwiches were inconsistently made by staff (we were overcharged once, some sandwiches were generously assembled while others weren't) - Empty shelves but I'm sure it was mainly due to being peak tourist season read more

This place almost had everything we were looking for while we were in JH and was clean and well organized .The produce and meat section had a lot of options . The staff was friendly and helpful . This Albertsons stocks some good, local options (huckleberry products and souvenirs too) and includes locally-themed animal silhouettes as parking lot isle markers. We found the basics we needed here for a weeklong stay in nearby Victor, ID and even returned to snag a bag of Idaho chips after reading an article about the business owners and concept behind the chips - potato chips made IN Idaho using genuine Idaho russet potatoes with a focus on the potatoey flavor created by the russets. I was very surprised and impressed with this Albertsons. Where I'm from, all the Albertsons have gone out of business. This one had a great selection. We stopped in here before heading to our vacation rental. They had everything you could possibly need. It is a very busy store. One thing I loved is that you did not have to have a loyalty card to get the sale prices. You can bring your own bag, buy a reusable one or get free paper bags. Your shelves were picked over and even empty - even though you clearly had staff working hard to restock with what you had. Cons: Been a cashier for years. Still can't work this damn self-checkout without it treating me like I'm some petty criminal. Seriously, manager override everything, and/or the machine barks at you when something is removed from the bagging area. Horrible setup and the lines are always so long for actual cashiers. The pros: -Mexican gentleman who's always at self checkout is super cool. -Service otherwise is solid AF. -Excellent selection -Cost is mid for Jackson -Store is always warm, if not too warm -Safeway fuel rewards. This place is legit! My husband and I got everything we needed from this place when we went to Grand Teton NP. Every product was fresh and the place was really clean too. We loved their salad bar, and the fried chicken was really good too! The people were nice as well. They enforced social distancing and provided hand sanitizer too. We bought some fruits (grapes and cantaloupe), and the grapes were probably the best grapes we had ever had. They were so crispy and sweet! Definitely recommend this place!! read more

Enormous grocery mkt with tons of parking and fair prices. Open early, open late. Equally good in winter and summer. As a visitor to Jackson in both summer and winter, I have found this store accessible, easy to navigate, spacious and well-stocked. The produce is perfectly good but not whoa-amazing. The meat shop is solid but closes early evening. There's a liquor store seemingly attached next door. They have all kinds of OTC medicine, home supplies, camping needs. It's like the Cabela's or West Marine or REI of grocery stores. read more

Do not shop here. This store marks up items to an insane degree. They wanted $5.29 for a 2.5 gallon jug of water. That is ridiculous. You can get two 2 gallon jugs and a 7lb bag of ice from Smith's for under 5 bucks. Everything in the store is overpriced. I honestly cannot recall a more negative experience in a grocery store. We arrived at the store mid-day on a Friday in July. Obviously Jackson is close to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, so there is a lot of tourist activity, however most of the shoppers seemed to be locals. The other shoppers were among the rudest people I have ever encountered. It was insane. Nearly everyone was rushing around the store, bumping into people with carts, pushing us out of the way and making crass comments to us. I almost asked one woman if there was an approaching hurricane or other natural disaster because the shoppers seemed to be in a panic. Honestly, my only conclusion was that Jackson Hole is full of a bunch of jerks, which probably isn't fair, but it is nonetheless the only reasonable conclusion I could draw. The store employees both the one at the register and others in the separate liquor department were equally inhuman. For example while I was looking in a cooler for some beer one of the store's employees came blasting out of a portion of the cooler. Although he obviously saw me standing there because he was exiting through a clear glass door, he flung the door open onto me. It literally would have hit me in the head had I not put out my hand and pushed the door back. There were other grocery options in town, perhaps one of those is better. But judging from the actions of the clientele in the store this town is full of a bunch of elitists who are probably so tired of the "riff raff" tourists which keep their town in business that you can expect to be treated like crap anywhere you go in Jackson Hole. read more

The manager would not accept a return for a can that was opened when we bought it and bad fish (we had the receipt). The manager said that they do not accept those returns. I called the corporate phone to check what their return policy was and I was told that the store should in fact accept the return. I am most frustrated about the manager lying to me. Bought fresh pak of Persian cucumbers for $4.99 on Aug 15, 2022 for hiking next day Aug16 , went to wash Aug 15 and all slimy, went out of my way on vacation Aug 16 to return , paid cash had receipt they refused me my $4.99 back said I had to exchange or get gift card no cash back , I explained returning to home tomorrow in am and I don't shop at Albertsons where I live . She told me I have to either exchange or get gift card period here I have cash receipt dated day before showing I paid cash yet refused to do. I asked for store mgr she said she was front store mgr name Tanya , no customer service at all, this is not about money even though I spent over$200 at this store but the principal not shopping at Albertsons and affiliates again, gonna use Whole Foods next time I return to Jackson Hole Wy. Not sure why the negative reviews. This is a regular American grocery market that carries everything you would need whether you live here long term or are just visiting. The staff was very helpful, especially the deli and bakery staff. We got the basics for making sandwiches while in the National Park. Excellent selection of meats, cheeses, breads, even have a good lineup of organic options. We also got coffee beans, bananas, nuts, and condiments, everything organic. The store was a bit crowded in the evening and there were maskless people roaming around but I've seen that that seems to be typical American behaviour - petulance and imagined infringement on rights, low common sense, eager rejection of science. Whatever. But the store staff were all wearing masks and gloves so you'll be fine. Overall we'd absolutely recommend this Albertsons! read more

We bought bear spray with the expectation that Albertson's in Jackson, WY would be like Albertson's everywhere else. There's a reason why a city person visiting a tourist location continues to use stores that are familiar to us. We tried to return the unopened and unused product, and the store manager told us that there were signs posted "everywhere" that all sales were final. Of course, this wasn't the case, and when we finally found a sign, it was in small print on the entrance and exit doors (exit doors are ridiculous). This didn't matter to them, and they still refused a refund. Honesty, transparency, and consistency would have been appreciated. Next time, we'll shop at a local store, and support the local economy, rather than the corporate one. read more

Bakery Dept is sub standard. Limited items of fresh baked goods in the morning., but plenty of packaged crap no one buys. Not many options for breakfast items period in this over-priced store. Convenient grocery store with some good options. They have remade food that is delicious which includes sushi and also carries organic produce. We were able to find a lot of things we need eating a speciality diet like gluten free chips, kombucha and organic teas. They also had an extensive protein bar aisle and they are much more inexpensive here than buying at any other store around. The workers were also friendly and helpful here. read more

Operation time is misleading. It says open until midnight but the pharmacy closes around 8PM and the store around 9PM.
