This review is written in regards to the pharmacy I found inside the Albertsons Grocery Store on East Grand in Escondido CA. Sav'on Pharmacy This is the friendliest pharmacy I have ever used. There are two PHD Pharmacist always available to answer questions address concerns and offer guidance to help with what ever your going through. These guys are great and their staff is equally as helpful. We really appreciate having them! read more

It's Albertons, a usually very clean Albertons which is nice. The lines here are usually not ridiculously long, they have a Starbucks inside which is nice. The reason that I like to go to Albertsons is... their guacamole,,, its REDICULOUSLY good! Like if you have not tried this, you need to go here and buy it, and eat it. Just saying... read more

We started shopping at Albertsons, and specifically this one because of how clean the place always is. It's always well kept and well stocked. But it's rapidly becoming more and more of a hassle because of the lack of customer service, and lack of urgency at checkout. I waited this morning in a line of full carts waiting to be helped by the only checker open. Nice guy, but I'm sorry I won't talk to you anymore because you need to put all of your focus on scanning my items and then bagging them because Albertsons has chosen to hire people like Javi to bag groceries with absolutely no hustle in his frame. It took Javi (and this is no exaggeration) 1 minute to open a bag and put two boxes of Cheerios in it. I wanted to ask him to step aside and show it what just a little hustle could do for him. Albertsons, please for the love of God fund one more person to run a check stand, and then teach your baggers what a sense of urgency is and the importance of not cross contaminating things like I don't know.... raw chicken and my baby food. read more

This is a review about their shopper, Jennifer, that usually prepares my grocery delivery order. She is so conscientious when shopping that she will either call or text when they are out of stock and she would like to provide a substitution I actually want. Others will just sub anything - sometimes not even close to what was ordered - so when Jennifer does this I REALLY appreciate her. Thank you, Jennifer, for making grocery delivery so much more pleasant! read more

I have noticed absolutely ZERO courtesy clerks (aka grocery baggers). Not a big deal since I used to be one, so bagging my own groceries at times is not bad; However, today after grocery shopping I realized how important it should be to have courtesy clerks. The city I come from which isn't that far away from Escondido (Temecula), there are always courtesy clerks, and while your groceries are being scanned by the cashier, you realize you forgot something, so the cashier and courtesy clerk work together to say, "no big deal. We'll grab it for you." Well...sure as shoot I forgot something, so I let the cashier know. She was rude about it and said "too bad I'm almost done scanning your groceries so you're going to have to wait until I finish and get back in line." I didn't say anything since I am not confrontational, but in my mind I thought "excuse me b...." Anyway, it seems absurd to write a bad review about a grocery store on the customer service and lack of employees but this was flat out rude and disrespectful. Also embarrassing as other people were behind me. I ask if ownership of Albertsons read this--please hire more people! Please feel free to reach out about the situation because I don't know how I feel about wanting to return. read more

I recently started shopping again at this Albertsons this past summer. I haven't had any of the negative issues that some others have experienced. Everytime I have shopped here the store has been clean, well stocked with everything I was looking for, and the produce has looked fresh. I usually shop after 4:00p and I have never had a long wait in line and the cashiers have always been super friendly and helpful. When I started shopping at the store again, I met one of the managers named Carlos Parraga when they were having a customer appreciation event. They had free snacks and drinks for any customers coming in. I actually won one of the prizes they were raffling off! Carlos was very interested in my shopping experience and I could tell he wanted to do everything possible to make his store a top notch grocery store. Thanks for making me feel appreciated for my business and I hope you have more customer appreciation days! read more

I visit this location a couple times a month. It is always clean. The people who work there are friendly if you ever have questions. The prices are typically very fair. The seafood quality is excellent!! The buy one, get one deals are a bit of a scam (hence the 4 stars) since they jack up the prices to nearly $10.00 a pound....I learned that lesson once. read more

Once in awhile you come across someone who truly takes pride in their work. Albertson's bakers exceeded my expectations with the beautiful cake they created for my son's birthday. I looked online from downtown San Diego to Escondido and had no luck finding something this unique. Running out of time I told my husband to just order what he thought my son would like. I think my face lit up as much as his! This cake was boutique bakery quality, beautiful and delicious! If I could give you more than five stars I would! Thank you for making my son's day extra special! read more

Decided to head to Albertsons in Escondido at 6:15 pm tonight in hopes that I could pick up 50 pieces to celebrate a very special occasion. Having worked for Albertsons in the past, I had grown accustomed to excellent service from them. When I got to the service deli, I was told by a young woman working there that there was a requirement for advanced notice on orders that large. Cool, I get it. I didn't put up a fuss. The clerk then proceeded to tell me that the maximum amount of chicken I could order was 32 pieces. I said ok. She then told me the maximum was 24. That was not a typo! The maximum number was dropping right before my eyes! I had no choice but to accept what she gave me. I understand the need of having enough in stock to keep other customers happy but why not just give me the additional wait time and allow me to buy more than 24 pieces? I was waiting for her to drop that number to 16. She literally turned down a potential sale. I had the time to wait but she didn't seem interested in helping me. So, I had to complete my order at Popeyes (gross) because I did not want to drive all the way to San Marcos to pour more money into Albertsons. I'm disappointed and likely won't go back. Let this be a lesson. Do not expect exceptional customer service. I was left desiring more. This is not your parent's Albertsons anymore. read more

SO RUDE! Must have to be Mexican to get any courtesy, especially from Rosie. She was extremely rude to me but then very polite and helpful to the people online who are Mexican. That is not how I would expect to get treated at Albertson's read more

Kora from deli saved the day!! I realized that I didn't have enough food for my son's party. I went to the deli to ask if they're able to help me place an order a croissant sandwich platter. Given that the party was less than 15 hours away. I didn't know that we are supposed to give at least 24 hours noticed. (My fault) Kora assured me that she was able to help. She totally put me at ease instantly. She took my order and sent me on my way. Following day, with my terrible planning, I had to pick the food up much sooner than my 10 am pick up time. Of course she had it ready. She is one amazing lady! Thank you, Kora! Thank you so much for keeping me calm and taking my order! You are awesome!! read more

Had to do a late night run to Albertsons and the security guard was the worst. I knew that they would be closing shortly and he also let me know loudly. It felt like he was shaming me for even coming in. I knew that I should have gone earlier but I had just gotten out of work and could not go in earlier and it was super urgent. I felt bad for going in so late and he made me feelworse. No joke I got there at 10:49 left at 10:55. I knew I wasn't going to take that long but he did not care. The women at the register was super nice though. Would not recommend coming here. Security Gaurd even told me "you don't even know what we go through" as I was going into the store. So unprofessional!!! I even told him what I came to do and that it was gonna be quick. Then I realized that I didn't have to explain myself to him and he shouldn't have even made me feel bad in the first place. read more

Super rude cashiers... went in today around 6 and shopped. Went to the express lane since I had less than 15 items and the young male cashier was rude and my boyfriend had to bag our groceries because he couldn't be bothered. I won't be coming back to this location again, it's annoying to be around half-assers. read more

This Albertsons is not in the best part of town. The wierdos the loiter in front are strange. However there are quite a few pros: 1. Starbucks inside! 2. Great selection of name brand products 3. Large selection of meat and fish 4. Store is kept very clean 5. Fast self-checkout 6. Decent liquor selection for a grocery store Some of the bad things are: 1. They are not open 24 hr 2. Expensive 3. Again the shady people in and around Albertsons read more

Update: I tried 2 other pharmacies and nothing compared. I drive from RB to come to this pharmacy when we have prescriptions.

This review is specifically for Tony in the bakery. He is an absolute God send!!! He was the hero of the day today. My daughter bought a cake from someone on "Escondido Friends" from Facebook. Paid for the cake a week in advance, and the final product was absolute crap. My wife went to Tony and gave him about 10 minutes notice and he worked a miracle. He stopped everything he was doing to make sure my granddaughter had an awesome cake for her birthday. If you're looking for an awesome cake, seriously, go see Tony in the bakery. You will NOT be disappointed. read more

I've shopped at Albertsons for years but recently all the prices have skyrocketed to be not only out of my budget but I'm actually insulted! How can they sell coffee at twice the price? Also the meat counter at this store smells so horrible that it makes beach bathrooms desirable. I'm done with this store. read more

I love this Albertsons, I have been going here since I was in 2nd grade when it first opened. Many of the employees have changed over the years, but there are also the trusty and true who I love to see whenever I visit! When my wedding came around in December, I knew that I needed a piece of Albertsons in it and I decided to go to the cake master, Tony, in bakery for my wedding cake! My cake was MORE delicious looking than I could have ever imagined and it tasted decadent AND it only cost me $31!!! My videographer (who has done weddings all over San Diego) said it was the best looking cake he's ever seen at a wedding! See the pictures and decide for yourself! We froze it and ate it two months later and it was still as amazing as our wedding night! Thank you Tony and the rest of the Albertsons family for making all my grocery shopping a blast over the years! read more

Cheers to Keith, met him at the register. He was very welcoming and went above his duties to give great customer service!

Why is there always only two lanes open. Doesn't matter how many people are in the lines. Doesn't matter if it's during a busy time. Only ever two lines open. Why. I don't understand. EDIT: I'd just like to say the majority of the checkers there are very kind and helpful. Still gotta get your ish together when it comes to opening more lanes. read more

Newer, tidy store with lots of selection. Pros: meat department They go out of their way to accommodate customers. When they were out of the chicken thighs at the counter (the $1.99 special), they provided the prepackaged thighs instead. AND they recalculated the cost so I would pay the $1.99 price. They could have just issued a rain check or told me to come back the next day. Instead, they made me a happy customer! Cons: cashiers C'mon, please use the quantity key. No point having everyone wait while scanning the same difficult- to-scan bottle ten times. Argh! read more

I normally do not review grocery stores- but the people that work here are ALWAYS helpful and kind.

This is my go to weekly grocery store and I love shopping here. I know the checkers and they are all first rate. This review is of the pharmacist from South Africa only. I had interactions with him in the past which were fine. On my last visit to the store he erupted in an anger outburst at me that was prolonged, unprovoked and severe. It was an upsetting experience and I will not return to the store because of it, which makes me sad because I like the store. Beware of this pharmacist. I was shocked by his strange behavior. read more

Hello. I'm writing this because this store not only has a horrible work environment for the employees but even for us customers. A manger there named Blanca is nothing but rude to her employees even as we wait in line. Also have had more than one time where cashiers said they were going to quit just because of this manager always making work more like a place to suffer than to honestly get the work done. I can't see how they can deal with an environment that seems nothing but hostile from the outside. I feel that this store should be looked in to for numerous reasons by the City, County, State and federal regulators who deal with this kind of thing. This work environment is horrible the way they treat employees and costumers. This is not expectable standers to be working or living by. This store is unprofessional and lackluster at very best and must be addressed before someone much more important steps in to fix it. Get on it on this before someone reaches out to someone to fix for you! read more

I usually shop at Vallarta because they have everything I need at affordable prices...one day I decided to try Albertsons. 2 things happened: 1. The same brands I usually buy were there, same sizes and everything, but were nearly $3 more, some items were worse! GROSSLY OVER-PRICED! No wonder the store was virtually empty. I'd estimate that there were 5 people shopping there, including me! That was convenient but the prices WERE NOT. 2. There was only 1 lane open, had 2 customers in it, so I decided to use the self checkout. I've used self checkouts a million times, never really had a problem until THIS DAY. The machine kept telling me that I had an unexpected item in the bagging area, but I did not. Everything that was in the bag had already been scanned and rang up. The man who was standing there, the employee, just stood there and watched me. Didn't offer any assistance at all. So after about 2 minutes of trying to get the machine to work I grabbed all my stuff in the bagging area and took it over to the lane that was open. At that point the employee from the self checkout came to me and said "oh did you want to cancel all this over here?" I said "yes go ahead and cancel it the machine is giving me problems." He said to me "all it's asking is how you want to pay for your items." I said "yeah maybe now it's asking that, but for 2 minutes straight it was saying something else and I was trying to figure out the unexpected item in the bagging area and you just stand there and watch me with no help at all." So I cancelled all his self check out garbage, checked out at the lane and left. I was two seconds away from punching this guy in the face. He had a major attitude problem too. Albertsons sucks and so does the guy at the self checkout. NEGATIVE STARS! Between the prices & customer service it's a wonder that they're still in business read more

The cashier Brooks today was the worst service we have ever had at this store. He rung up our $200 of groceries, and bagged them really bad. Then he told us to put them in our cart. I didn't not know this was our job. He was pretty rude. read more
