Ordered cleaned Alaskan Snowcrab for a party, and got two trays of fake crab meat. Digital ad did not disclose fake crab. In fact, it stated "cleaned Alaskan Snowcrab". The photo shows real snowcrab, but contents were in stick form. There was not one ounce of snowcrab in the trays. Christmas party was looking forward to real Snowcrab, what a letdown. Manager showed me a flyer that indicated it was not real crab meat, but digital ad I used did not mention the crap crab. read more

The prices at Safeway are basically Fu prices. A bottle of lamarca prosecco cost twice as much as at Fred Meyer. It was $24.99 compared to $12.99. organic broccoli on the sign said 4.50 a pound. I grabbed two small bunches with a total weight of not more than a third of a pound. At the checkout they said it is 4.50 per bundle which makes this about $15 a pound for organic broccoli. I will never shop at this store again. read more

WHY I'M BOYCOTTING ALL ALBERTSONS GROCERY STORES! Everyone asked me why I HATE Albertsons so much. Because they are down right thieves. This is a grocery store that you know they buy everything in big pallets. Let's say for the sake of an argument that because they buy it in large pallets they are now paying $1.00 per box. Mark up of 500% in my book is just legalized stealing. I will no longer darken their doors. From this day forward I refuse to shop in any of their stores and I will be boycotting them. Taking advantage of people who are desperately trying to lose their weight for health reasons is not a reason to literally STEAL from them. Making it impossible for them to afford what they need. elane the manager is very helpful and nice. she helped with the problem I was having with a card. cool, calm and collective she was. comment on the isles: going from produce to food then to non food and then food again is stupid. has to be someone who sits at a desk and thinks of these stupid things. paper plates and cups in the baking isle, really. there is something to be said about flow. might as well put checkout in the back of the store. new layout for produce and floral is great, nice clean look. please give Elaine a pat on the back. she is very helpful. read more

My finest review and appreciation to Mark, and Kaari at store # 243 in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Another customer had brought her little dog in the store and it jumped up on me being friendly. Accidentally it's paws were sharp and it drew blood on my leg. My checker, Kaari helped me with tissues and then called the manager Mark, to help me. He took me to customer service and bandaged my wound. I thought that was professional and so kind. It wasn't the dog's or owners fault. I have always enjoyed this store and it's location. read more

I went to buy hamburger buns in Coeur D Alene Albertsons. The only visible ones felt stale. I could not find a sell by date. I bent down and in the back of the shelf there were more all with "sell buy" dates in bold letters on the front. They removed the sell by date to sell stale bread. Not the first time this has happened at this store. Is this Corporate or just CDA managers? read more

The absolute BEST customer service I have encountered in my 58 years! From Rick the Store Manager to the clerks helpers EVERYONE in the store provides such amazing customer service that I am constantly impressed. Elliott the manager of the meat department always goes above & beyond as does his entire team. The same can be said for the rest of the departments. Any requests are met with prompt courteous action. There was even a time I was searching for a particular item and the store manager, 3 department managers and a clerk searched for it. The manager of the meat department found it at a sister store and offered to get it while I completed my shopping! Seriously who dies that!! The family comfort of the employees is truly rare in this day if absent customer service. I can honestly say I have never had any employee be anything but wonderful. Wow. I don't even know how it's possible to mess up a cake this bad, all I can say is I am grateful it was for my 21st birthday and not an excited small child. My boyfriend bought my pink birthday cake yesterday, and when he went to cut it open once I was home and happily surprised, we found the inside of the cake soaking wet!!! Like the cake itself had been rained on! My boyfriend spent good money on a boxed cake and I am revolted. I've never been an Albertson shopper and that is certainly not going to change! I have never really liked Albertson's but would hold my nose (sometimes literally; the fish can be real rank) and shop there if there was a good sale. Today, I stopped in to grab a half gallon of milk that was supposed to be about $1. I get to the milk section and there is a blackhole where the milk on sale is supposed to be. Also, there is no milk product that is less than almost $3. So irritating. And not the first time something like this has happened there. Never going back. read more

I was the last hold out ... .my wife refused to go back due to: 1. "store feels dirty", 2. bad fish and meat (twice we had to take back a purchase - rancid) and 3. incorrect pricing on multiple items (she stopped hassling the indifferent clerk the fourth time we were overcharged and never went back). I was a hold out until this week. I responded to an add promoting 3 names in wines (3 types). The store only had one bottle of each at the sale price (I am talking big vineyards, like Columbia Crest). When I found other grape varieties in the same name but I was told ("oh, that is not included) omitted, though the ad stated "Columbia Crest Wines). Smacks me of blatant "bait and switch". Why do they only sell choice chicken with skin already removed ? The big value packs have the skin on but the chicken is subpar . I asked the person at the meat counter and they said they don't sell cut up fryers anymore , that I could by a whole chicken and cut it up myself . Wow not good customer service ... it is very easy to remove the skin so why do they take the skin off all the good chicken . Customers like having a choice so I will be going somewhere else to buy chicken . read more

The customer service in this store is lacking. I usually don't mind to go to albertsons because they can be more genuine and helpful than the big retail stores. Unfortunately this one has a plethora of employees that are subpar in their customer service skills. I sat in line waiting for ten minutes as 4 employees looked at me but none were wiling to help not acknowledge I was in line. Sometimes this store can have good deals but for the most part they are more speedy. The prices here can be awful, and the workers are hit and miss. Brad is by far the best cashier they have in the entire place. He's friendly and polite, and knows what he's doing. The same can't be said across the board though. If I do go through a line with a checker, I make it a point to go in his line. Otherwise, just use self check! read more
