She had already checked out her groceries, but offered to let them go thru her bags and purse, because she knew she was innocent. They found nothing, of course, and she left that store hurt, humiliated and angry at her treatment. There was never an apology offered, and the whole family refuses to shop there lest they get the same treatment. This is not a store that values their customers spending money there.

I LOVE WINCO FOODS SO MUCH…read more Winco is my favorite grocery store and I love it. It is home to my favorite colby jack cheese sticks - winco brand. However... around like 10 of the cheese sticks in a package do NOT "Peel Here." Instead, I have to get scissors and cut them open. Private Selection Belgian Chocolate Irish Cream Ice Cream…read more I am an ice cream connoisseur. I normally buy only premium ice cream made with the best ingredients, with a high butter fat content and little to no air added. For that reason, I am a bit of a hard sell when it comes to grocery store ice cream. Intrigued by this particular flavor, I checked out the list of ingredients and bought it, as well as 5 other pints of PS, all of which were on sale for $1.88. It normally sells for $2.99 a pint. It is also available in half quart sizes, which normally sells for $5.99 per currently on sale for $4.49. I have only tried this flavor so far but far exceeded my expectations. I would go so far as to say that it is hands-down, the best grocery store brand ice cream that I have purchased. For example, last summer I tried several flavors of Albertson's Signature Reserve ultra premium ice cream. While the flavors were intriguing, the ice cream itself was disappointing. PS's Belgian Chocolate Irish Cream Ice cream looks exactly like the picture. There are big chunks of cookie mixed into it. The ice cream itself has great flavor and is very smooth and creamy. This is one of the best new chocolate flavors I have tasted in years. One of the things I really like about this ice cream is that you are actually buying a pint. Years ago, Häagen-Dazs raised the bottom of their pints instead of raising their prices, which I would have preferred. It's called truth in advertising. Even at $2.99 a pint, this ice cream is worth every penny. * I purchased this ice cream a couple of months ago. I look forward every time I go in but it must be one of the most popular flavors because it's always gone. Next time I find it, I am buying several pints. Highly Recommended!!!

There are other local grocery stores that focus on natural and clean foods, but I have found them to be more expensive than Whole Foods, which is surprising, but true. I've done the math! They also offer a lot of pre-packaged lunch meals, soups, salads, precooked organic chickens (although I find them to be small, and sometimes overcooked most of the time, so I usually buy a raw chicken and cook it myself at home). I wanted an asada burrito.. and let me tell you, I got my asada burrito. It reminded me so much of my favorite little market back home, it just made my heart sing. I am not a fan of beans, so my burrito consisted of meat, rice and a cilantro onion mix. They served the burrito with verde and rojo salsa on the side. I liked them both.. so I alternated the salsas with my bites. One thing I personally added to my burrito was fresh lime juice and pickled jalapeños. It's what I did back home and I have zero regrets. I are the entire thing as well (again, no regrets). The market is great. There are a variety of drinks as well as cervesa. During my visit, I purchased some pastor meat as well as asada to take home and cook. Their butcher has some amazing looking meats. I've also heard wonderful things about their marinated pollo.
