So glad my favorite grocery store was within walking distance from our hotel! We needed some snacks and quick bites before heading out to the Potato Hotel, and Trader Joe's was exactly what we needed. We picked up wraps, sandwiches, chips, and and even found an Idaho-themed shopping bag as a souvenir! When I got back home to LA, the TJ crew was so impressed with the bag since they'd never seen an Idaho one before!

I love Trader Joe's so much that I started a Facebook group called Trader Joe's Foodies. I am fortunate to live near two TJ's locations in Southern Idaho. I love each store for different reasons. My favorite thing to do is walk-through the store and see all the new products, many of which I purchase. Shopping at Trader Joe's is a great way for foodies to try new things, in a budget friendly way. I love that many of their products are made in the countries those items originate from. I love Costco and Grocery Outlet too,, both of which share the "treasure hunt "aspect of Trader Joe's. But my all-time fave is Trader Joe's.

At last. Trader Joe's has come along. To Boise. As predicted. The parking lot is too small. Way. Ridiculously way. But there it is. Being married to a Trader Joe's fan and finding myself in Boise with him on TJ's opening day, of course we had to make the pilgrimage to see the new space. (Cool Boise murals on the walls). But this I say to Yeeps and other Peeps, unless your life (or marriage) depends on it, you may want to postpone your visit to Trader Joes for a few days until the chaos abates and you can avoid playing bumper cars in the lot. But, says my hubby, what's the fun in that? THIS N THAT 1) PARKING: Aforementioned little lot. Street parking. Good luck with both of those. Public garage a couple of blocks away. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible (AKA ADA) parking spots (2). Level in and throughout. Plenty of space in aisles. TJs always gets it right. In fact first customer in the door today at opening is a man using a wheelchair. Cool. 3) OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN: TJs has this quirky ship / team format everywhere. Fun. Store managers are called Captains. The Captain here is Scott Dudeck. Seems like a very nice guy.

Always helpful, usually well stocked. They will always take time to help you find what you're looking for. Some items are seasonal though.

Friendly workers and the prices were great. We were staying across the street at the Grove so the location worked out perfectly.

It comes with four falafel and two samosas, hummus, and a salad. I didnt get any samosas just six falafels. If they had told me they were out I'd have ordered something else. The hummus had no flavor, the garlic sauce had no flavor, the salad was tasteless. I had to add salt because they only put an oil on it. I wasn't satisfied with the food. I don't think the falafel was even homemade. They looked and tasted frozen. I was very disappointed in the meal. It looks pretty, but had no flavor. Also, parking. There is absolutely no parking. The surrounding businesses wont let you park in their connected lot. You will get towed. Parking in their lot, you pull in and there isn't a back road, you have to put your vehicle in reverse to get out. Can he dangerous if you park all the way in.

No greeting and sort of seemed like they didnt want to be there. Not rude though. Food is delicious. Falafel were flavorful, crispy, but not dry. The hummus was almost smooth. The pita had a little stale texture. It's pretty pricy, but we'd come back if we were craving it. Oh yeah, the market is great too.

Private Selection Belgian Chocolate Irish Cream Ice Cream…read more I am an ice cream connoisseur. I normally buy only premium ice cream made with the best ingredients, with a high butter fat content and little to no air added. For that reason, I am a bit of a hard sell when it comes to grocery store ice cream. Intrigued by this particular flavor, I checked out the list of ingredients and bought it, as well as 5 other pints of PS, all of which were on sale for $1.88. It normally sells for $2.99 a pint. It is also available in half quart sizes, which normally sells for $5.99 per currently on sale for $4.49. I have only tried this flavor so far but far exceeded my expectations. I would go so far as to say that it is hands-down, the best grocery store brand ice cream that I have purchased. For example, last summer I tried several flavors of Albertson's Signature Reserve ultra premium ice cream. While the flavors were intriguing, the ice cream itself was disappointing. PS's Belgian Chocolate Irish Cream Ice cream looks exactly like the picture. There are big chunks of cookie mixed into it. The ice cream itself has great flavor and is very smooth and creamy. This is one of the best new chocolate flavors I have tasted in years. One of the things I really like about this ice cream is that you are actually buying a pint. Years ago, Häagen-Dazs raised the bottom of their pints instead of raising their prices, which I would have preferred. It's called truth in advertising. Even at $2.99 a pint, this ice cream is worth every penny. * I purchased this ice cream a couple of months ago. I look forward every time I go in but it must be one of the most popular flavors because it's always gone. Next time I find it, I am buying several pints. Highly Recommended!!!
