Blown away by how knowledgable the mechanics are at Albert's High Tech. They definitely know Prius engines inside out. My Gen 3 Prius had 154K miles and was misfiring and was barely drivable. They replaced the head gasket and tuned it up and now the car runs smooth again and gets 51 miles to the gallon. Thanks guys!!!! read more

Yesterday my friend stopped by this service and changed the oil, filter .... I have a few questions for you guys... I'm changing the oil on my 2.8 BMW and paid $75 for it, the guys filled me with almost 2 gallons of synthetic oil..... and the Prius is the same price ????? Lmao, okay... Headlights $40????? Is this something special for a 2004 car?????? I don't recommend this place because it's overpriced and where is my receipt???? Or I can't get a receipt if I paid in cash???? And another one, the worker said I should change the pump and showed my friend the leaks, said it would cost me 600 dollars, but I already changed the pump two months ago and it was previous leaks, I forgot to clean it, and this there was a reason to try to get $600. Guys, think twice when you want to go there!!! The total cost for an oil change, an air filter change and two light bulbs is $140, which is not too bad, but again, the workers are not trying to provide a quality service, they are only trying to make money off the air. read more

Albert is our go to family mechanic/body shop. He's always responsive no matter what time of the day you reach out to him. I've had several experiences when I was in so much stress and I had no idea where to start in terms of repairing my car, or weather it was fixable at all. And he always guides me through the process step by step with such patience, and the repair times are so fast, I have my car back sooner then I know it, he positive attitude to life and the way he's passionate about what he does, is so zest full and takes the stress element out of the car repair process, and makes it a smooth and seem less experience. I've referred several of my clients and family members and friends to him, and they've been nothing but grateful, to get to know to Albert and his great work. read more

Albert is the most honest mechanic in the valley! 10 years ago I lived down the street and stumbled upon him because of how close he was. Several years ago I moved to the north valley and tried a few other mechanics that were closer, the prices they'd charge were astronomical compared to Albert, not to mention all the other "problems" they'd find that were nothing more than sneaky ways to make more money off you. I continued to take both my wife's car and my car to Albert even long after he was no longer right down the street from me. Albert and his team love what they do and they charge just enough to stay in business. They're experts on all things hybrid--never take your car to the dealership ever again. Go to Albert. Then keep coming back to Albert. I just relocated out of LA and sadly have to go back to the drawing board to find a mechanic, but I wish nothing but lots of business for this gem of an auto shop in the valley. read more

I've had a lot of stressful experiences with auto repair shops especially being a girl with little to no knowledge about cars. Albert has completely gained my trust as I've been taking my car to him for about 3 years from everything to oil changes to maintenance repairs here and there on my 2004. Albert is so kind he takes care of my car while giving me the peace of mind of knowing it's in good hands. He always shows me what's going on with my car and explains it to me thoroughly. He makes sure I understand, explains the cost, breaks down the process - but he's absolutely nice and very considerate about it. Never patronizing. He's an excellent business owner and a kind and generous man. Albert communicates and delivers like a true professional. He takes pride in the quality of his service which has made me trust him and keeps me coming back. -Loyal customer read more

I highly recommend anyone to come here if your first mechanic is not available which of my case. Thanks! read more

Crook and/or dishonest businessman and automechanic On 07/25/20, i went to repair my car due to constant battery drain even when i turn on my car at least 30 min/day. I specifically told him the issue ,"the car constantly run out of battery even after i change into a new battery and a new alternator earlier this year." He changed the ignition switch after the inspection. I asked him "does it have anything to do with the problem of running out of battery" which he replied "Maybe. Just come back if u still have problem. You have a 1 year warranty." In the following week, my car still run out of battery which required jump-start and i decided to came back today on 07/30/20. He refused to honor the warranty with the excuse "It's a different problem." How the hell would i know if it's different problem, all i know is the same issue still persist/exist and it was not getting fixed. At first, he was using excuses that i came to the shop for ignition switch problem. After i pressured him, he admit that i told him the battery drainage issue and he thought maybe fixing the ignition problem will also fix battery drainage. Yet, he still refuse to honor the warranty. $300 down the drain. Then He proceed told me he would need several days and at least $500 to check what's wrong with my car which i declined. Avoid at ALL Cost!!! You have been warned. read more

Been going here for years! Always takes care of me and the lowest prices around for the best work. He literally does everything lol!

I go to Albert High Tech for my oil changes and trust them completely. Quick and easy.

Needed an oil change on a 2014 GMC Terrain. This small SUV is 4-cylinders and takes regular gas. Inquired about the large sign they have advertising the $25.99 oil change with free car wash. Came there and they looked under the hood and told me this car requires full synthetic oil for $60. Looked in the owner's manual and it just says 5W-30 oil, nothing about synthetic oil. If you want to be upsold on an unnecessary service at more than double the advertised price, this is your spot! read more

Grate service, smart mechanic guys, quick and reasonable prices, Hopefully will stay the same in coming future! Good luck in everything

To be fair, I don't review businesses based on only one visit. So this is based on years of using Albert High Tech. I originally met Albert through another technician who replaced my hybrid battery. Albert had installed new brakes for me but then I found out that he could also service my car and he turned out to be so much more affordable than the dealership so I started going to Albert for years and he did such a good job. I also recommended a couple of my friends and they've been going to him too. Then came the time when my catalytic converter was stolen. Albert was AMAZING. He found the new part, tuned up my car, checked the air pressure in the tires, looked at my battery and even dealt with the insurance company. I felt like I was dealing with family. I'm just a customer but but Albert has just made me feel like a friend and I appreciate finding someone I can trust. I'm just glad I found him. read more

Albert was fast, thorough and cordial with the PPI I needed. 20 minutes, in and out.

I should have done a review years ago. Albert is awesome! I started coming to him several years ago when my Prius had battery issues and continue using him for my hybrid Lexus SUV. He is an upstanding guy, has fair/honest prices, and does great work. He tries to save you money where he can and will offer to find used parts at a lower price. Anything auto related from repairs to just an oil change, if you are driving a hybrid, Albert is your guy! read more

Electric cars have very little (if no maintenance). My 2014 VOLT is a "plug-in hybrid", so I do change the oil once in a while even if I don't use the gas powered generator. I recently had a major issue with the radiator and thermal management system for the large battery. Albert & his team quickly diagnosed & fixed the problem for 1/2 the cost what a Chevy dealership would charge... Thank you! read more

ALBERT HIGH TECH has been such a blessing to our family. I am a full time musician and i travel all over the state and Vegas. Albert kept us rolling each time we had major and minor car issues... all the information he gave us about our car was spot on each and every time we checked into it... he even blessed us with a temporary car so that we didn't have to rent a car. He is trust worthy, fair, kind, funny and above all he has integrity! We love the free car wash with the oil change! read more

I wish I had discovered this shop sooner. They guys there are pretty cool and friendly. The sign on the sidewalk for $25.00 oil change with free car wash caught my eye. Well, twice already I dropped my car off while I went for my daily jog at Magnolia park. When I came back, my car was ready. No BS, no pressure to buy services I don't need. I tried other chain shops for my FIRST oil change after buying my certified Acura TSX in like-new condition and these mother effers were already trying to talk me into paying for stuff that I knew I didn't need because my car was so new. *shakes head* anyway. Do yourself a favor and get your oil or service from these guys. You'll be glad you did. I'm calling today for my next service. If they screw up, I may have to revise this review ;) lol. I will always choose a mom and pop place to get my oil changes because they are more personable, they work harder, and give me better deals. Albert High Tech does just that! Albert is so nice! He offered me a nice Starbucks frappuccino (the can one of course) while I'm waiting for my car in his nice comfy leather couches. I didn't even expect to get a free car wash for my oil change. That was a nice surprise since my car really needs it! I'll be back again! read more

Albert is such a friendly guy, who really surprised me with a great customer service ethic! As a woman, it can be hard to find a mechanic you can trust not to take advantage of you. He offers free car washes with his oil changes, and he video recorded some of the complicated work he did under the hood so that when I returned to the shop, he could show me some of the oil leaks, etc that were causing issues with the cars performance. I am very glad to have found someone so close to home that gives me peace of mind when I have car maintenance stress! read more

I've been coming here for a couple years to get my oil change and a couple of repairs. Albert has always given me the best service and has saved me a lot of time and money. As a woman, I have ALWAYS felt very comfortable coming here and everything is always explained to me in detail. I've never felt pressured to pay for any unexpected repairs and I'm always in the know with what's going on with my car. I highly recommend this shop to anyone that lives near or in North Hollywood. read more

I was about to go out of town and my check engine light came on. I always hate going into a shop as a woman. My dad worked on cars so I know some basic stuff but most mechanics treat woman like we don't know anything about our cars. I may not be a mechanic, but I do understand the basic functions of most of my engine's components. My car was idling low and had a bit of a shake to it, so I had a pretty good idea of where the problem was. But at the same time I wanted to be sure. I was a little short on funds, but heard great things about this shop (and the Yelp reviews were good), so I decided to take my car in. I also knew my breaks were in need of replacing. They checked my car out and I needed a new Oxygen Sensor, and one of my spark plugs was not firing. Plus, I was well over due for an oil and break change. The parts for my car are not cheap, but Albert kept the labor costs way down and got my car back to me in just a few hours. I also asked him to check my timing belt. He knew that I was a little pressed for cash but when has that ever stopped a mechanic from over selling you? He said my timing belt could wait a bit until I could afford to get it replaced. Since the timing belt is a big expensive job. He also threw in some spark plugs and a car wash. All said and done he had me in and out in no time, and my car is running better then it has in months. An honest mechanic, who would have thought such a thing still existed? I thought they were in the same land as unicorns and fairies. Seriously, this is a great place. They are nice and don't judge you. I was treated with respect, and I didn't get that "talk down to the little lady" treatment. They cleaned my engine and filled all my fluids in addition to all the other work they did. It's not a big shop, and not anything fancy, so if you are looking for a fancy place to sit and catch up on your daytime soaps or gossip shows, this probably isn't the place for you. Since it's a small shop, I would call before you go in, and I imagine that on the weekends they get pretty busy (I went on a Monday in the morning and they got to me right away). read more

I LOVE this place! It's hard to find a good, trust-worthy, reasonably priced mechanic but I have one now. I first found this place because I needed an oil change, it was a good price and came with a free car wash. Its been 3 years now and I have no regrets or complaints. Albert is a good and fair man (my car broke down and he made sure I could get home and back to the shop to pick up my car). I'm seriously blown away by his customer service. I don't know if it is because I've been coming to him for so long but the last time I left his shop, I was actually moved to tears because he went wayyy out of his way to accommodate me and my needs. Thank you Albert- I appreciate you! read more

I was referred to Albert High Tech for my 2013 Volt by my friend Scott Dupont, who has written a book on the Volt. Scott is an expert on hybrid cars. After getting a quote from The Auto Nation, Valencia Chevy dealer for 100k service and tune-up which was estimated at an amount so high, I would have considered just buying another car. I was so impressed with the level of friendly professional treatment by Albert and his mechanics. Although he said he would need to have my car all day for the extensive all-point service, including transmission service and all fluids, sparkplugs, oil change on the gas generators, plus much more, he surprisingly had the car ready by early afternoon. He covered all the points the dealer does and even more. My Volt has over 120k and is a pleasure to drive especially in LA where gas is at a record high of $5. per gallon. I drive my car with assurance and confidence that it runs smoothly, beautifully, and dependably knowing I have a pro like Albert High Tech who will service my Volt with expert precision and integrity. Albert High Tech is conveniently located in North Hollywood. I 100% recommend Albert High Tech for all hybrid cars from a simple oil change to full service. read more

I have been going to Albert for seven years now. I've also sent at least 5 friends to him who remain regular customers now. My Honda was on it's last leg at about 150,000 miles. Other repair shops quoted me hundreds of dollars more for each problem that came up. Albert ended up saving the car, and it lasted me until 250,000 miles! It was still running by the time I got rid of it but it was time for a new car anyway. He is honest and reasonable, and finishes work quickly. His employees are always really sweet as well.
