The overall look/feel of the store is similar to any Albert Heijn, my purpose of visiting this store was to return my remaining plastic bottles and cans for the statigeld on the final day of my trip to Amsterdam, it was fairly easy to get in and out of the store, and find the machine. The staff members seemed friendly, and spoke English, the self check-out machines also had an English option so were very easy to use. Again with AH pretty much having a monopoly on the grocery scene in The Netherlands, there isn't really much to compare the prices to, but the prices seemed in line and no more expensive than other Albert Heijns around the city. 4* - Pretty good Albert Heijn, it was clean and easy to find what I was looking for, and the location is pretty decent too.

They have a good variety of international candies and teas. Once heading to the check out, things get a little unusual for a tourist. They do not accept American credit cards. Your debit card needs to have a "chip" for their machines. I suggest using cash Euros and go through a service lane with a cashier. If you are with others who are not making a purchase, they will need to exit with your register receipt of have a service person let you out of the lane because there is a guard rail that is locked by the registers. I think that this grocery store reminds me of an Aldi's and Whole Foods combined.

Overall found it very well laid out and with spacious aisles. In fact, I think this Albert Heijn might be the largest one I have been to in Amsterdam as their stock included stuff like candles and kids games, items I haven't seen at other Albert Heijn stores previously. This store also had food samplings!! It was different types of dips with little breadsticks, and again this was something I have not encountered at other Albert Heijn's. Honestly I could shop here for hours but it's kind of tight (even though it's huge for Amsterdam) and during Corona-times, I keep it a bit short even wearing a mask. But geeze, I wish I could eat and cook more because everything is so good in there. What a gem to have in the buurt! Lot's of help if you need it. They are always stocking shelves. The frozen food is probably the same high QUALITY stuff the restaurants sell (but warmed up or cooked). I worked in Hong Kong for almost a year so I was hesitant when I saw the name "Hong Kong Superstore"...I don't know if it's more Hong Kong or mainland China, but who cares, it's great. The cashier could be a little more friendly but maybe it's because I don't speak Dutch and/or Cantonese! Prices are great. Not the kind of place you would visit as a tourist, but they do have non-food items which you would only find in a "Chinatown" type area. I think the worse thing about this particular store is that the entrance with the veggies and some of the meats is quite congested. Make sure you grab what you need while in that area because you will go against the flow if you have to go back! I learned that from experience. There isn't a huge selection of fruits and veggies, but definitely have the basics. There is a ramp or stairs in the back to get to the frozen foods, wines, juices, and other drinks, so don't miss it if you need those items. They do have good sales at times too. You just have to love buy one get one free and other deals like that! I shop here as well as Albert Heijn and Marqt when needed. But as I said, it's good for everyday items.
