Holy Moly! This store is located in, what to me, is a super odd place - almost like an industrial…read morezone which has self-storage and the recycling facilities nearby. It's definitely not a place can easily get to with public transportation either and the only reason I found it was because wanted to check out the Rataplan or recycling store which this is located near to. So the name is a bit of a misnomer cause it's all Indian subcontinent food and groceries and nothing from China/Japan/ Korea at all. I found the store to be very clean and well laid out, with everything having a price sticker. They also sell some hot food, but I purchased basic staples and some spices only. The owner was very helpful and friendly too. In comes Oriental Enterprise. So many cool and interesting products to buy. Most of the products are Asian but there is also some other international products available as well like American. The best part of going here is you never know what you are going to come out with. Sure there are certain hot sauces that I make sure to buy every time, but part of the fun is going and trying new things as well. They also have a small lunch spot at the front to get some Asian snacks and yes, they have bubble tea!

Honestly I could shop here for hours but it's kind of tight (even though it's huge for Amsterdam) and during Corona-times, I keep it a bit short even wearing a mask. But geeze, I wish I could eat and cook more because everything is so good in there. What a gem to have in the buurt! Lot's of help if you need it. They are always stocking shelves. The frozen food is probably the same high QUALITY stuff the restaurants sell (but warmed up or cooked). I worked in Hong Kong for almost a year so I was hesitant when I saw the name "Hong Kong Superstore"...I don't know if it's more Hong Kong or mainland China, but who cares, it's great. The cashier could be a little more friendly but maybe it's because I don't speak Dutch and/or Cantonese! Prices are great. Not the kind of place you would visit as a tourist, but they do have non-food items which you would only find in a "Chinatown" type area. Keep in mind, this is not the Chinatown in Amsterdam, so it's quite unique. If you're staying here in a place with a kitchen, go for it and make some Asian food for dinner!
