He sent me a very complete list, but apparently the crew did not get it. The crew showed up to repair the chimney and was up on my roof for a good part of the day. Before leaving they told me the job was completed. The insert technician showed up to put the new fire place in an couldn't, because the chimney was NEVER repaired. ‍ When they returned and asked why the job was not done (even though I was told it was) they said they didn't have the materials to do it. Finally, we thought the job was complete. The first winter storm, at the beach, blew the entire top of the chimney. Note, no other neighbors had chimney damage from the storm. For every appointment they have been 1.5 to 2 hours late. GPS gives them a clear idea that it takes 2.5 hours to drive from their business to my home. When I contact them, after they are a half hour late, I'm told they left an hour ago. NOT RELIABLE! I am left feeling very uncertain if the job has been done correctly.

I have no idea if this is good or not. I have nothing to compare the price to, since I couldn't find anyone else in our area that does true duct cleaning. Scott gave me the option for galvanized or stainless flashing and did not push the more expensive material. Most valley tradesmen make middle-class customers nervous, but Scott proved to be a professional and delivered the goods. Derrick immediately found a safety issue as no gas shut-off valve had ever been installed on it. I made a future appointment to install the valve and clean the fireplace. Derrick returned and performed the tasks to my satisfaction. I inquired about a new metal surround for the insert because the current one was make-shift and unattractive. Henry came out the same day and suggested that he could remake the current one into something better and less costly. And he did. I love the fireplace now, it works great, it is safe, and good as new. Derrick and Henry were both friendly, efficient, were patient with me, and took good care of my floors while performing the work.
