Although communication was spotty both Henry and Travis were very efficient with the install and chimney repairs. Henry pointed out that the front top of the onset was scuffed. They called in and got a replacement. Unfortunately for Travis who returned the following week with the replacement that part was also damaged. Travis called all over town for a replacement after regency told him to just touch up paint. Seriously??? How much did we pay for this thing!!! Lucky for us Travis found a part and made sure it wasn't damaged and installed. The 4 stars was because we had to call to follow up on scheduling since didn't get email of confirmation. Would recommend murphys but steer clear of regency products. If they aren't willing to replace damaged parts it's not worth spending the extra money. Also regency doesn't mention or show in any of their brochures the eyesore digital catalytic combustor monitor. It's attached to the side of the insert and has a purpose but they need to let consumers know that this ugly thermostat exists. We were blindsided when it was installed (no fault of murphys) and if you don't have it installed it may null and void warranty. Yes I'll post bad review for regency in as many places as I can find. I advised I just need an estimate and was told that they can come out but an estimate would not be given on site. Understandable, but the way it was presented was enough for me to look elsewhere. I'm always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, but my experience as a first time caller of this company to try to give them business was not that great.

Luckily Greg's was able to get one of their technicians out the next day. Jeremy was GREAT!!!! He called ahead to let me know he was on the way. When he arrived, he made friends with our large rescue dogs- putting them at ease. Then he went through the steps of lighting the fire place with me and making sure everything was still working properly. Highly recommend this company and every one of the employees from the receptionist to the technicians who made sure we were satisfied customers!

We hired Chimcare to fix our chimney and replace our insert. They sent an employee over to assess…read morethe situation and let the crew know what they needed to complete the job. He sent me a very complete list, but apparently the crew did not get it. The crew showed up to repair the chimney and was up on my roof for a good part of the day. Before leaving they told me the job was completed. The insert technician showed up to put the new fire place in an couldn't, because the chimney was NEVER repaired. ‍ When they returned and asked why the job was not done (even though I was told it was) they said they didn't have the materials to do it. Finally, we thought the job was complete. The first winter storm, at the beach, blew the entire top of the chimney. Note, no other neighbors had chimney damage from the storm. For every appointment they have been 1.5 to 2 hours late. GPS gives them a clear idea that it takes 2.5 hours to drive from their business to my home. When I contact them, after they are a half hour late, I'm told they left an hour ago. NOT RELIABLE! I am left feeling very uncertain if the job has been done correctly.

Excellent service, courteous, honest and professional...for those who want more detail: Greg's HVAC…read more(now out of business) installed the capacitor incorrectly while also using a "universal" size unit which finally shorted itself out against the incorrectly installed housing it was screwed into. Santiam HVAC sent an estimator to tell me prior to Rice, that I needed an entire new unit at about $7500.00 this without even opening the panel in the old York outdoor unit. I give Rice 10 STARS!
