This was my first time getting Russian Mani-Pedi after hearing it was basically the best thing in…read morethe world and I must say-it lived up to the hype! From the moment I walked into Amaryllis I was treated so well, offered a complimentary cocktail and treats. The space itself was pristine and both of my nail techs took their time and payed careful attention to detail. My skin is hypersensitive due to just finishing up chemo, I communicated this to each of my techs, they were so so gentle with my sensitive skin and my results were GORGEOUS!! I don't think I'll ever go back to a "regular" nail salon, thank you for the reset Amaryllis!!!

They have a curated menu of beverages to choose from to start your experience, including shots, which was so fun. I started off with a mimosa and ended with 1942 shots. I absolutely adored my Russian mani and Russian (smart) pedi!! The attention to detail was certainly unmatched and my nails and toes were perfect. My feet were the softest they have ever been after a pedicure, and the device they used to shave the dead skin was so gentle that I was not uncomfortable or ticklish at all. The bathroom was also super cute, luxurious and most importantly, clean! There were just two big things that I was not totally satisfied with. I love French on my toes, but they didn't have the greatest selection of base or natural colors to complement my skin tone for the pedicure. The saloon has their own brand of gel, so the range was not there. I ended up with a color that was too light for my complexion, but it was the best option for me at the time. They do help you choose the colors you want, and have a great eye for color matching if you have a picture. I believe it was more about accessibility to the right colors. The second issue was my manicure and pedicure did not last as long as I would have liked. The pedicure started to peel from the cuticle after the first week. I have been getting gel, French pedicures for years and I've been able to make them stretch for at least 4 weeks, so I don't think it was an issue of my personal maintenance. My nails lasted about 2 weeks before they started to experience the same issue. I was so sad, because I truly loved my experience at this saloon, but for the price, I can't justify my services not lasting at least 3 weeks. I would still recommend this place just to try. This was a one time experience for me, and I would be willing to go back again, but I wanted to shop around other saloons first.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Kjirsten from TanGlam! One of my colleagues referred…read moreme to Kjirsten because I complimented her on how stunning her tan was in her wedding photos. From the moment I contacted Kjirsten to the spray tan session (and post session), she was so friendly, professional, and personable. I've never had a spray tan before and was very nervous to have my first session for a wedding that I was attending. But Kjirsten eased all of my concerns and made me feel so comfortable: - She shared prepping and post spray tan infographics, which were so helpful and easy to follow as a first-timer. - She calmly talked me through the steps during the session so that I understood what was going on. -Plus, she remained available and reached out post the session in the event that I had any questions. I couldn't say more positive things about her and my experience. If you're apprehensive about getting a spray tan, don't be at all because you'll be in great hands with her! She's going to be giving me my spray tan for my wedding day in the Fall, and I have full confidence that I'll look perfectly sun kissed and glowing because of her.

I really wanted to love this place as I'm on a personal mission to find the most relaxing AND…read moretalented nail salon in Brooklyn. I was so disappointed in this nail salon establishment. Let me start by saying that since I'm on this mission to find the best, I'm aware that costs may be up as compared to other mom and pop nail salons. And I'm willing and happy to pay if the service and environment speak to that. That being said, for cleanliness I do definitely give them a TEN. Everything was super spotless, super brand new, and the tools used on my feet were brand new from a package. They covered the foot sink with plastic as well. My service I would give a FOUR out of ten. My water was on the chilly side and when I asked for my nail tech to make it warm, she added a bit of hot water and that was it. I decided to let it go and enjoy my pedicure service. She did well with prepping my nail beds. She filed, trimmed the cuticles, leg massage- the whole works that came with my package. I did the Spa Pedi for 35$. When it came to polish my toes, oh my goodness, the young lady was SO NERVOUS. I have no idea why, but despite her nerves she was able to do my pedicure and I had to advise her to put 3 coats and 2 coats was still too sheer. Sigh. This had me disappointed too because I couldn't believe she couldn't see that. At the fancy drying station, I was offered a shoulder massage. I declined because I'm really not a fan of massages most times. When I went to pay, the lady in charge was very aggressive about leaving a tip for the nail tech- which I was planning to do anyway despite her nervousness. The aggression of the cashier really put me off- especially since my pedicure looked completely AVERAGE and medicore (insert eye roll) and the experience was average as well. Overall- if you prefer cleanliness over anything else, then this is your spot. Other than that I really don't recommend and i will not be back. $40 for a mediocre pedicure is just not my jam. What I think would make this place better is more confident nail techs, more warm ness from staff and even if they offered their guests complimentary lemon water or something! Give the customers an experience for the $$$. Oh and if you're wondering my pedicure was on 6/22. It is now 6/30 and it has chipped and smudged without me doing anything to it. Waste. My rating is 3.5 but I have to settle for 3 since that's what's available.
