I stopped in with a friend a few weeks back while window shopping- the sparkly, pretty things inside were magnetizing! It's good to know that they are taking Covid seriously, and have hand sanitizer at the door. The gentleman working kindly asked us to use it immediately upon entering- this was very much appreciated. Purchased a few delightful goodies, and returned the following week to get some more for friends who complimented what I had gotten from the shop. If this place had a sixth star I would give it to The Lipstick Box. The decor is so fun and fabulous - the walls are silver glitter!!! (every girls dream!!) From day-evening bags, gorgeous jewelry and makeup, TLB has it all in one place. I always go in there for a gift and wind up with something for myself too!!! Whenever I buy an item from there I always get stopped to find out where it is from. Of course I tell them to go see Theresa and Lou. Lou is the sweetest!!!! He is charming, sweet and always extremely helpful. We always have a lot of fun chatting and laughing. They both make shopping such a fun experience!! I feel like a kid in a candy store the moment I walk in. No where else can compare. The prices are super reasonable, the location is easily accessible on 3rd avenue and the hours of operation are really good too. If you are looking for bridal gifts or bridesmaids presents especially it is THE PLACE! They are so honest and not pushy at all - both Theresa and Lou take pride in giving amazing customer service and make sure they satisfy the needs of every client that walks in. Really not impressed with this place. It's a two by two store that sells counterfeit goods such as Chanel, Hermès, Cartier, & David Yurman. They also have fake Gucci denim jackets. Everything in the store is way overpriced and they didn't put the air on either. Definitely won't be back. Went here for the first time today to try out some Mario Badescu products. The dude that worked there was so incredibly helpful and kind! He asked me what my skin concerns were and was able to recommend some products that he's seen do really well at the store. He also gave me some samples for products I wanted to try but was uncertain on purchasing (there's a no return policy). I'll definitely be back here. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. They do have a huge selection of accessories, there is really something for everyone and every occasion. From a distance, everything looks beautiful and really does wow you. However, when you take a closer look, the quality really is bad. I have seen a lot of their stuff in other places, like a stand in the mall, for a cheaper price. Also, I cannot tell you how many times I pick something out and it is broken. They do not really care when you tell them...you either take it for a couple of bucks off, or leave it. They also have a lot of imitation items. The reason I always go back to this place is because they have so many options for different occasions. But whatever I buy, I know I am not buying it to last me long. read more

Any Ladies that like good custom jewelry please, please do not go near this store, first the dimbo with her heavy fake eye lashes and horrible bronze tan that's not even, claims that all their earrings and necklaces are 9.5 silver sterling and that's a not true statement, I picked up a pair of earrings n necklace now the earrings fell apart and "Luciano" another dimbo said to me come to the store and we will see what I can do for you, I get their and both of them said oh well, we r so sorry take it to a jeweler. Now I take it next door to a near by jeweler and come to find out its not real silver so they couldn't fix the earrings now I am stuck with earrings that cost me $$$ at Lip stick box, fake sterling silver store, its a shame, bad news!!! I have been going to the Lipstick box since they initially opened on 86st. What attracted me to the store initially was the decor, the minute I walked in I was hooked! Who doesn't love to purchase matching accessories and great clutch bags! This store has amazing accessories. I have recommend this store to any women in need and everyone who has gone into this store have said the same thing-it's great! Both Teresa and Luciano are welcoming and helpful, they will literally ask questions about what you need and help you find exactly what you are looking for. The first time I walked in I was amazed at how beautiful the decor was. I was looking for some good long wear lipstick and skincare items. From the decor alone I thought at first everything would be very expensive and that was ok since I like to take care of my skin very well , specially during winter times. I was pleasantly surprised to see their prices were very reasonable for great products. I love that they have very natural products that don't harm your skin at all. The nice gentleman that I always see was helpful from day one! He gave me the best lipstick I have purchased in a long time, it didn't dry my lips and it was water proof, long lasting. And the face masks and exfoliants he recommended were prefect for what I needed. Amazing. I love that he listened to me and gave me exactly what I was looking for. He is soooo helpful , honest and kind. I'll always go to his store because I know he will listen and give me exactly what I need. Plus he made my skin look radiant and flawless again . I'm very pleased with his service and the store. Ladies do pay the store a visit. Look for the young man he is the best there( I wish I would remember his name but I'm not good with names) .
