Service was excellent! I selected the 100% Italian wool coat with fox fur collar while traveling to AK. I was able to lay it away. Once I received it, it seemed a bit too big, as I had lost weight. I was told to measure my chest area (bra size mainly). I received the replacement before having to send the first coat back as the free shipping label was inside the box with the replacement. I had a pair of 20+ year old fur slippers that were in dire need of a refresh. I bought them in anchorage, but didn't remember where. After reaching out to several fur stores I found on yelp and thru google, Alaska Fur Gallery was the only one I could find that did this type of fur repair. I mailed my slippers to them and I couldn't be happier with the results! They were quick, affordable, and maintained great communications with me. They even facetimed so they could show me the extent of the internal damage. They repaired the soles, as requested, but also fixed as much of the internal damage that they could, including replacing the interior lining. As far as I'm concerned, the slippers are like new! The employees working here are extraordinarily rude, beyond that it seems as though they go out of their way to do so. Steer clear, I do not care what kind of quality you are getting, if there is not good customer service then it is not worth going in and being treated like garbage by over zealous staff that come across as being full of themselves and try to lie to your face, and look away while you are talking to them, basically ignoring you. Yikes take your business down to the Alaska Fur Exchange the staff is FAR politer and have a much larger selection of furs and other products. read more

Alaska Fur Gallery has done awesome work for me. I had bought some (10) large coyote hides that they expertly put together in a blanket for us. Also in dec 2014, i brought them a vintage racoon coat which they expertly reworked into a modern style for a very reasonable price. They also clean and store our furs for us. They are a full service furrier with an amazing selection of furs. And if all that was not enough, they are very friendly, knowledgable, highly skilled and generous with their time. I ordered a custom fur vest, hat and gloves in May, 2011. The vest finally came to thier store on Dec. By then I moved and told them not to ship it because I had moved, I was going to come into the store and pick it up. They shipped it anyway to the wrong address where no one was living and it sat on the door step in the rain for 2 days before a ex neighbor picked it up. Finally got the vest at the end of Dec. , 7 months after it was promised. Now the middle of Jan. they can't find the hat and gloves. Very dissatisfied with the service and excuses. Won't do business with them again. Next time I'm going to David Green next door. read more
