The service requested: Family member moved to Alaska and needed his car from the lower 48's delivered to the Lynden Alaska Marine Lines barge for delivery. I attempted the drive alone to Seattle. I reached out to Alaska Auto Transport mid-drive out of a desperate drive situation where I needed to end the journey in Idaho. The manager Ty made calls and set up my transport last minute. My car has now made it to the barge. The entire process was seamless. I was provided tracking for my vehicle all along the way. These are my guys for auto transport to Alaska! read more

I scheduled a vehicle shipment from AK to FL, a month prior to me flying to FL. I shipped the vehicle so I would not have to rent vehicle every month. I paid the $4400 up-front, thinking they had a plan to transport the vehicle from Tacoma to FL. The vehicle has been sitting in TACOMA for 2 weeks, per the person on the phone, who is extremely unprofessional, no one has accepted the contract to transport the vehicle. Per the contract, dates are only an estimate and they do not compensate for lateness. Now I have to reserve a rental vehicle. Paying the entire bill up front is not safe with this company. read more

I'm missing a lot of tools because I used this company instead of going directly thru Matson, which would have been cheaper, I paid $3,150 plus l had to pay for a tow truck when it did arrive. My truck had been completely gone thru. Has anyone else had the same problem with this company, if you have please contact me. read more

I learned the hard way the very hard way, these guys are the ONLY company you should use. I shipped my daughter's car to Tacoma for College on Wrightway. We flew down to Tacoma were almost to the port her phone rings and they tell us our car wont be there for two more days!! Next, I shipped my car to Tacoma a year later, I used Alaska Car Transport, understand a few key facts, they are based in New York, they have NO presence in Alaska or Washington none, no office no employees no one. They sent me forms to sign which they kept getting errors on their end. Then I paid, then...that was it, I mean they literally went dark. I did everything from there, I drove my car to the port, I signed all the paperworks, I had it inspected. They didn't even tell me how or where to pick it up!! But wait it gets better, I kept waiting to hear when my vehicle would arrive, and finally, at 9 am Ak time im told it will be ready at 1, they close at three. I fly down, Lyft to the port and...Matson tells me no one has paid! I get ahold of "New York" car transport and they, I don't know what they did? Didnt pay? or file paperwork or what. So, I had to pay again just so I could get my car! I did Get a refund but they actually charged me a cancellation fee!! Which brings me too Alaska Auto transport, OMG what a difference!! First of all unlike the other guys, you dont have to go to the port of Tacoma, you drop or pick up your car in Kent, literally right down the hill from Sea-Tac, what a huge, difference. You deal directly with the office and employees of Ak Auto Transport who do this full time, not Matson not Tote who are large shipping companies and your a small fish. In Anchorage their office is on Gambell, and you drop off and pickup there. It went flawless on both ends, to be able to drop your car off and take a quick taxi to the airport instead of being all the way in the port is so nice. I will never not use them again if the need arises and neither should you. read more

shipped my truck from alaska to arizona for $3750.00. Then, they Tried to upcharge me $600 additional to release my vehicle, when i received my vehicle, it was damaged cosmetically and mechanically. Company refuses any wrong doing. Now my truck needs significant repairs after shipping read more

I shipped a Toyota Tundra from Seattle to Anchorage with Alaska Auto Transport. Fantastic experience all around. Super easy drop off in Seattle and pick up in Anchorage. Staff was great to work with. I shopped around a lot, and AK Auto Transport was $1,000 or more less expensive than any other option I could find. read more

This experience was wonderful, a strange word for auto transport. Everything went perfect. Drop off was helpful as I was on my way to the airport out of Anchorage. It took only about 20 minutes and I was on my way. The barge trip was as long a they said. My car arrived on time and was in perfect condition. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I shipped another car a few years ago out of Anchorage with another shipper whose name starts with a W. It was terrible so I know how bad it could be. I read complaints about it taking a long time with this company. The weekly deadline is maybe Monday for the vehicle to be taken to the port. I took my car on a Tuesday as that was when my flight was. Therefore, they actually kept my vehicle for about a week until the next barge left which added an extra week and took about 19 days total, which seems like a lot, but AAT was really doing me a favor by accepting my vehicle on the day of my flight. I knew all this ahead of time, and made adjustments so it worked for me. read more

I recently shipped a 36.5 foot boat, full sized pickup, and a car from Anchorage to the Port of Tacoma. Working with Juan at Autostar (Alaska Auto Transport) was a pleasant experience. Juan was all over this project, providing accurate pricing and great customer service. Everything went smoothly and as advertised. Great service and friendly people. read more

When particular car dealerships here in Anchorage feel as though they can corner the market and you have no other option, you do! Buy a car out of state and ship with these fine folks. As a repeat customer, I can firmly say I will be back for any other car shipping needs. This is a solid business and they make you feel at ease throughout the entire process. Easy to get a hold of, and professional through and through. Thank you guys for safely, and in a timely manner, getting my truck up to Alaska. read more

I just dropped off my Jeep at the Anchorage location to be shipped to their Kent, WA location and it couldn't have been easier. Tom, Olga, the rest of the staff and their beautiful dog were welcoming and truly genuine. This is a local company at both locations - most companies are brokered out of state. They take the stress out of this component out of my move. I made some new friends today! I'm in no hurry to pick up my vehicle but when it arrives I'm certain it will be just as wonderful. Thank you for taking care of me today. I have a lot on my mind and your kindness and compassion are genuine. Every business should strive to be as personable. read more

Fabulous and personalized service! Seamless transport from beginning to end from Anchorage to Seattle. Can't say enough good things about this company. Thank you! read more

I have used Alaska Auto transport twice now - first to ship my car from Seattle to Anchorage and then a year later to ship it back to Seattle from Anchorage. They are a great company to deal with. Very professional, great customer service and they will make sure your car gets to the location you shipped it to safe and without any damage. The best part - they have great prices too. Not overpriced at all. Shipping from Anchorage to the lower 48 is tricky so if you tell them by when you need your car, they will work with you to make sure it gets there like you want it. Would recommend Alaska Auto Transport to anyone - great family owned company. read more

Great car shipping service for out of state people looking to move to Alaska. Shipping cost is a bit on the high side but great services all around, no complaints. My car arrives in almost same condition of which it was shipped from California. read more

I can't say enough about my experience with Alaska Auto Transport. I drove my car to Kent Washington for the shipment of my Toyota Tacoma to Fairbanks Alaska. I met Ty who has excellent communicative skills. He eased my nerves as the truck had a 2000 mile journey ahead. I spoke with Brittany at the Anchorage site. She is extremely knowledgeable and was very much able to help me through this process. I also had an opportunity to talk to Kathy, the owner, again very knowledgeable and understanding of people transporting their vehicles. It was a seamless journey and in fact the truck made it ahead of schedule. Please note you have many transport companies. I was given many quotes that were only to Anchorage in writing but I was looking for Fairbanks. Brittany was instrumental in giving me a true quote. Also please note that their is Alaska Car Transport .This review is for Alaska Auto Transport only.Thank you so much for your excellent service!! read more

A great company to work with and a nice alternative to overpaying for a vehicle in Alaska (even with transportation costs, I saved $500 buying out-of-state, because the Alaska car market is insane). I appreciated that Alaska Auto Transport did a scrupulous inspection upon receiving the vehicle, which helped catch damages caused by another auto transport company. The staff is friendly and helpful, and always answered the phone. They were accurate about arrival estimates and got my vehicle from Kent, WA, to Fairbanks, AK, within the promised window. I just wish they offered additional payment methods to help customers save on credit card fees (i.e., Zelle or direct debit) - I ended up doing a wire transfer to save on the $100 Clover fee. Closed container shipment would also be nice and something I would have paid extra for considering Alaska DOT distributes sand/rock on winter roads. Would recommend AAT and use them again in the future. read more

I have moved away and come back home to Anchorage several times and have used other car shipping companies. I have to say - this one is the BEST! Best pricing and customer service and are conviently located in midtown off of Tudor. Plus they have a sweet office dog named tyson - and I think it is family run. read more

Thank you, Alaska Auto Transport! I shipped my vehicle from Anchorage to Seattle with them. The vehicle arrived early and the price was less than it would have been to drive from Anchorage to Seattle. Plus, I was able to load personal items into my vehicle. I picked up my vehicle the morning I flew into Seattle to start my 2 day drive to Las Vegas. Once again, thank you, Alaska Auto Transport! read more

I had a good experience with Alaska Auto Transport last month. I dropped my new compact at their Kent office on November 13 and picked it up in Anchorage on November 26. It traveled inside a container on a barge with nary a scratch and less than a mile on the odometer. For $1,265, this was a much better choice for me than days of driving it through the Yukon in November. I would gladly use them again. Only minor gripe is the shoddy building they use in Anchorage, but that doesn't matter much when the service is this good. read more

The best experience in the auto transport industry. I was most apprehensive when moving to the lower 48 about shipping my car, these guys made it the easiest part of my whole ordeal. Cost 1.3k to get my car to seattle, no deposit required, the best rate I could find. They were efficient, transparent and direct. They set clear expectations and followed thru. The car was there when they said it would be. In the anchorage office as well as the kent office, everyone was friendly, helpful and easy to interact with. I highly recommend them read more

Amazing service from start to finish. Kathy helped me check in in Anchorage and teleported to Kent to help me check out. Car arrived super quickly and in perfect condition. Highly recommended. read more

We sent our son's vehicle to Seattle. I got several other quotes and AAT was the best value, especially considering the ability to load some of his personal belongings in the vehicle for the trip down from Anchorage. The vehicle arrived earlier than expected and in pristine condition. Additionally, Kathy and her staff were excellent to work with and helpful throughout the experience. When it comes to moving vehicles, Alaska Auto Transport has my business forever. read more

I had an absolute nightmare because I went through a broker that contracted these guys unknowingly. Broker was disrespectful and threatening me that I'll never see my car again and thankfully Alaska Auto Transport helped me get my car back. Do your research and never use a broker while shipping a car. It's very deceitful and will leave you with headaches. The owner Kathy was very respectable and understood my situation. Thankyou for not letting some internet troll hold my car hostage through your company. I'll recommend this company to everyone. read more

CHOOSE THEM!!!!! I needed my vehicle (2009 Escalade) shipped from Washington to Anchorage. I called so many places to get quotes. Alaska Auto Transport gave me the best quote. They answered all my questions. They were friendly at both offices. I got my vehicle in the condition I left it. ****make sure it's Alaska Auto Transport that you book it with because I was given Alaska Auto Transport number and got a quote. When I got the email, it said Ship A Car. read more

I had looked up and read a lot of "horror stories" from a lot of different transport companies ranging from, vehicles not showing up for weeks, vehicles being damaged, items being stolen or lost during shipping, and, crazy expenses and fees. As a first time shipper this made me nervous. Alaska auto transport got my vehicle and personal items within, from Anchorage, Ak to Kent, Wa at the SHORT end of their delivery time, earlier than I expected to be honest and in perfect condition to boot. The Anchorage side is family owned and operated, and their employees both there and in Kent seem like they feel like part of the family as well. Everyone was extremely helpful and addressed all of my concerns. In the event that I ship another vehicle to or from Alaska, I won't look to anyone else except Alaska Auto Transport. read more

Wow! I had my car shipped with this group and it was by far the most mellow, easy process - super chill, and very cost effective. I dropped my car in Seattle, and as promised, it showed up in Anchorage 12 days later. There were no issues, and the entire process was really easy. I would highly recommend this family-owned, service oriented company. :) read more

We shipped two vehicles from Anchorage to Seattle. Both arrived earlier than predicted in perfect shape. Customer service is stellar and pricing is very competitive. We were able to pack personal belongings in the vehicles saving us hundreds of dollars. They also transported our vehicles to and from both ports making it extremely convenient. The fixed taxi charge from SeaTac to their Kent warehouse and the gas station literally 1 block away was wonderful. We are extremely satisfied with their service. We will always recommend Alaska Auto Transport as the absolute only choice for shipping vehicles. read more

We had an excellent experience with transporting our cars from Anchorage, AK. The staff in both Anchorage and Kent, WA (where we picked up the cars) were efficient and very courteous. I would highly recommend this company. read more

We relocated from Anchorage, Alaska this summer and had the opportunity to ship my wife's car with another company. My car we shipped with Alaska Auto Transport. The two experiences could not be more different. Estimated arrival dates, the process of dropping off the vehicle, and overall customer service was non-existent with the "other" company. Alaska Auto Transport was thorough, courteous and extremely helpful during the entire experience. The Anchorage office was fantastic, explained the entire process to us over the phone prior to drop off. When dropping off, we were helped immediately and given full attention until our transaction was complete. We were also given full disclosure on the estimated shipping dates, both of departure and arrival in Renton. We actually were notified that my vehicle was shipped earlier than scheduled, and was available in less than a week. Because the original estimate was later, they offered to store my vehicle at no charge if that was necessary. This morning when I picked up my vehicle Mark was just as courteous and attentive to my needs as the Anchorage staff. I would strongly recommend these folks to anyone that is shipping a vehicle to/from Alaska. Mike read more

Employees are great people, Mark and Anthony in Kent are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This place cares about its customers.

Alaska Auto picked up my new car in Seattle (for a minimal fee, others wanted $300+) and had my car in Alaska within 5 days. Kathy was compassionate that I had recently been t-boned and overwhelmed about purchasing a new vehicle, but made it so easy. Exceptional customer service, I will use Alaska Auto every time. read more

Alaska Auto Transport moved 2 vehicles for me, from the Midwest to Anchorage, Alaska. Both vehicles arrived on time (early, actually), and the people I spoke with on the phone were there at the other end with my cars. The cars got extremely dirty on the trip, but once I got them cleaned up, they were just fine. There are some fly-by-night companies in the auto transport business that you need to be careful of, but AAT is not one of those. They got the job done for a reasonable price. read more

Awesome service all around. Picked my car up literally at my doorstep in SoCal and got it to Anchorage (5 min away from my final destination) at the date I was given with the quote I was told. This company its AMAZING! We just relocated from Arizona to Anchorage and we were a bit stress thinking on how we were going to transport the cars all the way to Anchorage. At first i spoke to someone in the Seattle office and he was really pleasant and extremely helpful. After talking with them we decided to drive all the way to Seattle and just drop the car on that location, to make along story short! THE SERVICE WAS GREAT! TWO THUMBS UP! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY AUTO TRANSPORT NEEDS! we are going to use them again in the future to have them transport the rest of my vehicules. read more

I think service is a hit or miss with this company. They get the job done, but not without hitting a few bumps in the figurative road. My car was to be picked up at my family member's home, and my relative took off early from work for the pick-up. The driver never showed, and was very rude to her on the phone when she contacted him. So, she called the company, and they said he got stuck somewhere. That's perfectly fine, but we weren't all that sure why the driver wouldn't have given her a call to say so or told her such on the phone when she called him. Fast forward a few weeks later, and my car finally made it to Anchorage. Its ending destination is Fairbanks. My car arrived on a Thursday, and when I called I was told they probably couldn't get it to me that weekend because of the holiday, but it would probably be there Monday. Come Monday, I gave them a call, and I was told it would be here "sometime this week". My car sat in Anchorage for a week. Presently, I'm waiting for the call that it's available for pick-up. It's now an hour past the ETA I was given, and I need to go to work soon. I personally feel that the drivers should be held a little more accountable for communicating with clients in a friendly, direct manner, and to take into consideration that we all have individual schedules we adhere to. I am a very patient person, and I understand that timing is not perfect, we all have delays, etc. However, I took a couple stars off of this review because the seeming lack of communication between parties in this company was personally frustrating, and I wasn't fond of the non-committal time frames I was given. Also, I told them from the time I scheduled the shipment that my car was coming to Fairbanks. When it got closer to Anchorage, I was informed by an employee that they had written it in as going to Anchorage, and would need to raise the amount I paid for shipment. It gave the impression that they are slightly disorganized, and the other factors I've described contributed to this impression. Overall, if they were to provide the best quote again in the future, I'd use them again. I would appreciate if they tried to be a little more organized in the future, but this company isn't bad for shipping vehicles. read more

I recently bought a Jeep all the way in Phoenix Arizona because I received an excellent deal and the seller's son had already used Alaska Auto Transport to ship his vehicle over seas so I decided what the neck, let me give them a shot. I set up the arrangement over the phone and it was quite simple, they asked for the pick up and the delivery locations, as well as contact info and of course payment. They did not charge a deposit, until my vehicle was picked up and once that happened I paid $900 deposit, which is fair considering my total price. All in all the shipment was great! And I want to give a huge thanks you to Alvaro for setting this all up for us.Thanks you once more. I will be recommending you to my family! read more
