Was locked out of my apartment because the PDQ touch pad actuator stopped working and I was keyless. A much older gent came by within about 20 minutes. We couldn't use the one tool he brought because it kept sliding off the door handle so we had to resort to swapping out the core. Very professional, knowledgeable, and gentle man. Price was fair, 150 to start then because we needed to replace core it went up to 225. Will hire again (though I hope we never have to!) read more

Run, do not walk, to Alan's Lexus/Northboro was kind enough to tell me to bring my issue to Alan's Called at 10.. was told to get in ASAP before they hit their afternoon road calls. When I got there they had a quality non-OEM key case ready for me. They said it was actually a harder case than OEM and I agree - it seems sturdier. It is super helpful in my case that although my master remote key snapped in the ignition, I could still get the blade out and I still have the electronics in hand for them to program a second duplicate master key for me. I was in and out of there in a half an hour including the time it took for a fellow to come out to my car with a manual and program the second duplicate master key. Could not be happier and I highly recommend this locksmith. $135. They could not help me with my son's flip key for a Kia but I'm going to order two of them off the Internet and bring them down to Alan's to have them do the switchover if blade and electronics. Ok, this is as good as it gets... friendly, great service, good quality at a fair price! Used them to cut an ignition key for a car that has the electronic security chip - saved a bundle by going to these folks. Dealerhip cost would have been crazy expensive. Nice job! I went to this place to have a key cut for my son, and the one guy that was there, said "Be right with you" and he never got up from his seat, he literally sat there while reading a paper. I said "excuse me sir" after waiting about 7 minutes, and he didn't even respond back to me, he just sat there! When I left, my son and I headed back up Chandler, and there I could see him through the window just still reading his paper. Before I was away from the shop another customer walked in, and he was up serving them. I will NEVER go here for keys again. read more

I called Alan's, my neighbor locked my keys in the car while it was running. My mother and I are disabled, my neighbor is always kind enough to help out w whatever we need. He was brushing the snow off the car and started it to deice etc. I feel horrible that he was trying to help then insists on paying for it. ( I will get him a gift card ) I called several other places before I called Alan's. They all had a services fee then they would have to access the situation when they got here. REALLY-NO THANKS. This place is amazing, they did what I was told is not possible, making a key blade only to fit the door of my car incase the keys get locked in the car. Even 2 different Fiat studios told me the only key template for my car was the intelligent key with the alarm remote. I went to Alan's on the recommendation of one the mechanics at the second Fiat studio I went to. I explained what I was looking for, after looking up the key blank and finishing out one didn't exist, they found a key for a VW that has the same basic size as my Fiat key, they used a micrometer to measure all the dimensions of my key. The key was shortened, the milled to be thinner and finally cut with the sidewinder pattern. They also checked to make sure it would work the way I needed it to before charging me. All of that work to find the right starting blank, create the correct blank, cut the key and test it....all that work including the cost of the original blank, $25. This place is the best locksmith I have ever been to, if they don't have it and can't get it, they will find a way to make it for you. read more

Tony from Alan's Locksmith Co did a great job. We were in a pinch on a weekend. The lock completely broke on a weekend when my clients and I were both out of town and there were showings scheduled. I was quoted for $75 to make a spare key. When they arrived, they were punctual to the promised service time and the services rendered was impeccable. The gentleman who came, which is most likely the same one I spoke on the phone with, was extremely cordial and professional. These guys are PROS. They have every key you need and their service is both reasonable and equal if not cheaper than any place I have been. I had previously used them for keys and never had need for another service until we lost the expensive smart key for our push button start car. Toyota wanted -- wait for it -- $680 for the fob, cut key, and programming. I found the replacement online for at ikeyless $200 and Alan's cut the key and programmed it in 20 minutes for $75, each more than half less than I would have paid.
