Carol had another job coming up, so we agreed she would do all the prep work for my mom's estate, but could not hold the actual sale until she completed the other job. She worked over three weeks on the prep--put in so much effort and detail into preparing for the sale, researching, dialoguing with me about specific items, and bringing in a team to make sure the townhome was clean and inviting. Even though the prep work on her other job would start the following week, she managed to hold the sale for my mom's estate the weekend before. She didn't want me to have to wait. I know she was exhausted. Carol organized my mom's things beautifully, labelled many of them, took amazing photos, and promoted the sale online and in the local paper. Plus she brought in some of her previous customers. The results were amazing--almost three times what I had expected, and the percentage she took for the huge amount of work she did, was more than fair. The owner wrote out a receipt which only listed my last name and a description of the work done. The receipt did not list the company name (info), my address, or my full name. I changed insurance and the insurance company wanted a copy of the receipt so that I could get a new roof discount, but they wanted a more detailed and professionally filled out receipt. I contacted the owner who said that he would reaccomplish the receipt and to remind him on the following day. On the next day I texted the owner as requested and I received no response. Several days went by and I texted him several times but no response. Due to this problem with the receipt I am unable to receive a new roof discount. I do not recommend the use of this roofing company. If you choose to contract with them I would be certain that the receipt contains all of the required information before making payment.

My experience with Soto Roofing was one of the best I've ever had with a home repair. My roof was…read morereplaced by the previous owner in 2021, however, they didn't get a WPI-9 to qualify for TWIA coverage and when I had the roof inspected they had cut corners that did not meet the requirements. I was afraid that nothing short of a total roof replacement would be adequate, but the inspector referred me to Soto Roofing. The owner Carlos Soto came out the same day to give me a quote. Carlos meticulously inspected the roof and gave me a detailed explanation of the things the previous roofer had done to cut corners and why these things did not meet the TWIA standards. Despite the extensive work that needed to be done, Carlos gave me a very reasonable quote and had a crew at my house the next morning to start the 2-day job. Carlos remained in contact throughout to update me on progress and came out to inspect the work and did a few more minor things personally before approving the job as done. The amount of time, effort and personal attention I received from Carlos and his crew far exceeded my expectations, especially for the fee he charged. If you live in Brazoria or any other coastal county and believe that you can't get a roof repair approved for WPi-9 post construction, I encourage you to call Soto Roofing before you throw in the towel on getting your home protected.

The apartments themselves are fine- aside from multiple issues with the toilet and when I moved in the sliding glass door did not have a bar for it to be locked so I went a day or two without a locked back door.
