I needed a ride home from the 19th St. BART station, which is only about a mile from my house. I would normally walk, but it was late and my feet were killing me. I called them from the West Oakland stop and asked for a pick up, but the guy told me to just flag a cab down when I got there. When I explained that I was calling so that I would have a ride when I arrived in a few minutes, he told me to get off at the 12th St. stop instead and flag a cab down there because there are a lot of them waiting there. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I just responded, "Um, okay," and hung up. Now, of course, if I had gotten off a stop before, it's also going to cost me more to get home. How convenient for them. At that point, I was so stunned and so pissed that I decided to just get off at 19th St. anyway and make the walk. My dogs are barkin', but I'd rather that than give them my money after that interaction! Way to do business, Bayporter!

She took down my info, gave me a fare, and an ETA for the driver. She gave me an ETA of 20-30 mins, which wasn't accurate because the driver still had a fare onboard. It turned out to be more like 45-60 mins before the driver arrived. So allow extra time for the driver to pick you up. The driver did call me when he was enroute. He arrived in a super clean Prius, and apologized for being late. He used a direct route to where I was going, and there wasn't much delays. I would use this cab service again.

Called in and was picked up in the 5 mins that they said they would. It was a black taxi, which looked more like a police car to me. But the driver was really sweet. He took me to my location in less than 10 minutes without breaking any laws or traffic violations, which is a plus for safe driving. The inside was clean and well kept. He did minimal small talk which I appreciated since he wasn't trying to pry into my life and learn my life story before the ride was over. Exceptional service, I will be calling them for my taxi needs if ever needed again! But if you're stranded at Lake Merritt Bart Station, they are the best people to call for your transporting needs!
