I was on my way back to Huntsville and looked for coffee shops along the way. There was a Starbucks and Alabaster. Naturally I'm going to select the local business and I'm so glad I did. It wasn't busy at all so I got to chit chat with the friendly barista. She helped talk me through a few drink options and I decided on a brown sugar latte. The drink was so good I had almost finished it off while waiting for my blueberry scone. Not that they took long, I just kept sipping! The scone came out hot and covered with icing. Highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth. It was a little too soft and ended up being very messy (grab a fork if you order one). The coffee shop itself had good vibes with a modern/minimalistic approach. Lots of seating if you have a big group or just need a place to work or read. Very modern interior with a cute play corner for those with kids. Excellent for those looking to chill out or work for a few hours. Service is so friendly and I never felt rushed. Kind of a classic hipster coffee place vibe. Coffee, tea, and chai available on the menu with non-dairy options for a small charge. I had a seasonal item, the vanilla chai, which was perfectly creamy and not too sweet with a touch of cinnamon and mulled spice. The grilled chicken Casear wrap was amazing - crisp lettuce and the perfect amount of dressing to keep the meat moist without a soggy tortilla. Great Coffee Shop and wonderful little find in Scottsboro. My daughter and I stopped here and enjoyed a little iced coffee on a hot day. Beautifully decorated and very sweet workers. Came here for a little something sweet / extra for the drive home after a disappointing lunch nearby. Much more positive experience here! This coffeeshop is a little hard to notice being set back in a shopping center a good ways off the road, but the area looks like it's undergoing some new construction. The shop itself is very clean and modern inside, so perhaps it's a sign of things to come soon! Bright, well-lit, and airy, the permanent coffee menu is simple but has all the drinks you'd expect to find at a nice shop. They also have a seasonal drink menu and a moderately-sized list of flavor add-ins for your beverage. A small but thoughtful lunch and pastry menu is also available. It was quiet inside and a couple people had their laptops; great place to get some work done. I also saw a small bin with some toys, so alternately, maybe a nice place to come on a mom date with little ones. Very thoughtful. :) The music was worship music which isn't really my vibe but it was mostly unobtrusive and played at a volume such that you could focus on work or conversation if needed. The barista was soft spoken but helpful and encouraged me to try the brown sugar cinnamon flavor add-in. So that's what I wound up with: iced coffee with BSC and a piece of their banana bread as a treat. I intended to get my stuff to go but I forgot to ask and so my bread was brought out to me on a plate. I wasn't in a huge hurry though, so I hung out and enjoyed it there. It was very nicely warmed (maybe toasted instead of microwaved - nice) and had crispy edges and a moist center. Personally, I prefer a little extra oomph to my banana bread (be it chocolate chips or nuts or both), but this was still yummy. Next time, I'm hoping they won't be out of the chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Sounds delish. My coffee was very smooth and creamy and medium-sweet. I could really taste the brown sugar/cinnamon flavor though, which was lovely. A distinct kind of sweetness rather than just generic sweet. Overall, I'd be happy to return for a pick-me-up next time I find myself in the area. Thanks! read more

It may have been an off day for the woman who ran the business that day but her attitude was tackless. No suggestions or helpful responses, only wanted to place the order. We were the only ones in line and there was one other already seated. The pastry was ok and the coffee passed. I can be minimalistic at times but there was no warmth in the place. I needed an afternoon pick me up and we found this place while passing through. They do a happy hour for coffees, which was a happy surprise. However, we were really wanting a sandwich and they stop serving at 2pm. I hope they change that in the future. read more

Excellent coffee! Coming from Washington, we have been spoiled with a variety of tasty independent coffee shops who really knew coffee. Alabaster Coffee makes excellent coffees and the beans they use are great; we both got an iced vanilla latte and the shots were extracted great and the drinks were just the right amount of sweetness. The aesthetics of the café are pleasant and neutral. I could imagine working on a laptop here or reading a book and enjoying a nice coffee. It's overall just a really pleasant coffee shop; staff was kind, café was simple, elegant and clean, and the coffee was excellent. If you like a good coffee, please make sure to stop by this place next time you're in Scottsboro and I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

[Visited: July 5th, 2023] Oooof! This place was like walking into a mommy influencer's Pinterest board IRL. In the best way. It is SO CUTE. They knew what they were doing designing this place. They even had children's books in the back of the shop. There were two men working and they were precisely measuring syrups for drinks with a scale. Never seen that done! You can tell they really care about quality/consistency. The men were very friendly and polite. If I remember right, I got a Samoa cookie latte special they had and it was really good!
