Every few months they had to come back for a year. Sadly, you have to renew for $1,500. Because I kept having problems, they said I had to pay the $1,500 for them to keep coming out to fix the issue. What's worse? They admitted they didn't do a great job initially. Sadly, they don't stand behind their warranty and will keep extorting money from you. I have had two locations on my home that would leak during storms, one was a gable wall and the other a small windowsill in a valley on my roof, I have struggled for years to get someone to find the cause and to no avail. So, after our last snowstorm when the snow started melting, I got leaking again in the roof valley when the snow started to melt, frustrated I called Madewell masonry I explained the problem and Dave came out to assess, he found the grout on the small windowsill was negligible which allowed the melting water to drip inside my home. Thanks to Madewell the team fixed My leak as well as my gable wall crack and sealed the bricks. They are very professional, courteous and meticululous, they cleaned up everything. I can't say it was one of the 2 employees that took it, only that it was on my bedside table all day (it was removed after getting hopelessly tangled in my gown & almost ripping thru the hole in my ear) & was not after they left. One of them also made disrespectful remarks to me, "I'm having impure thoughts about you" & that he couldn't leave until he got my phone #. I was trying to keep the other employee from leaving me alone w/this guy while also on the phone w/the owner concerning the white specks from scraped paint that had been tracked thruout the house, for which the owner blamed ME. This is when the employee went walking back down the hall to my bedroom, as I was on the phone telling the owner about the rude comments made to me . I did appreciate the owner's offer to return the next day to vacuum up all of the white stuff tracked thru my house by the workers,. But trying to blame it on me for my not having a vacuum cleaner is ridiculous as it was their responsibility & my housekeeper had just been there, either that day or the day before & prefers to use her own. The owner told me he'd be there, but instead sent one of the employees to clean up, which was fine. There was also a pane broken, but I didn't notice it for a few days & didn't want to deal w/them anymore, so I let it go. Saying that my house was dirty is a joke, because my housekeeper is a dream as a person & the best I've ever known for cleaning. As far as the earring, I've just accepted that it's gone after 35 years. It is what it is, but I'm most certainly not accusing someone of a crime. However the owner has now called my friend who hired him & threatened to sue me if I don't remove my review. I'm not accusing anyone of a crime, but I know what was said to me, which I immediately reported to the owner & if he wants to sue me for telling the truth about his worker, then so be it. I suggest we both submit for lie detector testing. Not admissible in court but hard to cheat. So, during a 1 month period of workers being in & outside my house, including a HVAC man & his employees, my plumber, a handyman, 2 painters (interior & exterior), a carpenter, a yard crew w/7-8 family members & friends, my lighting installer left here by himself, an inspector, the buyer's HVAC man, I had NO issues w/any of them except this one employee, so what are the odds I just decided to make up this stuff against 1 person out of almost 20? I had no issue w/the owner, altho I thought it unprofessional of him to be yelling at the employee he sent the next day to vacuum the tracked material just for doing his job. I didn't tell the worker where to vacuum or what to do, but I felt sorry for him, as he was upset about it. I think his name was James & I'd be very surprised if James would lie & make up things about me that were untrue just to please his employer, but then if you read what the owner said about me. Accusing me of racism for "making fun" of his accent? I love accents no matter where they originate--England, Ireland, Spain, Middle Eastern, Chinese, & I can assure you that if anything, I was merely being playful, as I dated a guy from the Channel Islands for 5 years, had a great friendship w/2 Irishmen until we lost contact over the years. I'm a very outgoing, talkative person who likes to put people at ease & brighten their day, so if that's "acting strange", then I'm strange. Instead of apologizing to me for his employee, he told me this had never happened before. Well, that's all fine & good, but both things DID occur, period. Attacking me on Yelp & calling my friend who hired you to threaten me is just too much. Full Warning: If he doesn't like your review, he'll call you a liar, make up awful things about you (such as you smoke marijuana/I detest drugs & only smoke legal cigarettes!), that you are a racist (I donate monthly to the ACLU & the Southern Poverty Law Center/My mother marched w/Martin Luther King during the garbage strikes, so racism doesn't fly either. I don't do any drugs ever & haven't even had a drink in 16 years, not bcuz of any problem, I just don't like alcohol, the taste or what it does to people.
