I had a beyond wonderful experience with Abbey Road. I needed my fireplace cleaned and inspected. They were able to complete a thorough cleaning in half an hour (2 guys were here) for $150. They inspected our chimney cap on the roof and were able to provide additional quotes for future services. They really took their time to explain the fireplace functions to me and showed me how to best turn it on/off since this is my first time actually having a fireplace in my home. Doug - The Proprietor - seemed nice enough then SURPRISED me with a $100 FEE for an estimate. Estimate took about 15 minutes(not a bad gig, eh?). No mention of fee from staff when we called for appointment, no mention of fee on website, no mention of fee upon arrival by Doug. Couldn't quite wrap my head around that. Of course he'll apply your $100 to any work done. Have your checkbook handy folks. read more

Came to check gas fireplace.. turned it on, vacuumed , said no leaks it's fine.. 10 min... $200.. done

Recently my fireplace developed leaks inside the firebox. I contacted another organization and received a detail quote. I thought the price was a little high. I contacted Abbey Road and requested a quote from them. The items in the two quotes were virtually the same, but the price from Abbey Road was considerably less expensive. I contracted the work from Abbey Road. They showed up on schedule, did a great job, respectful, thorough, and left the areas they worked in cleaner than when they arrived. A few days later, after the next rain, water in the firebox. I contacted Doug and he came and looked. He said there could be a number of reasons, but thought the top of the structure might need to be replaced? The next day he called and said he would like to try one more thing before he pointed us to another group. His crew showed up and did some additional work, at no cost to us. After several rains, over 6", firebox is dry. They care about the customers and do the right thing to fix the problems at a reasonable cost. Great company to work with. read more

I highly recommend Abbey Road Chimney Sweep. I had another company come out and they said I had to completely replace my fireplace and parts of the chimney before I could use it. I got Abbey Road to come out, and he cleaned it and checked it out and got it all ready to use, without needing to replace it. He's honest, and reasonably priced. I will definitely call them the next time I need to have my fireplace serviced. read more
