Kibbeh - Bite-size footballs that need to make a touchdown in my mouth... SCORE!!…read more I went to Heathrow Airport early to beat the rush and had some time to sit down and have a proper meal. After a couple of days of toasties, chips and meat pies.... I was desperate for something ethnic. Luckily, at the end of the terminal right next to my gate was this Lebanese haven! Although this place is a chain, I would for sure tap it again if I had the chance! I enjoyed the interesting juice selection, I was able to order a mixed meze platter and the food quality was great! They were even so nice to substitute my falafel pieces with kibbeh. Never had kibbeh before?! SHAME! Basically ground meat and pine nuts surrounded by bulgar wheat, made into a cute little edible american football and fried to a nice brown crispyness waiting to by crunched by the weight of your Lebanese food hungry mouth! After having the pleasure of stuffing a combi-dash of hummus, tabbouleh, baba-g, kibbeh and leb-bread down my halal throat, how can I go back to overpriced airport terminal fish and chips?!?!?

This is a lovely T4 grub spot…read more We were tempted in by the bright colours and fun designs on the walls, the busy bustling tables and the delicious smells wafting out of the restaurant. We decided to celebrate the start our trip with a pomegranate molasses prosecco which was tasty and surprisingly not as sweet as the ingredients would make you imagine. The menu had a lot to choose from and we were tempted by lots of the dishes we saw being carried past to different tables. My friend has a peanut allergy and asked the waitress to confirm if her choice was peanut free. We were both very impressed that she whipped out an iPad with an easy to use tool which allows you to select your allergy/ food intolerance and then if shows you what dishes are free from that ingredient. A fab way of avoiding risk! We indulgent in very filling lamb kofta wraps, halloumi flatbreads and hummus. It was all very tasty and reasonably priced - the mains were just under £10 and our prosecco cocktails £7. Whilst it's very chain style restaurant and I'd be tempted to try a more authentic, family owned Lebanese restaurant next time, this was a really nice, quick airport option.
