Cotoletta alla milanese fritta in burro chiarificato, delicious
Andrea O.

Very cute trattoria in the heart of the navigli district in Milan, with a nice patio area overlooking the navigli. W got two classic Milano dishes, risotto alla Milanese con ossobuco and cotoletta alla Milanese fritta in burro chiarificato. Both dishes were delicious, even though not the best I've ever tried. The ossobuco was very tender, melt off the bone kind of tender, the bone was full of delicious bone marrow. Very good. The risotto was not as creamy as I'm used to, but very good nonetheless. Cotoletta was very good too. Service was attentive.

Ossobuco and lasagna

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance! The signature dish traditional Ossobuco con risotto Milanese is fantastic, so delicious! And the lasagna with mushrooms and veal was great, as well as the escargot and fried artichokes starters. And a great local wine selection. Highly recommend!

Hand peel tomato pasta ... the pasta is way too soft. Sauce is okay, but still not recommended.

So this restaurant has very high reviews on trip advisor. However, I think the reviews are way overrated. Few things sums up my star reasons: 1. The services are quite nice, attentive waiters ! 2. The wine list is quite complete, and the price is about 2 times higher than the supermarket price, which is not bad for a restaurant. 3. The appetizer - sautéed octopus was delicious and very rememberable. 4. The appetizer- Meatball. Very disappointed and tasteless. 5. Pasta was way too soft, I think you should not messed up a simple signature pasta dish in Milan.. as a restaurant. 6. This Place is very touristy. 7. Even tho, this place has a high review on trip advisor, but I believe you can easily find a better restaurant in this area.

Tagliatelle pasta with ragout of White rabbit. One of the best pasta we ever had.

Really good Milanese traditional food in the hustling and bustling Naviglio Grande district. The rabbit tagliatelle and osso-bucco with milanese risotto were really special. The waiters are really friendly, explaining to us their specialty. We jus asked them to give us special experience that only they can give. Not disappointed. They even recommended beautiful bottle of Bolgheri wine that paired really well with our dinner. We will definitely be back next time we are in Milan.

My husband, me, and three friends stumbled in soaked from a July downpour. All of us were hungry…read moreand dripping. The owner greeted us warmly at the door and had our whole party seated right away. I had read reviews about the pizza and thought it the perfect place to escape the rain, wait out the storm, and stuff our bellies until the rain stopped and we could call an UBER. There were just a few tables occupied, which made it feel like we'd found something of a hideaway. We started with a cheese plate and wine, then shared a cheese and pepperoni pizza. Everything came out fast and everything was delicious. The cheese plate especially was worth ordering. What made the night, though, was the owner. His family is originally from Egypt, and he brought such genuine warmth and joy to taking care of us. That kind of hospitality can't be faked. When we left and were walking down the block, he called after us holding one of my friend's phone charger that was left behind on the table. We were super appreciative. :) If you find yourself in Milan -- rained on or not -- go. Great pizza, great wine, excellent service, and a host who clearly loves what he does.

We came here on the evening of July 15 as part of a large group. It was very hot in Italy and the…read morerestaurant did not seem to have great ventilation or AC (as is the case in many European cities). We were seated in the large party room in the back. The first dish, a linguine with pesto, was delicious. The next dish, breaded chicken with fries, was utterly disappointing. The chicken was hard and flavorless. Several guests had insects or spiders in their food. Desert was ice cream that came in a cup. Maybe the restaurant is better for pizza or for smaller parties. It just did not work for our large group.
