Nice theater, clean. There is a bar area in the back with a lot of seating. Small popcorn $3 on Tuesday's.

Aksarben Cinema offers a fantastic movie-going experience with clean facilities, comfortable seating, and excellent picture and sound quality that makes the film truly immersive. The staff are friendly, and the concessions stand provides a good variety of snacks, including fresh popcorn. Despite some seats not being recline-able as well as us not being able to get a free refill on our large popcorn (the concession stand closed before our movie ended), the overall experience was enjoyable, making this theater a great choice for a night out--I'll definitely be back!

If you are a cinephile and want to enjoy movies, new or old, with others who love movies, the Alamo…read moreis the place for you. My family and I love going to the movies, and we have opted for the season pass at times because of how often we come here. The ambiance is very comfortable, lush, and reminds me of old school movie theaters. Each set of seats has a table (and a purse hook, which I love) to give you a true dining experience while watching your favorite films. The Alamo consistently does movie series, and will show reruns or specials, one of my favorites being the Max Fleischer series featuring Betty Boop shorts. I love the opportunity to see older movies in theaters, and the Alamo does an amazing job of making the experience all-encompassing. I have been to one of their special brunch showings of White Christmas, for which they had a fun themed menu. It was truly the most fun and festive movie showing, and I would highly recommend getting the Alamo app to see what is showing in the future. Some movies are better on the big screen, and the Alamo consistently delivers. The menu is also great and I have always enjoyed everything I eat from here. I always try a burger and a new mixed drink, but their loaded fries are A+ and I would advise ordering them! The staff is incredibly kind, and very speedy. In the rare instance that my order has been forgotten, they have been very prompt in correcting the mistake. As someone who is tired of attending movies just to hear chatting and snickering, which I have had to deal with at other Omaha theaters, the Alamo has a strict no-phone, no-talk, no arriving late policy, which I personally feel makes the experience even better. They truly value the customer experience, and I will continue to come here time and time again.

Showing tickets at concessions was a little confusing, I was used to the ticket office. We did ScreenPlay for the kids could play 30 minutes before and after Mario 3. Super fun! The movie was great, the seats were comfy, and the kids had the best time at the playground. The ticket prices were reasonable given the extra play. Highly recommend. Though the parking lot it looks like a sketchy, tired old building with almost no investment on the exterior. Walking in feels like you've stepped into a zombie movie lobby faded ticket stands, old school vibes, and no polish whatsoever. Then you walk past all that and boom, it turns into something completely different. Inside is this weird oasis of a theater that looks like they didn't spare any expense once you're past the front door. The staff are friendly, and the vibe feels more like a boutique cinema than what the outside suggests. The thing that sets this place apart for me is their specialty auditoriums. I went to see a movie in their 4D theater one night, and it was a whole different level of experience. The seats move with the action, you get blasted with air and mist during scenes, 3-D glasses enhance the effect, and little vibrators under your feet make explosions feel real. After that, I don't think I'll ever watch a straight action movie anywhere else. That's just one of the unique theaters they have. They've got several themed and kid-friendly auditoriums, including one with a built-in playground for families. It's clear they put real thought into giving different audiences something special. If you're judging this theater by its exterior, you'll miss out. Go inside, try one of the immersive auditoriums, and you'll see why I keep coming back.

I don't go to this theater much honestly mostly because it doesn't have the reclining seats but I…read morewas trying to see a movie that was being shown in theaters that were obviously too small at the CB theater because it was constantly full. So when I saw that the theater here only had about 10 people in it decided to sacrifice comfort for finally getting to see a movie I wanted to see. Theater was clean for the most part, Bobby was a little messy someone that's filled and it was sticky and hadn't been cleaned up. I guess I didn't remember how big the theater is and how far away the theater that I was seeing a movie and was from the entrance. The main reason for my two-star rating has to do with the check-in process. It's ridiculous that you have to check in at the concession stand. So you have to wait in line for people who are buying popcorn drinks and all that fun stuff to be able to scan your tickets. Which the woman was like yeah I'm sorry we don't have a separate checking spot here and I said well it makes it hard to make it to movies on time if you don't know this. Honestly sometimes I run late cuz I know that AMC's have about 20 to 30 minutes of trailers before the movie even starts so thankfully I was a little early but I still miss like 10 minutes of the trailer is because of this line and check-in process. Then additionally the woman tried to insist that I needed the ticket and I was like no I'm fine I've got the app and my tickets right on the app she's like no you need to take this and I was just trying to rush to get to my movie and there was still people behind me who are also trying to get to movies that it was a little embarrassing to have her try and yell after me, like who's going to come after me to see if I have the paper ticket when I actually got the electronic version. Not a theater I will likely attend anytime soon.

I am updating my review of AMC Westroads to be 5 stars now…read more While they don't have as many snacks or treats as the Council Bluffs location, they actually take care of their theaters a little bit better. The IMAX at the Council Bluffs AMC is in bad shape, and they actually just shut it down to refurbish it recently, so I'm confused. There are lines running through the screen there at the CB AMC IMAX so it's very distracting. The AMC Westroads IMAX screen is perfect and very clear, in both visuals and audio. They're great for those little movies that come out (not the big ones we want to see in Dolby, Alamo features, etc.). The lobby and theater are usually pretty clean, and it's not super busy most times we've come, which is not the case at many other theaters. They don't have the comfy recliner seats that a lot of other theaters now have, but I can sit for two hours without needing to lay down for the movie LOL So while this theater is good for smaller movies that don't need to be seen in Dolby, they have now entered the IMAX game too as the superior contender vs. the larger IMAX at AMC Council Bluffs!

I've frequented the surrounding businesses before but finally go the chance to see a movie at the Dundee Theater. I conveniently purchased my tickets online for a movie I had no idea what the plot was about but saw a notation that it would be held in the smallest theater there, 25 seats, called the Linder Microcinema. It was an intimate theater yet I didn't feel neck pain when the movie finished from staring up at a large screen. The screen was the perfect size for the theater. The theater itself was easy to get to with ample parking out back. I didn't realize the theater screens were separated by Lola's but I think it makes it even more unique. Checking in for my ticket was a breeze as well as getting snacks at the concessions. I had such a lovely experience I'm already considering getting a membership for my boyfriend and myself to continue to check out their newly released movies and other movies they're showcasing.

We first experienced Quasar during the COVID pandemic, which was so nice to be able to go see a movie without leaving your car or having to be around people in close proximity during that time. It's a very spacious plot with a single screen, so definitely getting there early can help get a good spot to stake out for the movie. Arriving early also gives you the chance to see the beautiful sunset behind the screen. We saw a double feature of Grease/American Graffiti, which were super fun to see at a drive-in, as it fits with the theme of the movies. A lot of people brought their classic souped up cars, which I think they do a lot of the times, not just for Grease showings. Quasar's shows are a LOT of retrospective films (like Grease, obviously), but they also do show a handful of current films in between those, like Barbie, Antman Quanumania (when those came out) and the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, which would be so fun to see at a drive-in with a big crowd of Swifties. My only little bugaboos were that the concessions are a little hard to find and the lines for concessions are super long. The entrance is also a little hard to find if you're coming from Omaha to Valley. If you love classic movies, the nostalgia of going to the drive-in, or just want to have a night out in the nice outdoors in the sunset, definitely give Quasar a try.
