Consistently delicious Chinese takeout. Clean, fresh, beautifully packed and steaming hot. The Hunan Shrimp had the right amount of heat, but you can always ask for extra hot oil on the side. My dish was full of medium size shrimp and crunchy, perfectly done vegetables. We totally enjoyed our food, as always. read more

After moving to WNY from Long Island, this is one of the two place that has good Chinese food. I live in Corfu now so this one is hands down the best here, but if you're near kenmore, I believe it's Hometaste? That has the BEST dumplings and bean buns. The reviews don't lie! I am skeptical on take out places, but this one is like no other! The meals were all fresh and loaded with protein and not too greasy. The Hunan shrimp had a ton of huge shrimp and the perfect spice. The beef and broccoli was loaded with tender beef and perfectly cooked broccoli. The steamed dumplings did not disappoint. Obviously not real authentic Chinese food but it's something for our small town. I'm not complaining it's definitely decent but I'd rather have authentic Chinese food if i'm gonna be ordering/eating Chinese food. The service is okay, usually only two to three people working but they are usually nice. Sometimes they can be mean and want you to just leave quick and just get on to the next person. I don't know if they do togo because i've never really tried that. Also lighting isn't really aesthetically pleasing. read more

Good Chinese Food. Now we know what ACK stands for. Aww. Not really. Trading in his chevy for a cadilac-ack-ack-ack-ack? My favourite dish is the Shrimp Curry and Akron China King makes it very very well. Probably the best thing about this place is that you can get almost anything on the menu as a small order, which is huge, for $5. Not bad at all! To be honest with you I am not that crazy about Chinese food so I haven't tried many.. I usually don't like them - I don't like a lot of the dishes here either but they're definitely not bad. The best one in the area for me hands down is Golden Wok in Amherst (although they have attitude problems), and this one is a distant second. However these guys are infinitely friendlier, and the girl who serves is just adorable and so sweet, endearing, and excellent at customer service. Beware, they sometimes close earlier than scheduled, especially on a quiet night or when the weather is bad. read more

While visiting in the area, we decided we wanted Chinese food. We found this little place in downtown Akron and were REALLY PLEASED with how good the food is here. Prices are great, portions are large, service was fast. It's mostly a take-out place, we were the only ones eating at one of the two tables and while we were there a steady stream of people came in to pick up phoned in orders. I'm a finicky eater... especially with Chinese food, but this place is awesome!! My all time favorite: Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No where else do they make this dish as tasty as they do!! Another great one: Moo Shoo Chicken w/ Pancakes (pancakes are the non-flavored rice "tortillas") This is awesome!! But you can't get the small lunch version. But it's HUGE!! You could share this with 3 people!! ...and at the price you pay... it's fantastic!! Didn't care too much for their General Tsaos or Orange Chicken but I did see others from work order it a lot. (For GREAT General Tsaos go to the Golden Wok in Amherst!!!) Also.... the wait is minimal!!! My wife and I ordered vegetable lo mein and general two chicken. This was our first time at China King. Vegetable lo mein had plenty of veggies and she enjoyed and thought it was some of the best she ever had. I had the general to chicken and it was at least as good as I ever had. read more

Ordered here a few times, place is dirty and the food taste like fumes from the gas stove they use to cook on. Never went back.

Yum! Good food, I think I'll try a couple different things next time but we will be returning!
