I went here last Thursday for my anniversary and also birthday.. we bought the misogi package and it was wonderful it's alittle on the pricey side but it was worth every penny came with a foot soak a 90 minute massage and a 60 minute facial.. the owner was very nice and the place was very clean and calming! Can't wait to come back read more

Had an amazing experience here! I got a hot stone massage with Renee. She was awesome! She even incorporated some stretches into it. Also, the price is hard to beat! I made sure to tip extra well. read more

I tried the dragon facial and couldn't be more satisfied. Angie Patel is so warm and sweet, you can really tell she is passionate about her work. She is thorough and explains every step of the process. My skin never felt better! I was so impressed I treated my husband the next day to the mancial (facial for men). He was equally as happy! Thank You Angie! I will be back. read more

This was my first time ever getting a facial and it certainly will not be the last! Ms. Judy is so great, she is very knowledgeable about skincare and she listened to every concern I had when it came to it! I had the hydra facial and it was so refreshing! My skin looks and feels absolutely amazing! Sarah was also such a big help! She helped me through the process of getting my appointment scheduled and it was a fast and easy check out! I will definitely recommend to anybody who needs any kind of self care! 10/10 recommend!!!! read more

Lie to customers, manager is young, lacks leadership skills and rarely in office, they use little amount of products, don't actually do their giveaways, great take home products for acne, their website could use some working on, their massage & facial tables are dirty they do not disinfect them, and I have personally seen many cockroaches dead & alive... their acupuncture is great read more

I am obsessed with this spa. I came in for the first time and the way they treat you is amazing. The facility is very clean and calming. Judy is amazing! She recommended a service according to my facial needs. Come early and you get a complementary foot soak. The prices are reasonable and the whole experience is worth every penny. Looking forward to my next appointment. read more

"I've been going to Judy, the owner at Akoya Spa for several years & trust her completely. I've given gift certificates to my mother and mother-in-law! After pregnancy induced melasma in my early 40's, I had the RP treatment & results were immediate & impressive! My splotches are gone. My mom & hubby noticed improvements right away and said my skin was so bright and clear. I even sent the before and after pics to my OB/GYN & dermatologist who were most impressed, especially without laser! After years of Ironman training and being out in the elements, I was grateful to have the best offered locally! She helped me select the best treatment and I couldn't be happier! My husband always tells me I'm glowing. What a treat! I continue with regular facials and have switched over. I'm a believer!" read more

Mandi Is amazing! She is by far the best massage therapist I have ever been to. Her pressure and technique is consistent throughout the entire massage. I've been to Akoya a couple times and every time I have received great customer services and massages. I love this place, thanks Mandi! read more

I bought a gift certificate as a Christmas present for a lady I hadn't seen in a while. The lady I bought it for is unable to use it due to medical issues. I live in Dallas so am unable to go here and use it myself. The lady who answered the phone was so kind, polite and helpful. Unfortunately I haven't been able to go use their services but based off of customer service, FIVE stars!!! Thank you for being so kind and helpful. read more

Ms. Judy did my facial and she spent so much time talking to me and my grandmother beforehand about our skin types and what the best treatments would be for us. Then she personalized our facials and the result are absolutely amazing! She takes her time explaining everything and she stays in the room the whole time even when you have a mask on. She gently massages your neck and shoulders while you wait and I almost fell asleep it was so good! My skin is silky smooth and glowing after words! Definitely recommend read more

One of the best spas that I've been to in terms of treatment quality, product quality, skincare knowledge/experience, and customer service. I used to work in the spa industry so believe me when I say this place is a gem. I've had treatments from 3 different estheticians including Ms. Judy the owner and they were all amazing. The manager and the receptionist are always so helpful, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. I've had the hydrafacial, the mochi facial, the lash lift, and eye brow waxing there and I was impressed with all the services I received. I have super sensitive/rosacea skin and my skin has never looked better. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

My husband bought me a package for Christmas. I was hesitant because of it being so small and in a strip center. I was surprised at the lovely decor and relaxing atmosphere. The receptionist greeted me with a smile as she was on a phone call. After that she set me up in the foot bath. For whatever reason I was left in it longer than I felt necessary and got out because my legs were cold. When she came back in she apologized profusely and offered a choice of several bonus treatments for free. The facial was good but the massage with Mandy was exceptional. I have been getting frequent massages for years and she's among the best. Afterwards I was greeted with the same warm caring greeting I had going on. I will definitely be returning! read more

Nice spa with some very good therapists. Massage therapists Jessica and Madeline are great, and esthetician Brandi is very good too. I recently had an awful facial from Judy who used latex gloves, which made for an awful ordeal. It's a bit pricey compared to other spas, but clean and comfortable. read more

I'm still pretty new to Houston but discovered Akoya after reading great reviews on Yelp. My first visit was great and I had the pleasure of meeting Michaela who is super sweet and very warm. She gave me a consultation and we decided on the treatment for me. I had my first hydra facial which was great. It's an elaborate version of a micro but with a hydrating feature where different products are infused into your skin during the process. Michaela talked me through it and made me feel completely relaxed and comforted in her treatment room. I've seen been back for two more hydra facials with Michaela and also had a massage from Madeline which was outstanding! I'll obviously be going regularly for both. read more

I called earlier in the week for a facial for a Saturday and they were able to fit me in (always awesome!) The spa is relaxing - definitely come early to take advantage of the complimentary foot bath - and clean. Michaela gave me the MOST RELAXING facial I have ever had in my life (even with the extractions)! My favorite part was that she did not spend the facial trying to sell me products like so many other places have done. She was honest about my skin, and gave me recommendations for things I could do at home to keep my skin clear. I will be back at Akoya as a regular customer! read more

I would highly recommend coming here for a massage. I absolutely feel fantastic after my massage I just received

I have been coming to this spa for over two years. I have also sent all of my firends and my own two daughters here. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, ALWAYS friendly, and a beautiful facility with top of the line products. Not only will you leave there more peaceful, but your skin will be transformed! A Family run- small business that makes you feel at home. A must try for yourself or you could treat a friend to a gift card. Go! read more

I got the Mother's Day special as a gift from my kiddos and it was amaaaaazing. From start to finish, you can tell they definitely know what they're doing. The minute I walked in I began to relax with the ambiance, the hushed tones (and the warm tea!) - which I truly appreciated. My facial with Aunjie and massage with Mandi were the best I've ever had! They were both so professional and helped make my experience a memorable one. This was such a treat, I'm so glad I was introduced to this place. I will definitely be back - cant wait to try the hot stones next! read more

One of my female friends had been raving about this Akoya Spa place, so I decided that whenever I had 90 minutes available and was in the Clear Lake area, I would definitely stop by. Well, today was just that day. I walk in around 1pm and I'm immediately greeted by the jovial receptionist and she offered me a cup of mint tea. I knew I was going to get a massage, but unsure of which one. After my consultation with the massage therapist, I opted for the 1 hour Akoya Spa Signature Massage and essential oils. I was skeptical of the essential oils (it's just oils, right?), but whatever secret potion they made with the lavender/cedarwood/and juniper berry oils, I wish they could bottle that by the container because my 1 hour massage was probably the best I've ever had. I came out relaxed and my knots were melted away. At the end, they even bottled up in a 2 oz container the remaining secret concoction for me to use later (winner winner!!) The only thing I would do different is get there 15 minutes early to receive the welcoming foot bath; I highly recommend and would go again whenever I'm free. read more

This place is WONDERFUL. I've lived nearby for 6 years and have always wondered if it was worth the trip - I'n now regretting those wasted years. The prices are good, the staff is courteous, attentive and professional, and the quality of my massage was fantastic! I'm going to hop on the foot bath train - believe all the other reviewers. Do yourself a favor and get there early so you have a chance to decompress before you go in for your service. I'm already planning my trip back! read more

I've booked with them 3 times and all three times they have double booked or had to cancel the day of. Their online booking never seems to work and neither does their staff. That was the last time I even attempt to go there. It's a shame because the one time I managed to get an appt. It was a really good massage. read more

I have been a client of Akoya Spa since 2008. I have been to many spas in the past but no one even compares to Akoya. Their staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Judy has been my primary technician for my facials and she will give you a consultation first which will pinpoint problem areas and then she will give you the appropriate facial according to your skin type. I love that! They are reasonably priced compared to all other spas in the area and they constantly run specials on all of their procedures. You will not find a better spa anywhere else! read more

I have only been here for the acupuncture. It's pricey but worth it. They are professional and the facility is very clean.

First time there and I had a great HydraFacial with Judy! Comfortable atmosphere and staff. Just booked a prenatal massage too.

What a wonderful place on which I stumbled! God smiles upon me when I need it most! The place has a Japanese Zen vibe which I really like. The music was nice and soothing, the receptionist was friendly and efficient. I was also greeted by the owner which I really appreciate knowing she has an active interest in her business. My therapist Mandi was top notch! She listened to my needs, with her skill and knowing hands; performed the massage exactly how I needed. I will definitely be back, I'm looking forward to the Himalayan Salt stone therapy! Thank you, all of you at Akoya, you made my day quite a bit brighter! read more

This spa should be in the dictionary next to relaxation. By far the best I've ever been to. Employees really seem to be passionate about health and wellness. I love that! I give this place 2 stars. I called to make an appointment and the lady was very nice and schedule me at my needed time. When i walked in there was no one at the front and the front desk lady stressfully walks in and checks me in 5 minutes later. She escorts me to a room to sit and gave me some water and said "sorry we are understaffed" and left. I sat in that room 20 minutes after my appointment time then finally the facial lady walked in. She put a camera to my face and told me my options and what facial she thinks i should do and of course she says i should do a $200 one. We finally agreed to a cheaper facial and then she tells me i will have to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes until she can start on me because she is running behind schedule. I got up and left and will NEVER be coming back again. They had my phone number and they should have called me before my appointment before i got there and told me they were understaffed and running behind schedule so that i could have came at a later time or a different day. Their lack of communication and customer service is ridiculous and i thought a 5 star reviewed place would have treated me better! Disappointed. read more

I appreciate how Akoya knows my name when I walk in. The building is clean and relaxing. Mandi was my masseuse. She asked about how much pressure I would like, she did exactly what I like. I left feeling relax. Thank you Mandi!! I will be returning read more

My friend introduced me to Akoya Spa and I'm glad she did! I am very happy with their services. Tebra is great. I have used many of their services: facials, microdermabrasion, Obagi products, and Jane Iredale make up. All are excellent and Rina is a wonderful resource for answers to all issues. Recently I tried the Body Contour wraps and I must say, I am seeing lots of benefits....toning and shaping, inches reduced and toxins eliminated. It's a great idea for anyone wanting to jump start their wellness program. Try it out! read more
