I needed more or less a one time treatment for a cyst that had been an annoyance for me for years…read more Found this office in an alignment of convenience to my work office and search for doctors covered under insurance. It worked out well. As noted in one other review, new patients will not be able to book an appointment with Dr. Cindy Berthelot quickly, at least without emergency. Wait was about two months for new patients, but I did not have a pressing issue (nor did I push to squeeze me in). With most doctors appointments, they either called or texted reminders a day or two before. The HID center is behind the renown Tommy's restaurant in attached office/professional space (I say this because it's hard to see from the street, note there is plenty of parking in front). Front desk was very professional, waiting room and treatment area are very clean. This was during COVID times (I hope years from now that will be irrelevant) and they had signs at the door for expected behavior, sanitizer at the check in desk (behind plastic divider panel), and everyone wearing masks appropriately. I had a series of three appointments. Assessment, short surgery, then follow up (stiches removal). All my appointments were met promptly with no more waiting than expected (5-10 minutes in waiting room, note I was early each time, then 5-10 minutes in patient room before the doctor entered). My case was straight forward so nothing unique or challenging about the diagnosis. I felt like I was in the room under 30 minutes each time, even the surgery (which had local anesthetic and took about the time of a hair cut) and I was door to door from my office in under an hour. Dr. Berthelot was very forthright with treatment information, cost, and expectations of recovery. She even eye inspected unrelated moles around the area and let me know she saw nothing alarming. The wound was stitched and bandaged well. Recovery (2 week stitches, some limited activities as to not aggravate the wound) was by the book per her instructions. The office followed up with a phone call after the removal was sent to the lab and came back clean. Very professional and courteous overall. Everything went smoothly on the insurance (UHC) and topical prescription (at nearby CVS). UHC negotiated cost (as I had not met deductible) was well below what Dr. Berthelot had cited. I probably hadn't had the treatment sooner just due to not knowing a good place to get it. Now I do, and if the situation comes again I won't hesitate to reach out sooner and set up an appointment.

When inquired about this procedure in their billing; the nurses encourage they will send a bill before the auto payment yet that is nowhere in the fine print with your signature. The doctor is dismissive and lacks the ability to be transparent. I'm not sure why my dr referred me to a cosmetic and general dermatologist when my issue is not cosmetic or general. Rather advising me to a different speciality more equipped for my condition, she performed a procedure more evasive than what is standard led in diagnosing my suspected condition. Doctor provided no after care instructions for my procedure, and the nursing assistant sent a prescription to the wrong pharmacy than I had provided. Turning a 3 minute drive to pick up into a 20 minute drive. I canceled my follow up appointment and a receptionist called to schedule a follow up and proceeded to talk over me, hence the reason I would not suggest this office to a family member. Seems very scammy.

I did a bunch of research on microblading before I decided to just go for it! I knew that I LOVED…read morethe potential results by looking at dozens of before and after pictures. Who wouldn't love waking up with perfect, natural looking brows?! I did have a big concern though...I either found reviews that said 'it hurt' or 'didn't feel a thing.' My other concern was that I wanted to find a place that had really great reviews- they are working on your face after all! So... here is it... Natasha is WONDERFUL! She numbs your eyebrow area before starting the microblading. So, the most you feel is pressure. And in some places you don't even feel pressure. Believe me when I say that you do not have to be concerned about pain- I DO NOT like needles and have a low pain tolerance. The numbing process honestly feels like a really rough eyebrow plucking. Then once that is done, you don't feel a thing while Natasha does her magic. Skin Solutions Day Spa is my new favorite place! It's very cozy, you walk in and you are met with wonderful, relaxing smells. Everyone I met was very patient and nice. Great customer service- which is an absolute must for me!! They offer so many different services- eyebrows, eyelashes, massages, skin treatments. It's hard to just choose one! And honestly, the reviews all speak for themselves. I highly recommend this place- why drive all the way to Houston when you can have first class spa services right here in the Suburbs?! And if you are even considering the microblading... schedule a Q & A with Natasha. It's free and she can answer any questions you have. (If you are worried about the pain.. please trust me when I say you have nothing to worry about!)

Their one size fits all approach to facials and constantly rotating selections of estheticians was not ideal for my skincare needs. In fact, I've seen more improvement in my face in one year with Janie than I did in three years going to Hand & Stone monthly. To reemphasize how good she is, I recently moved to Austin, yet I still make the three hour trip to see her once a month.
