This is quite simply one of the finest restaurants in Bordeaux, if not the finest. It is amazing that they are not more widely cited, but Akashi has a loyal following. Although extremely refined, combining Japanese sophistication and classic French cuisine, the seasonal menu focuses on celebrating the true flavor of the ingredients (cauliflower, lichi, oyster come to mind) drawing largely on our region's fine quality food products. The highly skilled and creative chef is on his way to earning a Michelin Star, IMHO. The service is pleasant and professional, and the dining room is tasteful and quiet. we feel so incredibly luck to have such a fine chef in our city!
