I brought a crack iPad Mini in and for whatever reason the corner popped up slightly unbeknownst to me and cracked when i picked it up the same day. I brought it back and he said he would redo the repair for 100 bucks, needless to say I refused. At this point the glass literally comes unglued hangs halfway off. I would pay for another repair but I doubt it would be better. Bottom line: He didn't clean the sticking areas enough to get the glass to adhere correctly, and rather than admit that, he wanted to double charge. DANGER RESPONSE TO COMMENT: After our discussion, I thought more about this. I put the case on immediately after the repair was made and it was not removed after so the damage had to have been there prior.. At any rate the glass will not stay on. Had been over here before to get screens fixed but this time around was a disaster Samsung S5 that I had brought in and needed an LCD replacement for which on amazon lists for 155 they charged 300 for (including labor costs understandable) When I had picked the phone up the screen was replaced with a defective one with a mashed in button that at the time they did not want to take a second look at and told me to come in if I had any further issues Lo and behold I came in to get the "new screen repair" warrantied and I was told to come in the following week next Friday. A whole week of waiting again! Once I had come in again this time it took them 5 hours to "repair" the mashed in button but instead they decided to take spugers left and right and seperated the screen While my mashed in button is still mashed it kinda works okay now. But now the screen is half off the phone and I will no longer continue business with folks that wont go back properly on there own work. Would definitely recommend a local ZAGG read more

I took a I-phone5 to be repaired. Needed a new batterie and power button. In about 1/2 hour he fixed both issues, unfortunately after the repair one of the camera lenses no longer works. Took it back and he wasn't able to make repair the camera. Since he is not a certified Apple repair now Apple won't touch the phone. I was only in the office 30 minutes the first time and 15 on the second visit but during that time I witnessed 2 other frustrated customers. Be careful. read more

Awesome screen repair. Took my iPhone 5s in there with a shattered screen and only took about 30 minutes, AND they got me in right away. Screw works awesome now and even got a glass screen protector for $15, when they are normally $40-$50 elsewhere. No complaints! Thank you AK repair! read more

Don't consider taking anything here for repair. Low quality repair jobs and your device will most likely end up broken. All parts used are the lowest quality cheapest parts. Very unprofessional service and storefront. read more

I brought my IPad 4 in for a screen replacement this fall. Pointed out one or two dents in the bezel which might be an issue with a refit. When I picked it up, I noticed three corners of the new glass were higher (above the bezel) then they should be. I took it back and they said they needed "to put it in the press again," apparently to be sure the adhesive took. That didn't work and within a week three corners had become unglued. I decided I could not keep running back and looked online for directions. I removed the screen and had to take off two layers of old glue and push out the dings I originally showed them. I ordered a screen online (about $15) and followed online directions. Within an hour I had a new screen in place--the right way. I could have saved over $150 if I did this in the first place. read more

I left today very disappointed. After giving them every opportunity to make good on promises/customer service and making a strong attempt to support local business not only could they not fix my phone but then failed to honor a verbal agreement. Several months ago I brought in a Samsung S4 with a non working speaker and a cracked screen. I could live with a cracked screen but for $150 figured go ahead and fix that also. I specified to both adults in the store that the phone was no good without the speaker and to ensure that the speaker worked before putting money into it. When several days later they returned it to me (after returning on the promise date and being told "tomorrow" 2 days in a row, I asked them to please call me if it's not going to be ready when I showed up it still wasn't ready but said 1 more hour). I received the phone looking great with a new screen but no working speaker. Are you kidding me! I asked him what good was the phone? He argued with me that it was still good for other things such as for video, camera, or music player. He promised that if I did a hard reset and it still didn't work he would buy the phone from me for what I paid for the screen. After several attempts to catch him when open I finally caught him today, (He wasn't there so I had to wait about 30 minutes before he returned) He then said the phone was barely worth $25. I reminded him of his promise and he acknowledge our previous conversation but when he started arguing about what he wanted to pay ($25) I said; "Look, I'm not here to haggle with you just tell me straight up if you are going to honor your word" Longer story short, I still have a nice looking but expensive paperweight Responding to your response; Wow! you either have a very poor memory, or you are just a plain liar. (not to say my memory is perfect, but come on there should at least have some sort of continuity between the two stories). I'm sorry to be so direct But you even acknowledged the agreement and your co-worker fully recalled the incident. You shame yourself with this type of argument Mr. Lee. You would have done better to just ignore the cite but to relay a set of circumstance that just aren't true ... we'll at least now I know what I was dealing with. At least every other review page bears this out and of course your "D" rating from the Better Business Bureau doesn't help. This review talks about multiple issues. Dropped my phone off with them to have the front and back glass repaired and after a week and a half of waiting I got it back on 1/27/2015. so today 1/28/2015 when I woke up the back of my z2 fell off and the screen is not secured to the phone so it lifts up and you can see inside the phone, inside to its guts from the front and back... There isn't any glass on the back at all so it's not water proof right now and the camera lens cover doesn't have any protection. so I guess I paid for the guy to pull the glass off the back... WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!! So I brought it back and asked if he was able to test to see if it was air tight after he fixed it again and I was shown the machine that they use to do just that. Then it dawned on me that he said he fixed it but didn't bother to see if it was air tight.??? I'm sorry but if you are going to work on someone's personal property and you say you are going to fix something don't lie and not fix it. Don't cut corners and not fully test out your work. Do it right the first time and quit making customers furious. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. So today I get a call from them asking if it's alright that he didn't put any back glass on my phone......... are you serious???? I told them that no it's not alright that I didn't understand why he wasn't repairing my phone the way it was agreed upon that I already paid full price and that I want my phone fixed like we had agreed. The repair guy was supposed to call me back and talk about what he could do to make this right but he didn't call. TOTALLY DISSATISFIED. I owned my own business for 20 years and felt the customers should be my priority during business hours! Now on to your work related comment. I came in at 10:30am and told your partner I needed to leave by 12:15pm (he said no problem) Yes, I had my phone fixed on Friday for a camera issue and it was just that a camera issue. Yes, my phone was missing 1 screw on the inside your partner showed me (not several) and your partner pulled a used camera part out of a box of used phone parts and installed it. Then my phone had more than just the camera issue. He took it apart again and tried messing with it. Meanwhile the clock was ticking and I reminded him I needed to leave by 12:15pm once again he assured me no problem. Finally at 12:15pm when you walked back in the door you looked at my phone and said can I bring it back in the morning. At this point in my mind I was thinking I would NEVER return and how now my phone not just a camera issue it has a complete screen fading issue and now unusable!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I cracked the screen on my Samsung Galaxy s4, and was trying to figure out if I wanted to find out if it would be cheaper to replace my phone myself, or see if the insurance I bought thru GCI would cover it. However, knowing that if insurance did cover the replacement there is a $250 deductible, I wanted to see if there was any alternatives. So on searching craiglist for a used phone, I saw an ad announcing screen replacement for $125 for my phone. Did a little research, found their facebook listing, also saw the previous yelp review, and figured it was worth looking into. So a few phone calls later, and after waiting a few days for my schedule to clear up enough to get to their shop on Old Seward (near Dowling), I took it in Monday at noon. Got a call at 3pm saying it was done. I know the guy was working hard to get the orders completed, as he told me when I dropped the phone off that 430 or 5pm might be tough to get it finished by as he had a difficult job he was in the middle of. So the work was done in shorter time than he advised, and the replacement screen is working great. I will definitely recommend this shops work (does a variety of electronic repair, not just phones). Hopefully I will never break a screen again, but if I do this will be the shop I go to. read more

this guy is useless and rude. took my new but recently cracked phone to him a few weeks ago and he told me it would be $600 to fix my iphone 6s screen. which was frustrating as online they had quoted about $125. he was condescending and arrogant when we mentioned other options and prices and assured us we be back to see him when fixing it ourselves or trying somewhere else went wrong. i took it to apple and they gave me a new phone for the price of a screen replacement, which is $130! read more
