So a few days ago, the house I acquired a few years, the garage door started to act funny, getting stuck etc. After asking around for recommendations I didn't get a wholehearted one so I turned to yelp. I read a few reviews of this establishment so I decided to give a try. First, the person who answered the phone was friendly and understanding as I was describing sounds and all that's not professional jargon but he got the drift and told me that someone can come the same day to take a look. I didn't expect that but was delighted. The two young men who came to check the problem were Mateo and Alex, nice young men who are professional and courteous. They check the problem and explain to my hubby and myself of the problem and also they didn't try to pull a fast one over us by trying to sell us a brand new system ( which I cannot afford at this time anyway). They came back the next day promptly of the time they promised but ran a little late because of the traffic which is understandable because we are in Bay Ridge and they had to go over that terrible bridge traffic. Once they are here they went straight to work and they even cleaned up afterwards!!! They offered to remove the old stuff that they replaced. They even got me two additional remotes and programmed so I didn't just have one which my 15 yo almost lost it once. Overall I would highly recommend them again and I found out they also do commercial gates too so I will be reaching out to them when that time come for my business.

We had 3 roofs to be replaced, the main house, the standalone garage, and a flat roof, part of an extension to the house. The job was projected to take 2 days, but they finished in 1, promptly starting at 7:30 am and not leaving until 7 that night. Crews kept moving in and out all day to do different parts of the job. My contract and invoice clearly show that my…read moregarage door system is under an active warranty, yet Goldi insisted I had no warranty and refused to provide the service that should have been covered. What made this even worse is that no diagnostic was performed at all. The technician didn't attempt to identify why my garage door was malfunctioning. Instead, I was immediately offered a paid repair -- with no confirmation that the fix would actually solve the problem. My new $800 garage door system randomly fails to open, or it opens and closes on its own. These are serious issues, and Goldi made no effort to determine the cause. Ignoring the warranty and skipping a proper diagnostic is unacceptable. Based on my experience, Goldi does not honor its agreements and does not provide the level of service customers should expect. ---
