My family and I are from out of town visiting my son. He took us to this place because he really liked it. We ordered a lot of food; my son had a separate order, and our family's order was $82.32. We went back to my son's place to eat. I looked through my food before I ate, and I found a worm in my ramen, so I called them to let them know what we had Found. At first, they did not want to reimburse us. Then they said they would reimburse the one meal, which we thought was not right because after finding this I told everybody to stop eating their food and no one ate their food. Then they said they would talk to the owner, and the owner said that they would reimburse the whole meal, besides the beer, which I understand. They took our name and number down and said we would be reimbursed. This has not happened, and I'm highly disappointed. We wil not go back to this place again and if you do eat at this place, please search your food. *Pics are posted*
Their steamed buns are some of my all time favorites. I also have enjoyed both their broth and brothless ramen too. I greatly appreciate them having vegetarian options. I can't tell you the number of times my husband and I try to go venture out but then end up going straight to Aji knowing that it won't disappoint!
Food is okay. I wish it was spicier!!! Still traumatized from when we found a piece of rope in our ramen... Service was bad and food isn't that good overall.
You really need their food in your life, LOL! Customer service was great as well! This is a quaint spot so if you're going for dinner/weekend, it might be a wait. But, trust me it's well worth the wait! I ordered the Takoyaki (octopus balls) and the Shoyo Ramen (with chicken and fried shrimp). I do wish the octopus was a little less gummy but the sauce on top of them were awesome! The ramen was the star of the show for me!! It was everything I needed and more, fulfilling and flavorsome! I ate EVERY last drop. Oh, and add some garlic oil for an additional layer of yumminess!
So glad we finally tried this restaurant. So many appetizers. Even octopus balls!! We had the dumplings, karaage, and spring rolls. For the main course we had vegetable ramen, tonkotsu ramen, and miso ramen. You choose which protein you want in it. The vegetable ramen comes with tofu. All very tasty. They have an assortment of beers and sake. Along with a couple of wines. Small place so it gets filled up quick. We didn't have to wait long. They moved people through quickly. Plenty of parking. It is located in a strip mall.
We stopped for lunch during our trip and were happy to have found authentic ramen! It was a cold and rainy day, so it was just perfect. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and sat. We ordered the gyoza to start, and they came out really fast! They tasted great and were pan-seared perfectly. We then ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, and it also came out fairly quickly. The ramen was delicious, full of flavor, and loaded with condiments. They also offer you a side of chili oil in case you want to add some spice. The service was also good! I would recommend this spot for some good ramen.
A small ramen spot laid out in a narrow way. They have a handful of tables (maybe about six) to seat four people along the walls and then bar seating basically along the other wall. A bit warm on the inside, but not so much that it was miserable or even that distracting. The menu is pretty small, but they did have an extra paper with some new menu items... though even with some more options I'd still say the menu was pretty small. I went with the chicken ramen. It came in pork broth (which I thought was interesting since it was chicken ramen, but that's probably pretty common and I just never noticed before). I thought it was good but pretty simple. I would have liked the flavor overall, and specifically the broth, to be more powerful. I did really enjoy that it came with a soft boiled egg instead of having to order it as an "extra" like some other places. I also liked the chili hair since I've never tried it before and it looked cool. It added a tiny bit of spice. The noodles were thinner than I've had with this kind of ramen, it was more similar to the thickness of packaged ramen. They gave a good amount of chicken and the chunks were pretty big. To me it had a soy sauce flavor, like the chicken was cooked in it or something. I didn't eat any of the seaweed paper but I liked that it was there still because it added a little more flavor to have it kind of continue to soak in the broth. The staff was very nice too!
Food was amazing! Got two different kinds of Steam Buns and Tonkotsu Chicken Ramen. Hope was our waitress and she did great.
Awesome ramen and service. I usually get the vegetable ramen and add extra chili paste on the side for some heat. Sometimes I add extra tofu, roasted seaweed or soft boiled eggs. This is a very busy place during typical lunch hours. I try to go between 1 and 5 for a quieter atmosphere with less people. They also have sake and Asian beer. I wish they'd add more non flavored, non nigori, dry sakes. Great spot!
On this cold evening, was in the mood for something warm and comforting. Ramen seemed the perfect companion. Unfortunately, our first ramen experience in Little Rock was a bit disappointing. The cha-siu ramen broth was lacked flavor and the richness advertised. The pork slices bone-dry. Chicken "karaage" was a sad sight opening the container. I write "karaage" because they're more of the frozen chicken nugget variety. Where are the chicken thighs battered in-house? I'm hoping I just had a poor experience. In their defense, we ordered 45 minutes until close.
For the most part, good for what's available in the area. The noodles seem to be shipped in and premade, ramen eggs are just a bit over cooked relative to the traditional jammy egg - marinade is also weaker than usual. Pork slices are a bit more lean than traditional chashu pork belly. The broth is 75% of the way there, just needs more dashi flavor and oil.

Good ramen. I think the broth needed a little more time but still had good flavor. Noodles were good and buttery. Very small but quaint restaurant. They offer table and bar style seating. I also tried the chicken bao appetizers...they were delicious. I honestly think I enjoyed them more than the ramen. Service was good as well. Ample free parking since it's located in a strip mall. Good go to on a cold day. read more

You really need their food in your life, LOL! Customer service was great as well! This is a quaint spot so if you're going for dinner/weekend, it might be a wait. I mean...it was okay, but I'm from the west coast where Asian food is more authentic, I was just a bit confused; it didn't have the typical toppings and the broth wasn't creamy like I was expecting, but overall good. read more

This was my first time trying ramen and I will say it was delicious!!! I wanted to grab something quick and head home before the storm so i googled, found this ramen place that was close by and went and placed an order i got the Gyoza dumplings and veggie and tofu ramen that starts with a T. (It has the bone broth). All of it was amazing and I am going to have to take my finace there bc he looooves Ramen. read more

Before you see the stars and say, WHAT HOW COULD YOU?! I am from NorCal, an area with not only more diversity but also a much larger Asian population. Ramen is something easily found thoughtout California. Husband heard about this spot from a coworker who used to be stationed at Yokota. The claim was that this joint was as authentic as it gets. Well, I mean it is partly correct. It is the best ramen spot out here, given that there are maybe 2 or 3 spots total that serve ramen in all of Arkansas. The staff here is primarily Malaysian, with the cook being Japanese (there may be more, there was only 1 during lunch rush when we came). This spot is easy to spot in the same shopping center as Star of India in WLR. We were seated right away since we opted for the bar. Small menu available, and a paper menu in a stand with specials on it. One thing I noticed right away: black garlic oil is extra. Yep. It is extra. Husband ordered the curry ramen and I opted for Cha Siu Ramen. I noticed that the shoyu ramen is described as a chicken broth, instead of a soy sauce base? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the one I ordered is tonkotsu, or pork bone broth. It was pretty good, it is the best you're gonna get in this area. As far as the authenticity claim? I mean like I said, it's the closest to real ramen you can get in Arkansas, but it doesn't compare to the ramen I've had back home. No, I have not been in Japan like husband's coworkers, but pretty sure the Japanese restaurants in California are closer to what I would expect to have in Japan (and of course going off friend recommendations and comparisons)... so compare this to an authentic experience is a stretch. Pretty decent joint, good food for the price, and customer service is nice. read more

We ordered shoyu chicken ramen, curry rice bowl,vegetable and tofu rice and chicken karaage. They are generous with salt! Every chicken is too salty, the veggies are too salty. Service was fast so you know it's not freshly done. Too much for the price compare to the ones we tried with the same price but not the same quality. The ambiance is ok read more
Was in town visiting USAF son and daughter-in-law and they wanted to try this place. I am shocked to find such a great ramen joint in Arkansas! The location is intimate, but we had no problem getting seats as we arrived just before the lunch rush. The service was fantastic and the food even better! We tried just about every appetizer and liked them all! The portions were large and everything was fresh. If I had a complaint, it is minor, but my egg was overcooked because I like just a little bit of runny yolk (see, minor!). We all enjoyed it and think you will too! read more

To be fair, I'm from the West Coast where we have awesome Ramen places. The noodles here had a great chew, the pork was fatty and tender, the toppings were standard, but the broth lacked that rich flavor which comes from boiling pork bones for hours. Service was fine, the food came out a little slow for a ramen place, but the place was packed. The chili paste was hot, a little goes a long way. The edamame was standard, and the serving was large. Not a bad place for ramen, just temper your expectations to your location. read more
