The technician did not give me a price estimate for the second visit. He just said I would be charged for the part and labor but no actual price. This money would have been better put towards a new washer. I have corrected the price in my original posting. I had difficulty reading the handwriting. You can see the two charges for two different visits.

I…read moreexplained to the operation manager of A+Refrigeration that the solar system would be going to inspection, but he had his crew install the condenser and piping in such a way that the solar company would not be able to have their system pass inspection. Also the A+ crew was rushed and poorly supervised, leaving caulk on our patio.

I called Gary after seeing his info on Craigslist. Last year I had a HVAC guy come to my house as…read moremy heater wasn't working. He tested the machine and told me the transformer was blown and I needed a whole new unit. I was quoted $2000. I didn't do it last year because of the cost but decided to try again this year. Gary was above all expectations. He was polite on the phone and made an appointment to come look at the unit. The morning of, he called 30 minutes before to confirm. He was here 5 minutes prior to our appointment. I had only asked Gary for a quote to replace my unit, not to see how to fix it. While he was looking at the unit, I told him about the last quote. I said the last guy said it was a blown transformer and I needed to replace the entire heater. Gary stopped and said, that's all that's wrong? That's only a $6 part, the unit doesn't need to be replaced. He went to his car to get his tools to confirm that was the only problem. It was! We made an appointment a couple days later and now my heater is working perfectly. Now I know most of the things that happened are what SHOULD happen. But that has not been my experience with most contractors. First and foremost, he was HONEST. He was ON TIME. He was AFFORDABLE. He was POLITE. I couldn't ask for anymore. I would absolutely recommend him to my family and friends. Thank you Gary!
