Frank came at 10:00 AM, quickly diagnosed our problem, a broken bracket which stopped us from properly installing a replacement filter in our good old Amana refrigerator, and then correctly installed the filter. He told us how to do it more easily - hold the front of the bracket and add a bit of butter to ease the quarter turn connection. I have used this business for service calls on my home and on my rental property. The technician Frank is very kind and courteous. Even with a very challenging refrigerator issue that required several visits - which by the way, was not because he was not doing a great job, but because the refrigerator had multiple issues come up. He also fixed our bent hinges on our dishwasher and put additional insulation on it when another company said to just get a new machine. Thus he saved us tons of money. I called them because my fridge stopped cooling. The guy came next day and opened the fridge, listened to it, and that was it. Did not take out a single screw or bolt to inspect the faulty evaporator fan motor. From that "diagnose" he said it was very likely the fan was not working and we may need A WHOLE NEW BACK PANEL because "nowadays LG make parts very complicated and there was a bunch of complicated circuits" that were connected in that panel. He then moves on to say he needed to check with the office the availability and price of the part (plus labor), and he'd call in a couple of hours to give me an estimate. BTW, the whole interaction did not take more than 15 mins. Of course, they charge you $120 for that visit. After couple of hours he calls and gives me an estimate of $480 for the back panel, plus labor. At that point I knew what was going on. I said hell no! and simply went back to the internet, bought the fan motor in amazon for $23.75 and installed myself in less than 45 min, just watching a couple of videos in youtube (of course no need to replace the back panel!!!). Why I did not do it from the beginning?? Because I'd never worked on a refrigerator before and no one want to have a grumpier wife complaining about a messed up fridge. But if you can handle a screwdriver and a pair of pliers, don't let these scammers take advantage of you. I really hope those guys go out of business for their work ethic. read more

Really great customer service here! I bought a portable ac from here last year and went over a bump in the parking lot and my ac fell off and I had a hard time picking it up so an employee put it in my cart and also helped me load it into my car. They tend to have sales and pass out coupons that don't expire! I usually keep the coupons in my car. Today I went to find a tub spout because the one I bought at home depot didn't work and the employee at ace found the parts needed to make the home depot stuff work. We are very happy to have found Frank at Ace Appliance. A few weeks ago we had a power surge followed by a power outage that caused our oven to die. It's an older oven, but we didn't want to replace it just yet so we called around to a few local appliance/repair shops and were very lucky to have found Frank. I have to give Frank 5 stars for the honesty he showed me this week. We had a refrigerator freeze stop working. He was the only one I could find working the Friday after the 4th. He was courtesou and on-time. He diagnosed​ the problem as low Freon visually because he told me my unit might still be under​ warranty and if he tore into the unit it would void the warranty. It wasn't and he came back to put the Freon in. But it didn't work so he came back again and found that the compressor had failed. The cost of the ​repair was so high that I decided to buy a new unit. But he kept his integrity and my business when he decided to only charge me the inspection fee even though he had put the freon in and sealed the unit. ​ read more
