Dont trust the negative review, AJ is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and is able to do almost anything. We recently moved to Austin and had several jobs that needed done around the house. AJ was able to do them all including planning and installing a 220v electrical outlet leading to our circuit panel (for an EV charger in the garage). I dont know why Nikol L. would maliciously hyperbolize and say he cannot change a light bulb? Highly recommended and I definitely plan on using his services again any time we need something done. read more

I wish here is minus .. absolutely unprofessional, impossible to communicate with. He had hard time changing a light bulb, made a huge mess! And the drama what he created after I tell him he doesn't know anything which is true is not even funny I was very close to dial 911 he scared me for a moment. And at the ends I have to deal with the mess what he created after he finally took off!! This tragic experience gave me a good lesson to install a camera because you never know. I called AJ for a few projects. He was able to quickly work me into his schedule. While repairing a wrought iron gate, he inadvertently punctured my sprinkler line. He quickly notified me if the issue and set to repair it. He tried to resolve the issue with tools available (and we thought it had been fixed) but he took the extra time to ensure the problem was solved. It wasn't so he had to make a trip to HD. After a bit of effort - the issue was fixed, the gate repaired and working great. AJ is very detailed oriented and does not cut corners! AJ saved the day and the second story of the house ! Our house is 15 years old and so I walk around it to see if there are problems. Sure enough I found that three pieces of siding had slipped and there was exposure on the second floor. At 76 I'm not about to crawl up there so I found AJ. He came right over , was professional , very polite and fixed the problem ( he even matched the 15 year old paint ) immediately ( can't tell there was a problem ). I can't express how grateful I am to have found AJ! My dog had chewed the patio door frame in my apartment and I faced huge fines. AJ made it so you could not tell a dog even lived there. He is very thorough with his work and makes sure everything is perfect. For example, He went out and bought a new saw table since he did not have the wood he originally bought sized properly. I've been remis in writing a note in reference to A.J. the Handyman, who completed a project for me last Monday, August 12. I had ordered a pull-down screen for the deck on the west side of the house in hopes of cutting down on the afternoon sun coming into our living room. The person who had agreed to install the screen got delayed for several days. So, we looked on the internet to maybe find someone. "A.J. Handyman" responded to our query and told me he'd be by to look at the job later that day (it was already 2:30 pm). A.J. not only came by, but installed the screen so that it was operating exactly as advertised and was exactly as I had requested ("Centered and level" A.J. is the first "handyman" I've seen in a long while who owned a spirit level.) A.J. loves to talk, so he pauses work from time-to-time. That's why he charges by the job and not by the hour. If Readers Digest "Most Unusual Character I've Ever Met" were still being printed, I'd write an article about him. An unusual man with a strong work ethic and honest to boot. Stars?
