They also did some wood work including replacing my wood chimney cap, a facia board under my front window, replaced a side garage door, and replaced some rotted clapboard. They primed, caulked, wood putty repair on wood trim and replaced weathered wood trim. His estimate was fair and in line with other paint contractors. I went with AJ Painting to paint my interior because they were the first that could start the job on the timeline I was working with. However, they weren't my first choice and I don't recommend them to be yours either. Pros: 1. Responsive when getting the job set up 2. They do a decent job painting 3. They are fast at getting the job done Cons: 1. They are the most expensive quote I received, and only quote that required a 10% down before starting and 20% the day they are suppose to start. 2. Owner isn't very open to hearing your actual wants and needs. He just wants to go in there and paint the cheapest way possible. (Suggest that you buy your own paint if you go with him. He over charges on paint and buys the minimum paint needed to cover the house) 3. Alberto (owner/boss) is always gone and when you have questions the workers say they can't answer and have to wait for the boss, however he is nowhere to be found 4. Has an excuse for every question or concern you have 5. Gets angry if you ask him to repaint or go over an area you aren't happy with. 6. He said he would come and do touch ups as I walked around and saw areas that needed them. The original date that was set for touch ups, he was suppose to meet the real estate agent but while the agent was waiting for him he walked to the mailbox and by the time he returned Alberto was gone. I received a message stating he was there for 15 minutes, however that was a lie as I saw the video on Ring when he arrived, knocked, and left. 7. Ignored my calls after I tried to reschedule the touch ups, and when I finally heard from him he had an excuse 8. Lastly I hired the company that painted my exterior to finish his work inside! Now that company I recommend, they were great!!!! The company I was pleased with was Nice and Clean Painting everything is in the name!! They are so pleasant to work with and clean!!!! AJ Painting left large bags of trash on my property. Very disappointed overall, especially with such high prices in painting! Go with Nice and Clean Painting, you won't be disappointed as I was with AJ Painting. read more

I had a roof leak weir water went into my sons room and Garage area. Called my homeowner's insurance and they had Stanley Steamer cut a while in the drywall to dry out the water damage. So I had to get a contractor out to patch the wall called the Wall Doctor in Menife and he patched it and he was supposed to paint the room. He kept canceling with me because his quote I have a big job and it's kicking my butt. The guy came out to give me an estimate. 1900 to primer and paint a small houses facia and eves. He wanted 10% down and then 30% after the hose down. Then come back in a few days to sand and patch. I thought it would be too risky to fork over 760$ and then them not coming back. Plz note: I'm not implying he wouldn't come back to complete the work.
