This place is a small unassuming spot. My sister lives nearby and said they always have a lot of traffic, that's a good sign to me. So I went for it. These are some of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. They have lovely attitudes first thing in the morning. They serve regular coffee that you can add your own cream and sugar to. The donuts are always good and fresh. The spinach and feta pastry is amazing! Apple fritters are a hit! Breakfast burritos are just right. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options for breakfast. Parking is very tight but people are in and out pretty fast. And they have a drive thru! read more

Great selection of donuts, kolaches, cakes, and sandwiches. Service was amazing, and the ladies working here were very charitable, good-humored, kind and helpful. Drive by here daily on the way to the skatepark and today I finally decided to stop in on the way home. We got a chocolate frosted donut, a chocolate frosted with sprinkles, a maple frosted cake donut and a chocolate finger or long John. All very delicious!! I've never visited this shop before because it's on the other wide of town from where I live, but today I happened to drive by and it just sounded perfect. I came in 5 minutes before they closed but they didn't mind at all. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and even though it was closing time, my favorite sprinkle donuts were still available! They checked me out and even gave me a complimentary bag of donut holes (which were delicious!). I will definitely have to come back! I got three sprinkle donuts, a bottle of water, milk, and a big sausage/cheese pig-in-a-blanket for $8. Seems like a good deal to me! read more

Great little donut place in Denton with a great little offer on Yelp when you check in..:A free dozen donut holes, just for checking in. Say what????!!!! Sign me up for that! Seriously though, even though I was there late in the day and it was almost closing time, there was a good selection to choose from and the donuts were fresh. I kept it simple in flavors, glazed, because on a first visit I like to go basic and simple to see if a place can get those right, because if they cannot, there is little hope for everything else. Honestly disappointed... I've gone to this place for the better part of 3 years since living in Denton and I have no idea what's going on lately. I got handed COLD pigs in a blanket once, figured I would try again today and it didn't make up for it. Lady at the window was rushing me with absolutely no cars in front/behind me or in the parking lot. Also completely out of glazed everything at 10AM????? I got the 2 donuts I did ask for and they were completely covered in icing, actually very disgusting. Overall, just disappointed with my last 2 experiences and I hope they can get it together or they won't be open much longer. read more

Best apple fritter in Denton, and I've tried them all (yeah, we all need labors of love). Their frits have the perfect amount of apples and it's really crispy, allowing you to tear off one, small nibblet at a time, allowing you to share it (if you're feeling generous). The other stuff at AJ Donuts is pretty good too. The waitstaff has been pretty friendly also. Give their fritters a chance, you deserve it! read more

Great donuts for a good price! They offer lots of variety: glazed, iced, sprinkles, coconut, twists, fritters, and of course, donut holes. The kids loved the plain and chocolate glazed donuts the best, while i was partial to the coconut. Will go again! read more

Service was fast and attentive. Donuts were fresh! I mean still warm. Melt in your mouth! I had glazed and chocolate and a pig in a blanket. So satisfying! Mostly regulars go here and it seems they know that you need to come early to get the best selection. This wasn't my first time and surely not the last. The owner told me they just opened another location called Holey Donuts on Teasley. I'll be checking that out soon too! read more

My son and I go to AJ' s every Friday morning before school. We love the donuts and everyone is super nice that works there.
