    Falafel

I am a big fan of Israeli/Middle Eastern/Arabic cuisine, and to my experience, the food here is average. From hummus to falafel I had here, I felt that they lack the strong seasoning as if the use of spice was intentionally moderated. It is not a negative thing per se, and many people may prefer it that way, but my taste wished they were richer in spice. However, I should say all the food was fresh and was cooked to perfection. For sure, the biggest game changer which made this restaurant distinct to me from its competitors was its warm, freshly-came-out-of-oven bread served with all dishes. The combo appetizer is a must and gives you a great variety of dips as well as salads. Besides the food, the other reason which makes me not to give it full five stars is its service. When we asked for water, our server did not fill all the glasses on the table, only those who asked. She did not leave the tap-water jar either and each time, we had to ask her to refill our glasses.

Really great menu, kosher Israeli food. I've been to many restaurants in Toronto but this is honestly the best one so far. They start your salads, dips, hummus, pickles, egg plant and a giant fresh pita directly from the oven. The food was amazing, the service was great. You won't taste anything similar to this in toronto !! Must try

Israel is a bundle of cultural influences, rooted in the wide-scale convergence of people from different parts of the world. The mid-20th century saw a huge influx of immigrants, from places like the Middle East, who brought with them stuff like pita and rice. That makes Israeli cuisine incredibly important and diverse - in modern days, it becomes a fusion of its residents, but also a culmination of experiences of Jews throughout history. That's not to say that all Israeli food is Arab-influenced. This ignores many of the regional differences too! Large parts of Israeli cuisine is also influenced by Mediterranean, North African, Eastern Europe, and more. Aish Tanoor plainly is in the camp of Middle Eastern Israeli food. It does it well, too. Authenticity aside, the food here is truly tasty, and the portions large. Frankly, the service isn't great - but I can't say that I care, since the food is good enough anyways. A great microcosm of my meal was the start: my meal started with pickled vegetables and olives - two things that I usually don't enjoy eating, because I find they are too salty for my palate. But here, they were salted just right. Big fan of this place. Will be back.

Amazing food and large portions! The laffa comes piping hot to your table and goes perfectly with the various topped hummus that Aish Tanoor serves. I would recommend the mushroom one, it's amazing. The shakshuka in a bread bowl was also amazing but there is no way you could finish everything on that plate in one sitting! They do not serve alcohol, the closest thing is a weird malty beverage that seems to be popular in the Middle East. If you want to order for pickup, don't go through Foodora, the prices are marked up slightly, you can always call for a phone order!

The most authentic Israeli food in the heart of the city. The hummus is stellar, the service is awesome and the place pleasant. I like that everything is very fresh, well priced and healthy. YOU MUST TRY THE SHAKSHUKA IN THE BREAD BOWL! It's a whole new way of eating Shakshuka. It is super filling and a great tasting dish!

Awesome food. And oh don't get me started on the bread. The service was also cheerful and friendly. Highly recommend the Shakshooka. The kebab was out of this world. Of course I had the Israeli salad.

I love this restaurant. Their marinated chicken thigh meat and breast meat are tender and properly marinated. The mains are on the expensive side IMHO, but you know that you're getting a quality meal. I wish their chicken, lamb, and beef weren't just kosher, but organic kosher. These guys know their craft and it shows. You can't go wrong with Aish Tanoor. If you're on the go, I recommend their chicken dark meat sandwich. It's tender and juicy. That's what I usually get when I stop by to grab a sandwich to go.

Delicious food. Large portions. Everything was fresh. Falafel was delicious. Dips were amazing. The French fries were soggy. Very friendly staff. Very nice place but small so there is a bit of a wait time.

They are also very customer centered, sadly a trait missing from other kosher options. For our first visit we sampled mostly from the indo-Chinese menu. The Manchurian stir fry (came with rice) was tasty but could have used a bit more curry. The chicken pad Thai was good but the flavor was not classic pad Thai, more of a tasty Asian brown sauce. We tried the combo Indian appetizers which I think would have been tastier right out of the fryer and blotted a bit more (takeout fried food is always a challenge!) But I still enjoyed the offering I'm looking forward to going back and trying the straight up Indian menu. I'll also take advantage of their weekly FB specials! Such a treat to finally have that option in our city!!

Of particular note is that when I was there, there were a few clients of middle East background. They did not seem to know anything about kosher, and were highly critical of everything and refused to pay. They were clearly trying to agitate. The amazing thing is how the owner treated them with great patience and dignity. I will definitely be going back. Amazing.

Really digging this place! It's by far the best restaurant to order through Ubereats in North York…read more My team ordered from here a second time and, similar to the last time, we all loved our orders! I ordered the pear walnut salad, which is quite highly recommended by others online. As I'm not a fan of cheese, I asked for a substitution of either avocado or grilled mushrooms - and was very pleased to find that they accommodated my request! There were meaty chunks and generous cuts of portobello. In fact, there must have been a whole portobello mushroom there! I also asked for a side of salmon, and received a large filet. My main two complaints about this order are: 1) The walnut brittle was falsely advertised. It was a sweet pumpkin seed mixture, with no walnuts. 2) I found my salmon to be slightly undercooked. It was a little too shockingly pink!

Until my cousin recommended we go there for lunch today. It's a small, casual interior with a busy counter and kitchen in the back. Fresh baked goods don the visual field. The menu has between 20-30 items and cover soups, sandwiches, mains and salads. I ended up ordering one of their quiches and side salads. The salad was fresh with tons of crisp cucumber and tomatoes. Dressing automatically came on the side and was a nice, light vinaigrette. The quiche was also really light and fluffy with a flaky pastry crust. The hot and cold drink menu is extensive and covers pretty much anything you can think of! With various sizes available. I ordered a cappuccino which was hot with a modest amount of soft foam on top. Servers were attentive and did not rush you out. There was a steady stream of customers and I underestimated how busy it would be. Downside: parking is a serious issue. I probably could have walked there in the time it took to circle the block enough times to find a parking spot. Also, pretty loud but nothing compared to its competitor a few blocks south. Price point is reasonable. Restaurant appears clean and again food appears fresh. Definitely worth a try if you're going to be in that area of Bathurst.
