I am giving the company 1 star. If possible, I would give it 0 stars. On November 4, 2025, AIS Installations came to my home to install a fence. It was my third time working with the company. I recognized the installer, Leo, as the person that installed the second fence. This third project was to install a gate, a fence on the side of the house, and a shorter fence along the back. Once completed, I would have an enclosed patio area in my backyard. The job was not finished on the 4th. Leo informed me that he would need to get permission from the city to enclose the back area...that is, to connect the two fences. Leo said that he would contact the city, and then get back to me. Again, this was my THIRD time working with AIS Installations. It was my second time working with Leo. There was the expectation that the installer would be honorable. I didn't hear back from Leo, so I contacted him on November 6th. Leo responded, "As long as I don't have anything on for Saturday I will stop by then should only take 30 minutes." Since that time, I received multiple promises to complete the job, but no follow through. There was access to the backyard. The gate was kept unlocked. If needed, there was also open access from the other side of the house. All month long Leo would promise to come out, but then not show up. I spoke with David, the installation manager on November 14th. He informed me that the job would be completed on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. As of today's date, November 30, 2025, the area still has not been enclosed. Lastly, Leo cut down my neighbor's tree. It was a White Wonder Flowering Dogwood. (I originally thought it was a hydrangea tree.) This was reckless behavior! The tree was clearly on my neighbor's property! Leo's excuse was that it was a weed, and that I gave him permission to cut it down. Both are fabrications. It was a fully grown, tree. Even if it were a weed, it was my NEIGHBOR'S weed. I did not, nor could not, give permission to cut a tree (or a weed) that wasn't mine. If necessary, the fence should have been moved over a few inches. My neighbor came onto my property upset, even though I did not authorize the tree being cut down. To quiet the situation...to diffuse the anger, I paid for the replacement of the tree. AIS Installations management was informed about the tree being cut down, but chose to ignore it. There was no offer of compensation to my neighbor. No apology was given. My recommendation would be to run, run, RUN from this company!! If a 3rd time REPEAT customer is treated in such a poor manner, how can they be trusted? There is a clear lack of integrity and professionalism with AIS Installations. There is no honor here. read more

These guys are very professional and everything goes through Home Depot so I was able to use my Home Depot credit card and get 2 years of interest free financing. My vinyl fence came with a transferable lifetime warranty and a good warranty for the labor. My fence looks great and it was a pretty short wait to have it installed. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a fence. read more

What a horrible experience. I had a substantial amount of flooring installed in June of 2025. I am STILL waiting for resolution from them on the items that need to be addressed/redone. Poor quality of install, it looks horrible. AIS has been to my home three times to resolve the issues I have brought up. Each time they have left WITHOUT doing anything. I highly recommend you find a quality floor installer instead of working with AIS. The extra money spent will be worth it, and I wish I had followed my own advice. They installed my flooring through Home Depot. My friend was they will do a good job. This is worst mistake I have made. i now have pay someone to comeback to finish the job. The trimming looks like a kid did it. I have been told even by the company it is okay by ok it suppose to have gaps. When I take it to other professionals they want to know why the job is not finished. unbelievable. Don't use they! not worth headache. I paid too much for less. read more

I had ordered a privacy fence for my back yard and which AIS had been paid for (Through Home Depot). While I understood that their was rain that would delay the job, I was called and even emailed that the installers would be out in order to finish the job (Three young men) who did not show up half the time. The job was delayed for almost two months and when they did finally finish the job, I was charged an extra $250.00 for them digging the hole for the fence (they claimed it was a root in the ground). I was going to finance the second part which was a bit more but after this I will be putting the fence up myself and buying the wood from Home Depot (something I should have done in the first place). read more

I went to Home Depot to get a quote for fencing. I was contacted by AIS who is the exclusive contractor for all the Home Depot's in the state of Michigan. I was contacted within a couple of days to schedule the free quote. My sales guy came out and measured my yard and even suggested alternative layouts that would save me a few dollars, and emailed a detailed quote the same afternoon. I went with Home Depot because they gave me a fence with a transferable lifetime warranty, relatively quick installation, and I used my Home Depot card for 2 years of interest free financing. The crew that came out was very professional and they even had my whole yard installed within the same day (which I was concerned about because I have dogs). I would not recommend anyone but AIS & the Home Depot for their fencing needs, they were professional through the whole process. read more

Not satisfied. Contacted Home Depot of course because of the name and thought my fencing needs and installation would go smoothly. That hasn't been the case. It started off good. Initial appt for what I wanted and measurements went great. Had to make an adjustment with the installer after work finally got started for an area of fencing I wanted torn down and that agreement went well. Then here comes the real issues. The first appt they didn't complete the job because he said he had to order another gate. Which okay but the majority should have been done at that time. I explained that I was leaving town the following week and the installer assured me he'd be back that Friday early morning to complete the job. Okay, I was good with that. Friday came and went... absolutely no show and no communication. I reached out to the office and manager a few times after I was out of town. Mind you when they left the installers also left fencing material including a gate and post sprawled out in my yard. When I talked with the installation manager I told him of this and he says he would have them come pick the items up. That did not happen! It would be almost 2 weeks before they got back to complete the job. My son had to come place the items neatly near my garage and out of the way so the my lawn man could do his job. I have to say communication with this company is not good at all. I had to call several times before the second part of the job was done and after just to explain the issues. I called today (July 11, 2024) to see when the installers were returning to at least swap the gates and of course no one answers and have not heard back. - 2 old post that were supposed to be removed were not. - Slight unevenness but noticeable bend at corner bar near driveway. - Bottom gap (way to big) at bottom area of fence. You can clearly see there is room to adjust as far down as possible. My lawn guy placed some old bricks underneath to keep my dog from slipping out. - Big gap between neighbors fence and new fencing. There is room to close that gap as much as possible so that it is tight. It looks bad. Again my lawn man placed bricks in that area so that my small dog couldn't easily walk through to the front. - What really got me is the entire fencing had no decoration (ornaments or whatever it's called) on top, except for one gate out of four for the driveway entrance. I'm still trying to figure out how they thought this was okay. And if that was all you had why wasn't the gate with the decor on top placed at the side door entrance and the one without placed to match the other 3 gates at the driveway entrance. That definitely would have made more sense. Installation was done too quickly without any attention to detail. Workmanship poor. Could have been a lot better. Communication very poor. read more

I should have read these reviews before I purchased. Much like others have said, it's been a complete nightmare. They installed my flooring through Home Depot and I now have pay someone to comeback to finish the job. It looks like a child installed it. The installers are unprofessional, cannot speak clear english (so communication is difficult), and very amateur. Save yourself the money and headache, steer clear. read more

The installation team sent by AIS Installations were exceptional and experienced technicians. They were well-trained and knowledgeable. They were able to answer any questions I had during the installation in terms that anyone could understand. Real professionals that made the entire process as easy and stress free as possible. From the very beginning they took the time to explain how and what he needed to do and what areas of the home they needed to be in during the installation. They were down to earth, friendly, approachable, and professional. They were also very efficient and agile which made for a quick and easy installation. And the final project looked amazing. I had a chain link fence removed and a wooden privacy fence installed. Leo and his crew did an excellent job. My whole installation project was handled perfectly from beginning to end. I was informed every step of the way as the project was being completed. Between the people I dealt with at Home Depot to the crew from AIS installations this project was handled quickly and perfectly. I purchased a fence from Home Depot because they had a sale of 10% off. Installers came and said I needed to sign so they can get going. They installed in about an hour. I was not made aware they would leave the mound of dirt for me to clean up. When I checked my sprinklers they tore thru the lines and now I have to get it fixed. When I called the installers AIS they said they are not liable. I spoke with the "manager" and he said there is nothing they can do and was very unprofessional and wouldn't let me get a word in. read more

Wow! What a nightmare thanks to AIS. My wife and I plan for 2 years on our fence. AIS gave us the best estimate coming in at almost $1,000 lower than the rest.. then in the middle of the job let me know that they miss measured our property and we owed almost another $1,000... Wow what a coincidence.. the leader of the installation crew told me it happens all the time and I should not be responsible but here we are trying to haggle with a collection agency.. thanks again guys! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! Would NOT recommend!!!!! David WILL get over and does not care about the integrity of this company. He will laugh at your frustrations. This company has caused so much stress to something I was excited about. I just wanted a nice fence for my dog. my fence was installed 3+ weeks ago. they brought the wrong size gate the day of. i was told they would be back in a couple days to install the correct gate. they returned a few days later to inform me they made a mistake and have to redo the posts to be able to hang my gate. 3 weeks later and i still have no gate. i cant get anyone to communicate or return calls. when i did speak to somebody with the installation team days ago they took absolutely no accountability for their mistakes. i informed of a different section i was not happy with and the person told me to blame the neighbor as to why im not happy with it. They also want to charge me $350 to redo their mistake and informed me that they are giving a "discount". i also stated i am willing to pay the remaining balance owed but they need to make this right and finish their work and i was told that they would just send it over to collections. Really thought that since this was a company through Home depot, they would be a professional company but i was sadly mistaken. Additionally, they have now been ignoring my calls and ive had to have others reach out to get a response. i have now reached out to BBB/ HD corporate & city inspector. This is unacceptable. Flooring is garbage only had it for a few months and all scratched up and broken through my whole house. I had a piece of linoleum in stalled by my back door on a landing and they had 4 guys doing a 5x7 piece and got glue all over it and the steps and the new flooring all through my hallway. Called 4 times to set up p appointment to have repairs done and no one will call back or schedule a repair date. Worst service ever read more

I purchased laminate flooring through Home Depot. I had Leonard from AIS install the flooring, and it looks amazing! His attention to detail and precision are top notch! He was here on time every day and was very friendly and accommodating. Next time I get flooring, I'm going through AIS directly and cutting out Home Depot. i bought laminate flooring and carpet from home depot first of august 2023. they have this stupid company (ais) as an installer for their store. they told me the earliest they could do the installation was wed. aug 23 for the lam. and aug 24 for the carpet. they called mon aug. 21 to see if the time could be bumped up a day. they said the laminate would be installed on tues aug 22 and the carpet wed aug 23. we said great. tues aug 22 came and nobody called, i called them about 10 am she (the manager) said she would get ahold the the installer and have him give me a call, nobody called. i called about 12 pm talked to the same lady. she said (liar, liar) she talked to the installer and he would call me with a time. i called again around 3 pm because i did not hear from anyone. same lady told me that she talked to the installer and he said he did not know he had a job that day. ( get it she told me she talked to him earlier in the day). she now said the earliest that they could do the job is the laminate on friday sept 8 and the carpet on mon 11 sept. the deal was that we go back to fl. in early sep. and the job had to done by the first of sep. i was sooo put out i went back to home depot and took alll of the laminate flooring supplies that they delivered back to home depot ( mind you i just had heart bypass surgry and i am 76 yo} carried all of the boxes of laminate back into the store and canceled the order. these people argued with me all day. read more
