I wanted to share my experience with Airrosti and express my gratitude to Dr. Joey Dietrich and his team. I play a lot of volleyball and unfortunately sustained an injury last season. I felt comfortable with Dr. Dietrich and his team, and I appreciated all the information they provided on how to care for my injury. They went above and beyond by following up to ensure everything was going well and to check if I was experiencing any pain from the injury. I cried after.... Doctor papa's didn't do anything for my neck im in so much pain. Then he dismisses me and says no that's your job to make it better. You're gunna have to come in 4-5 more times. Just told me a bunch of stories and was all over the place and not really pleasant or kind to be around. The other guys in the office were very bro and not very kind either. Didn't like the vibe of the office at all. West lake is way better. I drive all this way for an emergency pain visit and they did nothing to me but give me 3 exercises. I'm crying leaving. Dr. Dietrich and Tanner have been great to work with. Came in with some right knee issues. I was injured 5 months ago in the gym, but the swelling, weakness, soreness, and pain persisted. Particularly bad when I squatted, and noticeable walking up and down the stairs. I ran the Austin Marathon in February, and I have another one coming up next year, so I knew this issue had to be addressed before I started training for that. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to diagnose and fix it, but after the first I didn't have any pain going up and down the stairs. By the second visit, I could do a full squat with no pain. This was after months of stretching, reducing the weights in the gym, and using a massage gun. Very much appreciate the help and quick results at this clinic and will be returning for some rotator cuff issues that another rehab center wasn't able to fix. read more

Dr. Pappas did a great job with my lower leg muscle strain and helping me to be able to start and finish the Houston Marathon in January. I pulled a muscle during speed training just before Christmas. I backed off and thought I was in the clear on 12/30, but I spent New Year's Eve on a cane. It was an absolutely acute pain and 2 weeks before the run. Too late to defer, so sit out or attempt the run? I had to try. I got an appointment at the end of the first week in January and a follow up just before the race. Doctor's orders were to skip any training in hopes that it would be good enough for my goal to finish. I had given up on any competitive hopes of the run and thought it would be miracle enough to start and finish. I showed up to the race corral with a sensation in the strained muscle but no pain. I decided to start and see how far I could go. I was feeling good and ran a somewhat decent pace for the first half of the race. The sun came out some at 13 miles, combined with the humidity and warm temperature that day and couple of weeks without a run, so the competitive level of the run was finished, but I made it across the finish line in a sloppy 4:22. BUT the goal was a miracle finish given hope late the injury occurred. I am very pleased with Dr. Papas's guidance and strategic approach. He kept the possibilities grounded and realistic, but we pressed on for the goal of a marathon start and finish. As Vince Young put it after a sloppy UT win in 2005, " It was ugly, but a W is a W. I love going to see Dr. Pappas because he is so knowledgeable and always helps me recover from an injury or from pain quickly. I've gone to other similar places in Austin, but I always found they weren't as knowledgeable and would get misdiagnosed or they would try to "adjust me" or do anything extra I just didn't need. I've never had to go back for the same injury more than once with Dr. Pappas because he helps the first time. And I appreciate that they also provide physical therapy. I have had upper neck pain on my left side for years. I would go to my regular chiropractor a few times, it would get better, and then it would inevitably come back. Recently, my whole left side of my neck and shoulder really started to bother me. Someone suggested that I go to Airrosti. I was open to an alternate route because regular chiropractic work and massage were not working. My pain was resolved in two visits. I was shocked. The combination of myofacial work and physical therapy seems to have done the trick. I will never go back to my old ways of dealing with soft tissue/chiropractic pain. First thing to know about me; I HATE HATE HATE being touched. So going into this treatment that was recommended by my doctor, I was super nervous. Dr. Pappas put me right at ease, giving me a thorough explanation of every single thing that was being done, how it would feel, and what it was for. He was super kind and respectful of my anxiety, and let me know that I could stop treatment at any time for a break. As if that wasn't good enough, he's basically a sorcerer! I've had chronic back and hip pain for a really long time (on and off since high school), and this is the best I have felt in at least 10 years. I love that I got exercises to do at home to keep my body feeling its best. Service was amazing, therapy was incredibly effective, and Dr. Pappas is a hoot. I am an athlete, I work out twice a day and when I threw out my lower back during a workout I called Dr. Pappas's office for an Arrosti appointment. I had a great experience and the next my pain was reduced by at least 75-80 percent. By day 3 I was completely functional, and I expect to be back to working out as soon as Dr. Pappas oks me. I don't like to read long reviews so I included the highlights in bullet points: -Clean office, with appropriate corona response. -Efficient, I was in and out at my scheduled time - Knowledgeable, Dr. Pappas did a thorough assessment and explained why I was experiencing pain. He explained what happened, what parts of my body were affected and what moves I should avoid during the healing process. As an athlete this is important because if I didn't have a complete understanding I would have pushed through the pain.  -He assigned me comprehensive physical therapy, and put together a treatment plan that included homework and additional visits to address why I threw out my back, instead of just fixing the issue -His office staff was friendly and accommodating - Scheduling was a breeze and he has an automated text message to remind you about appointments, huge plus I highly recommend! read more

If you suffer from occasional lower back pain, look nowhere else. For several years now I have had lower back pain that comes and goes, maybe 3-4 times per year. Often triggered by lifting something, and then it lasts for 10-14 days making me walk hunched over like an old man. The day after my most recent bout started, a friend referred me to Airrosti and I was able to get an appointment the next day. Dr Pappas diagnosed a lumbar sprain and I was treated with hands on therapy (like deep tissue massage) and some physical therapy exercises. After one session my pain was down about 70% and I walked upright out of there. After three sessions the pain was gone completely. Dr Pappas and the crew also gave me exercises to continue strengthening my back to make a recurrence less likely, and good tips on lifting to avoid injuries. Highly recommended! read more

Dr. Pappas and staff were both extremely helpful, and eager to help me resolve a lingering shoulder issue that began after a particularly aggressive disc golf shot several years ago. I finally went to the Doctor to figure out what was going wrong with me because I was tired of the pain, but was both scared to find out more and convinced that I was permanently broken. My GP referred me to Airrosti because insurance won't pay for an MRI before doing the legwork to be sure it's required. Cut to, 3 weeks later: My shoulder pain is reduced to about 10% of what it was, and even then what's left only shows up in certain angles, meaning that I just have to actually do the work to fix myself now. Dr. Pappas and crew gave me a new lease in that sense, because I thought surgery was required. It wasn't, and I'm embarrassed that it took me this long to go and do something about it. I could've avoided a lot of pain and self-confidence issues if I'd dealt with it sooner, which leads me to believe that the bigger problem in self care is ourselves. I guess the long and short is learn from my mistake, listen to your body, and ignore the fear. It's possible your pain is curable and you're doing yourself and others a disservice by not taking care of the problem. I've referred coworkers already, and I'm extremely impressed not only with the care they provided, but the results. I can only wish that for your own sake you do what needs to be done. They are extremely understanding when it comes to cost as well which is to say that I second the other reviewer in proclaiming that they try their best not to take advantage of folk. Ultimately I'm a fanboy of Airrosti, and I couldn't be more proud to call myself that. Price wise it was expensive for me (insurance wouldn't cover it), but I'm not sure that I can put a price on the renewed sense of durability that I have for my own body, or the confidence I got from knowing that I'm not broken. As everyone has already said, if I hadn't gone through this I wouldn't believe this would work so quickly. I have had chronic shoulder pain for about 5 years. I have seen specialists, gotten X-rays, MRI's, Physical Therapy, Chiro, Personal Training, and Acupuncture...all of which DID NOT WORK. No one could give me an answer why my shoulder was always at a level 8 pain 80% of the time. (it would get worse and lighten up off and on) Anyways, Dr.Pappas diagnosed it my first visit with ease. He asked questions to connect my history to my pain, and was able to figure it out! He's always very thorough, I never feel rushed, asks the right questions, and is extremely professional (and personable!). I am happy to report that my shoulder has not hurt since about the third visit with him. I am still in shock that it has been diagnosed and I am out of pain. I thought I was going to always have shoulder pain. Okay this is very long, but lastly I also like how they have a "rehab specialist" where basically they go over what corrective exercises to do in order to treat your pain/ injury. They're always very detailed, and they send you the exercises through a portal w/ videos in case you forget them. I cannot recommend Dr. Pappas and his team enough! read more

Dr. Pappas has helped me twice. First time, I'd tweaked a muscle in my back. After months of ignoring it, I finally was recommended Airrosti by friends. Within four treatments, my back issue was resolved. I most recently saw him regarding pain in my hip. He was able to resolve about 75-80%. Felt great after treatment but pain kept creeping back in lesser degrees. My lingering issues are more likely stress related (selling & buying a house and planning big events at work all at the same time). He didn't push me to keep coming. We agreed on my 5th visit I should continue my at home exercises (which do give me relief for several hours to a day) with the intention of it hopefully resolving once the stressors in my life are done. If continue to have issues in 3-6 weeks, I'd call him. The front desk staff was also nice. There is an online portal that gave me price quotes based on my insurance before my first visit. While I hope to not need to see Dr. Pappas again, should the need arise I will not hesitate to call. read more

Happy Holidays, guys :-) I posted a rave review on the actual day of my one and only Airrosti appointment (basically that I could already feel the difference in my hip) and that I'd follow up the next month or so with an update... well it's been a few months (maybe five or six?) but better late than never... You reminded me with your birthday greeting :-) Guys...thanks to you I kid you not, my hip is healed. I am able to rotate my hips while standing finally full 360 both directions simply being disciplined enough to follow your daily instructions....I did the exercises pretty much everyday (quality not quantity...just 5 mins a day). There are no words, but I love you and happy holidays...you may just have saved me many thousand dollars on a future hip replacement simply by being in the know of what muscles I had been leaving off my exercise radar. :-) read more

If I hadn't experienced it, I wouldn't believe it! Amazing experience! For 9 weeks I had been suffering from severe lower back pain caused by a workout injury. I sought treatment from my physician, a chiropractor, a physical therapist and a massage therapist. None of the treatments seemed to offer any significant or long-lasting relief. Lack of sleep, medications, constant pain - I was exhausted and fed up. So I caved and saw a pain specialist to schedule 4 lower facet injections. It was going to cost me $1000. More medications were not an option for me and this seemed to be the only choice I had left...until my mom mentioned Airrosti. I was confused at first. What is Airrosti? My mom had told me about her physical therapy and I had already tried this without significant results. She said Airrosti was different and I should look into it. Better late than never mom! lol I looked up Airrosti online, requested an appointment from their portal and was in Dr. Pappas' office that same afternoon! I had to wait 2 weeks to see the pain specialist and he spent 5 minutes with me! Dr. Pappas started our appointment with a very thorough assessment of my health history and the story of my pain. He then proceeded to check my mobility and level of pain in various positions. I won't lie, tears welled up in my eyes. This severe pain had become my life. But Dr. Pappas said he was confident he could help me and asked if I'd like my first treatment. I had nothing to lose but a copay so we proceeded. He started with hand on therapy, similar to trigger point or myofascial therapy. It wasn't comfortable but not painful and I had hope for a natural option. After an hour of a very personalized, patient-centered appointment, I walked out of his office in awe. I was able to touch my toes again without tears. The pain had gone from a 7 to about a 4 in one hour. I returned to my office and cancelled my injections scheduled for the next day. Dr. Pappas emailed me my treatment plan and the exercises he taught me during our session and I continued daily on my own until our next session. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! I knew I had to put forth effort to heal myself as Dr. Pappas instructed. Otherwise there was no point. He couldn't heal me alone. I initially scheduled a total of 6 sessions for treatment but I was done after only 4!! Within 2 weeks Dr. Pappas and the Airrosti treatments changed my constant sharp pain into a very minor almost non-existent dull ache. I still can't believe I can get out of bed in the morning without cringing (shrieking, crying...) I also now have the tools to continue to improve my health on my own. I was suffering with multiple diagnosis on my shoulder, and was 50/50 on weather PT or surgery was going to solve my problems. I was leaning towards surgery. What a surprise after my 5th, visit I knew I was going to recover without surgery. I had been to PT in the past with other providers and wasn't impressed,I sat in the corner and did my own rehab and had to follow the routine at home. Airrosti worked with me one on one and took the time to do a complete evaluation each time and change the approach as needed. I was referred to Dr. Pappas for bicep pain. He assessed my range of motion and explained what my problem was while showing me the areas on anatomical posters. He then applied pressure on the joint. Its almost as if they're using some kind of voodoo magic here... I say that because I came in to them with extreme shooting pain in up and down my arm and shoulder with almost 70% loss of mobility. Dr. Pappas evaluated me and came to the conclusion I was suffering from two separate issues and set a course of PT. He was very upfront that the process would take awhile and may infect be a bit painful to work through. Amazingly, I saw a bit of improvement after the very first visit and almost a full recovery in 6 visits... much less time than he predicted. I'd been told I needed 6-8 weeks of PT. A friend suggested Airrosti instead and I'm so glad I did this instead. Dr. Pappas had me seeing significant improvement at the end of the first visit. Treatment plan continued to result in daily improvements and if something wasn't quite working, they adjusted it immediately to be a better fit. So impressed--I was done with treatment in 5 visits. I've known Dr Pappas for about 7 years now. I met him while he was dontating his time doing a running/exercise seminar at a running shoe store. Shortly after meeting Dr. Pappas, I started training for my first full Marathon and I started having some problems with my back (previous L5 back surgery). Dr. Dino worked with me and I accomplished my goal. I'd like to mention that I am 57 years old.. these races I feel are something I should have done in my 20's but it was not in my life's plan to be that way. So they are now.. in much older years for me. Last year (after 7 full marathons) I started training for my first Half Ironman. I began having some issues with numbness in my arms and hands because of swimming. I went to Dr Dino and a few weeks later I was back on track. I finished my Half Iron distance last year. This year I am training for my first, one and only, full Ironman distance. But Dr. Dino has moved to Austin. When I found out he was moving I was devastated.. I was losing someone who has been instrumental in keeping me on track for the impossible physical endeavors that I train for. Austin, you are gaining someone who is extremely talented and knowing of body mechanics, exercise, chiropractic care and more. The thing I value most about Dr. Dino is that he doesn't just do work in the office and send you home.. he sends you home with tools that you can use to help yourself.. exercises.
