After everything was confirmed, I received a message about complications with the insurance. I tried calling to speak with the nurse to get everything rectified, but she was in a procedure. So, I was stuck talking to the front office. All to say, one told me that we were out of coverage. I asked about the secondary insurance, and she said we can't bill them because of the primary. I then said that I would pay out of pocket because I didn't wan to see my husband in pain. She told me that they cancelled the appointment. After voicing my concern, she placed her office manager on the phone. This lady was rude and unprofessional. She totally contradicted what the other lady told me. She told me that my husband was not covered. I tried asking her questions, but she continued to cut me off because she didn't appear to want any questions or to hear from me. After cutting me off several times, I asked her not to because that was not aligned to quality customer service. She then told me that I didn't have good manners, told me that the conversation was over, and hung up in my face. Maybe this was a blessing because I wouldn't want to entrust my husband's care to anyone who allows this type of treatment to individuals in chronic pain. I'm…read moreusing free wi-fi, have access to free snacks, coffee and water and have already had several updates on her condition during the 2.5 hour surgery thanks to the pager they provide you when you are in the building (they call your cell phone if you leave). I've spent a lot of time in hospitals having my own parts fixed and waiting around for others to have procedures done - typically it's a crapshoot on when you'll get officially checked in, who will administer your anesthesia or when you'll be able to find out anything about the patient. Not today - the anesthesiologist called the gf last night to confirm her allergies. We were told to be ready to be checked in at 7:30 this morning (they had her dressed and her IV set by 7:35). Her surgery was supposed to last 2.5 hours and I just got word (at exactly 11:30) she's been wheeled to recovery. They had her permits for a handicap placard ready for me to take to the DMV as soon as they took her in to surgery as well - to say this has been a monster success so far would be one hell of an understatement. Of course I'll hold off on five stars until I've been a patient up here, but for now I couldn't be happier with the treatment she and I both have experienced. Bravo, Baylor - as a Bear, I'm pretty pleased right now.

I asked if I was supposed to endure the pain until Wednesday and the rude woman responded with "Let me finish" In her finish she did not ask about the pain nor suggest anything for it. If you want help with your back problems it will be when they get around to it. FYI, by late Thursday, the day of my call, I could not walk for the pain.

So after driving 45 mins on toll roads from Fort Worth to Plano, I fell victim to some random "policy" that I wasn't aware of because they don't notify their patients. Several calls later and I'm still getting the runaround of "it will take 24-48 hrs for this to processes" only to call back and have to start from scratch because what I was promised would happen on the previous call did not. It's just not worth the time and hassle when there are other companies that do it right from start to finish.
