I decided a few days prior, I wanted to stay an extra night. They were able to message me and informed me I could book another reservation for the additional night and they would make sure I stayed in the same room without having to check out, which they did. Upon check in, you enter the lobby which has a large variety of seating and a bar. They do have a happy hour menu which I thought was great. They do also offer complimentary breakfast in the morning. It looked pretty popular by the amount of guests that would pop in for breakfast. The room itself was clean, spacious and I loved the whole kitchenette. They have a a small gym that is available 24 hours, and a pool. Parking is $28 per night, but given that you are literally central to everything, I didnt mind it at all. Usually in the mornings you hear vacuums going and the commotion of room cleaning going on, which can make it hard to sleep. I didnt hear a thing! I also love that you need your room key to enter the main entrance at night. Just a bonus security feature. Everything about my stay was great. I would most definitely come back!

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel, and I've seen this with some of the other newer Hyatt House and Hyatt Place locations, they do NOT have in room safes. Breakfast was great. We saw a lot of people getting upset because they showed up at 9:30am and breakfast was closed; they clearly tell you the times at check-in, so people need to chill. Great complimentary food and coffee.

The hotel is pet friendly (huge plus for us because we had our dog), super clean, modern, and the room was exactly what we needed. The location was safe and convenient for our trip and we loved that there were great outdoor walking areas nearby for our dog. Really impressed by the hospitality and service here. We'll definitely be choosing Hyatt again for future travels!

I decided to check-in to the Hyatt Regency on my way to Mexico and I use my points to book this day. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the front desk perception and was offered a variety of complementary items, such as slippers, shaving kit, extra pillows, extra blankets, rollaway bed. I didn't need any of them, but I took them up on the shaving kit offer. The restrooms were fully stocked with towels and toiletries. felt completely comfortable bathing here. Few pieces of important info: * There is no complementary breakfast. It's made to order but is open from 6 am till 11 am. Room deliver is available. * the parking isn't free. Seems to be a theme with SoCal hotels. It was $40 per night or $47 for valet parking. Great stay! Probably the best I've had in SoCal. I'd support your decision to stay here.

Bed was comfortable, and there was a big shower with great water pressure and a nice couch and a big full length mirror. The hotel had a small pool and jacuzzi along with a lounge and bar/restaurant. We enjoyed our short stay and would be happy to stay there again!

There were pricier locations closer to where I needed to meet, but this Doubletree was close enough to be a short drive, affordable for my budget, and extremely high-class for a "mid-range" hotel. I did have to navigate even the short trip to and from the venue each day, but this is a reflection on Irvine's layout, not the hotel, which was fairly easy to find even in the dark. The parking lot seemed secure and well-lit, there were plenty of luggage carts, and the staff was amazing at all hours! I also appreciated their wide stairwells at the end of each hallway (elevators are smooth and centrally located, but I prefer the stairs when I'm empty-handed) and their spacious, well-appointed exercise room, which is open 24-hours to a room keycard. While I didn't get the name of the helpful clerk at the Blend Café Market (24-hour food, drink, and accoutrement shopping in the lobby), I did note Gilbert, my server at the in-house restaurant, who prepared my order with care and panache, and whose curiosity about my stay and my reason for traveling here began as reserved politeness, but warmed gently into friendly conversation when I opened that door for a minute. The giant breakfast burrito and fruit juice I ordered were terrific, and Gilbert made my morning stop a welcome experience, and not just a meal. Even more helpful was Denise at the front desk. Denise answered a slew of questions for me on the night I checked in (it was my first time at this Doubletree and in Irvine), and she made me feel like a longtime guest returning "home" after renovations, and not a first-time visitor who hadn't traveled anywhere for business in a while. I had more questions (and already a few compliments) the next night, and I sought her out again after her extraordinary service upon arrival. She was, if anything, even more helpful that time, and I requested her name to include in this review, as well as thanking her personally for all she did for me during my stay. Denise is an absolute treasure, and I hope the Doubletree management recognizes her the way she makes every guest feel seen, heard, and valued, too. In short, this was a wonderful experience, and I will certainly stay here the next time I come to Irvine for any reason!

The hotel is very modern, minimalist with beautifully decorated room, large showers, lots of towels and amenities. A group breakfast buffet is served in the mornings, so if you're hungry get there when they open (7am?) eggs made to order fruits, muffins, coffee. I found the 3rd floor pool very nice for dipping in, great for getting afternoon sun!

It would seem most of the customers who stay here are business folks, who seem generally quiet, but it's the families that are traveling (for vacation or sports) that are hella loud and will keep you up at night. The location is convenient as far as proximity goes, but the immediate surrounding area is not the greatest for views. You are surrounded by all these industrious/chemical companies (Lubrication Scientifics is across the street, I think I saw Mitsubishi Chemical Group down the road too). You really don't get that beautiful Irvine/OC view from this place. You do feel like you're in Fresno or Bakersfield, or that area in Fremont, CA near the Tesla Factory. These rooms are suites with a kitchenette, it's not as spacious as Homewood Suites by Hilton but it's decently sized. The complimentary breakfast has been one of the better ones I've experienced at a regular hotel. They make fresh eggs to order which is wonderful (I've found most regular hotels generally don't and have scrambled eggs or premade omelettes), as well as fresh pancakes too. They have juices, coffees, and a self serve espresso machine (which was broken like 70% of my visit though it's not a great machine it starts breaking after like the 5th consecutive drink made from what I saw). The location, albeit not a looker, is very convenient traveling-wise. John Wayne is just down the street, so is Diamond Jamboree and Tustin District. The staff was pretty good, generally no complaints. I couldn't get an early check in but that was not their fault and more about just the timing and how booked they were which is understandable. You can check in your bags in the meantime. Would I stay again? Only if I could be guaranteed I wouldn't have noisy neighbors. They ought to really relook at the sound dampening of the building. Not that it's an easy task to do, but it really did lower my experience here. The walls and ceilings seem pretty hollow, I could hear so much.
