Bought a commercial freezer that was over $3,000 and from the time I got it, water dripped from the ceiling and froze all over everything. They sent out a repairman who was as nice as can be. He leveled the freezer and charged me $296. Not a problem but the dripping water was not fixed. Company was nice and sent same repairman out..... 3 more times! It is still not repaired and now they don't return my calls or emails. The last time they came out the same repairman installed a warranty part.... a probe that goes down the drainage tube to defrost the freezer. The mfg said the original wasn't long enough and causing the drainage tube to freeze. Problem... replacement part was exactly the same as the one that wasn't long enough. I've called them probably 20 times and I'm COMPLETELY IGNORED!!!! Now I'm sending a copy of this to True Manufacturing so they can know how their warranty dealers treat customers. My one year old Fredrich Air Conditioner/Heater died. I had purchased the extended warranty and they contracted with AirPlus. It took a while - mostly ordering parts - and three visits, but the unit is back in business. The Airplus technician, Nelson, was professional and very easy to work with. I will use them again. I was a little perplexed by the difficulty in navigating their telephone system. There were times when I had to hold on, in queue, for a while and then was sent to voicemail to leave a message because nobody was available. There is little point to forcing somebody to wait in order to leave a voice message. If nobody can answer in the first place - then send the caller to Voicemail without making them hold. I guess this sounds minor, but in any case, it did cause minor frustration. read more

Our 2 year old ice machine from Manitowoc was constantly breaking down and giving us problems from when it was first installed. Luckily it was still under warranty. But, the constant breaking down was getting frustrating. Maybe it was the incompetence of previous tecnicians. Nevertheless, finally I called Nick @Airplus. He came the next day as promised, which is rare for technicians since they are so busy, and did the warranty work on my ice machine. His professionalism with his work is outstanding. He tells you like it is. "This is the problem and this is how you fix it", type of guy. I haven't had a problem yet since his visit. Almost 35% of this company's reviews are 1 STAR. Wow. I wish I'd seen the 7 OTHER 1 STAR REVIEWS for this company, now 8 with mine added. Bummer. Let me tell you how this company operates. First off, the only reason I used them is because my refrigerator was under warranty, and the manufacture uses this company for repairs. Because of that, I did not do my normal research. So they repaired my fridge under warranty. So far so good. But within a week, I noticed there was water dripping inside. So I called back and told them, and they came back within a couple weeks, and they looked at the fridge, but did nothing more, saying it was not dripping. But the dripping continued, and I called them back. So they came back and again, did nothing, saying there was no problem. I was disappointed, but figured I'd get another opinion. Then, I see on my phone, a $209 charge from Air Plus Refrigeration. I call to remind them this was a warranty repair. Now here is when things went very wrong. The woman who answers the phone tells me the service call to look at the dripping water is not covered under warranty. So I said, but wait. You guys did the warranty repair and only after that did the refrigerator drip water inside, so it was not repaired properly. Please check your records and see that you guys were here like, under a month ago. She says yes I see that but my supervisor says it is not covered. I say how can that be? The dripping was a result of the repair, and it was only a few weeks ago. Please look at your records again, PLEASE. You guys were JUST HERE. And it goes on like that, back and forth. But she says, nope, her supervisor says it's not covered. I now owe $209. Can you imagine how wrong this felt. So she hands me over to 'the supervisor' whose name is FERNANDO. As soon as I hear this guy's voice, I know I'm in trouble. He is already in a bad mood, you can feel that, not at all interested to know my side. He calls my service call a 'nuisance call'. It was crazy to hear that. So I say, uhh, isn't this a nuisance to ME? Because you did not repair it correctly? And now I'm getting ripped off by you for $209? He says, your fridge needs some part. I say, why did you not repair it with that part when you came here the first time, so recently?? He has no answer for this. Things got heated. He says no way is he refunding the $209, and I feel he took pleasure in denying me a refund. He has that kind of disgruntled manner. He spoke in a confrontational and disrespectful manner, but most shocking was the utter absence of any gratitude whatsoever for my business, and absolute zero concern about professionalism or caring customer service. Not to mention just plain admitting this was wrong. After reading the other 1 star that make up almost 35% of this company's reviews (!), I just feel straight up swindled. If they were going to charge me a huge amount like that for a 'visit' where they did nothing, and it wasn't covered under warranty (somehow?) they could have told me first, hey, this visit will be $209. But no. And finally (here's the kicker) I said, I need to talk to whoever the boss or owner is, and Fernando says, --get this--HE IS THE OWNER. 'Nuff said. This is a toxic person running a toxic, cheating company. Please let my mistake be your lesson. AVOID. read more

They would not honor their warranty on service, accused us of tampering with the machine and then forged our signature on an unauthorized invoice that was two months old after the technician told us it was covered under a warranty. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! OUSTANDING COMPANY!!!!!! I have been using Airplus refigeration for years. They work on the AC and do routine checkups. I can honestly say they have continuously done an outstanding job. From the moment I call to the time they finish the job. They have always looked out for me and helped find solutions that best suit my finances. What's truly amazing is, since using them, the AC actually works better than it ever has!!!! Now, I have read some of the negative reviews on here and I have to believe that the people leaving these negative reviews are just those types of people that are negative about everything and impossible to please. One word. FANTASTIC! I own a business in South Orange County and I am dependent on refrigeration (and a lot of it!). I have struggled in the past with companies that didn't do what they said or that would stick it to us. I have now used Airplus multiple times and they answer the phone with a smile and service that is hard to beat. Then they actually do what they say! They show up on time and send people that know what they are doing. They have us up and running fast and the service beginning to end is fantastic. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET. I have a bar in DTLA and our beer coolers are under a 5 year warranty with this company. I called in yesterday to have a service call for a cool that was warm. They demanded a credit card which they already had on file... we emailed them a new form with the cc info on it and they schedule an apt. for today at 2pm... nobody shows up so I call at 3pm and speak with Cammile who at first had no clue and seemed clueless about the appointment... they she finds our info and says I have to have my partner call in and give the credit card # over the phone and not email. He calls to do so and also ask WHY they can't accept the credit card form they sent to us which we filled out and then EDVEE the owner tells him he will NOT service us and to find a new repair place... I called EDVEE back to find out what is the problem and why he will not service our product under warranty and he says I don't like how your partner spoke to me and now he says why don't you and your partners go fuck yourself !!! What a gem this company is! On one of the hottest days of the summer, our AC went out. Unbearable. We placed a call in the am and we had a knowledgeable repairman out at our house within a few hours! I would give this company zero stars if I could. Agree it is the worst customer service on the planet. They will only guarantee an appointment if you make your appointment at 6:30am or 7am. This essentially means they only do one appointment a day. They came out 9 months ago to fix my company's ice machine and it took multiple appointments to get them to come out. They did not do a good job because it is broken again. They have simply not shown up twice, and when I called (admittedly frustrated) about this situation, they just told me to go elsewhere and hung up (twice). So now I will pay someone else to come out and fix their shoddy work. I almost never write reviews, good or bad, because I am pretty easy going. Called them as they were listed as the only authorized dealer, in my area, of a fairly expensive wine refrigerator that I own. Asked for a proposal based on technical information I received from the manufacturer tech (electronic control boards), mind you they did this per my request, not having the opportunity to diagnose themselves. That being said, the proposal came back after 1 week, with the parts marked-up 100%. I called the manufacturer to verify the price, and it was exactly half (down to the dollar), of what I received in the proposal. Not cool... Ended up ordering the part myself, and will attempt to be an electronic technician, hopefully saving myself close to $1,000 (parts and labor). read more

Be wary of these guys, they will charge you two hours labor to do a 45 minute job.

I thought I had found a company that I could rely on, not so much. After telling me they would have someone out on Friday, that never happened, then on Monday between 7-8am, that never happened, then I called and they apologized and said someone would be there in 2 hours between 10am-12noon, that never happened. Then I called again and they said they would have someone out by 4pm. I then received an email about an hour later asking me to send pictures - the whole reason I set up the call in the first place was to have someone come out and tell me what I needed....I even agreed to pay for that even though other companies do that for free. Really really disappointed in the customer service and I just cannot do business with people or a company that finds that acceptable. read more

I called Airplus to come out to one of my gas station locations and help resolve an issue with our ice machine. The first issue I had was that the gentleman that came in came three weeks too late. I had made the call three weeks prior to his entrance. Second, He came in automatically requesting payment on a service he had not yet completed. VERY UNPROFFESIONAL!! Worse Service ever we been using this company for a while. I call them up on Wednesday and schedule for a visit on Thursday, 4 o'clock on Thursday no one is here I call and I'm told my credit card was expired and I had to pay overtime if someone came out that day .Company didn't even have the decency of calling me to let me know I looked at my records credit card they have on record is still valid, I get a call back from Mr. Nick apologizing saying the girl is new blah blah he reschedules me for Friday and apologizes once again . Its about to be 4 o clock today on Friday and no one came once again so I call again, this time Nick picks up and says "ITS NOT HAPPENING TODAY" I asked him why didn't anyone call me once again? all he said was sorry and that he was short staffed. I told him I needed someone asap as the heat is rising and our employees need it he had the nerve to ask me :If I cant go buy ice myself??" he said "what can I do things happen I can book someone for the third time who knows maybe third time is the charm" those were his exact words I understand stuff happens but not 1 call from them to notify us both times to let us know no one would make it out. At the end he said well what do you want me to do?? You should just call someone else and get it fixed. We asked to speak to a manager/owner and were told no one was available. My A/C just stopped working on the hottest day in August. I called AirPlus and their technician was at my house within an hour. Luckily, it was a small electrical problem, but the technician didn't have the right part. He drove to the store and was back to replace the part. The unit was up and running as promised. What a wonderful business. My A/C broke on a 108 degree day so I gave Airplus a call. They got back to me and fit me in and were at my home the very next day at 7am. Two professional, polite young men located the problem explained the problem, got my ok and not only fixed my A/C but serviced it and put in a new filter for me. The best was they could have ripped me off but they were not only honest but the price was more than fair. I think it's sad to be surprised at getting such good service.
