There are very few companies in the area that rebuild chimney covers. Runyon came out to provide an estimate quickly, and was able to get materials and fix the chimney cover quickly as well. The new one has a drip edge and rubber top and is sided on the side. It is a quality product that looks like it will last a very long time! The most impressive thing though was the professionalism and thoroughness of their crew. The person who came out to do the work was careful not to disturb the neighbor's yard (as my chimney is in her courtyard). They cleaned up everything. And inspected the entire roof while they were here. Any minor issues with nails and caulk or sealant were taken care of -- unfortunately many do not realize that a roof needs regular maintenance for these things -- especially in NE Ohio. They were polite and thorough and it was just an overall GREAT company to work with!

Not only did their crew damage my concrete driveway during the job, but the actual roofing work was completely botched. They skipped critical steps--they never laid down plywood decking like professional roofers do, and instead threw synthetic underlayment over the old boards. Now, the underlayment is "sweating" out the boards, trapping moisture, and causing the wood in my garage to rot and break apart under massive layers of white mold.Furthermore, the gutters were never installed correctly. They leak constantly, accelerating the rot underneath. The garage is now unlivable--sweltering hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. Worst of all, this same moisture damage is now starting to impact my main home. They also failed to provide the before-and-after photos they explicitly promised. They cut corners, ruined my property, and refused to stand by their work. Save your money and your home by going anywhere else.

They very quickly scheduled us in even though it was cold outside and in the holiday season. Everyone was very pleasant to talk with and the entire project for the more contemporary replacement windows was done within two days. The new black vinyl windows look very nice from the inside and outside and we can already tell that drafts are minimized in the house because of the new windows. The windows they suggested have helped to "elevate" the outside appeal of our 140-yr-old gambrel-roofed house, while not detracting from the vintage style of the house.
