OK, I'll try to break this down as simply as possible. I did so much research before finally picking Airlines Parking, and as you can see, I'm very happy with my choice. I've never left my car at the airport before, so I was very nervous about it, but it worked out great.
I was going on a 5-day trip, and usually I get a ride to the airport, but I couldn't this time. I thought about leaving my car at the airport, but I wanted to save a few bucks. 5 days here cost me $50, which is reasonable. I booked online- I knew I could get a AAA discount if I show my card in person, but it comes out to just about the same price if you book online in advance.
If you do your research on any of the parking options, you're always going to find people that had horrible experiences. Same with airlines- people typically go online to review if they had a horrible experience. That's going to happen everywhere. It seemed that Airlines Parking had the fewest horrible experiences, however.
Anyway, I had to get to the airport for a 7am flight. That's early. I didn't want to get there stupid early, so I wanted to find a parking option that seemed to have consistent shuttles so we didn't have to actually get there 2.5 hours early (which they suggest). I arrived around 5:45am, and when I pulled up, I was told to follow the yellow shuttle, which proceeded to drive me to the first empty spot. I was so surprised and happy with this so I didn't need to scramble. Literally got out of my car and into the shuttle. We waited for 5 minutes for a couple more people to hop on, then headed right to the airport, which took about 5 minutes. We were dropped right with the rental car shuttles, which is an area I was very familiar with. Totally painless!
My returning flight landed at midnight, and again, I did not want to have to wait for a shuttle that late at night. I headed over to the shuttle pickup, and there were multiple yellow shuttles waiting there. When you leave your car, they give you a ticket with your zone. I told the driver where my car was, and I was dropped off directly next to my car. That was perfect, because I didn't want to be wandering around at 12:30am in an unfamiliar area. Got right into my car, headed to the cashier, and handed her my ticket that I got when I arrived along with my confirmation since I paid online. And that was it, I was on my way!
Like I said, people will always have horror stories, but this was totally painless. Pay online and print your confirmation, and you'll be all set to get in and out quickly. I'll use them again if I need to leave my car, for sure! read more
