Stay away from Air trip maker company. They have sold us a ticket, one portion of which just got canceled by the Airlines. We have only few days in between. Calling Air Trip Maker from that time at least fifteen times to get a replacement or alternative ticket but they are not doing anything. The phone attendant is saying we will notify you in 2 hours, which by the way is at least 48 hours ago. Not sure what we will do when we will reach Delhi Airport from where the other leg Delhi to Kolkata trip is cancelled. Hopefully this review will wake up the Manager in charge who is sitting at home and doing nothing. Stay Away from this company. read more

They are good when booking the ticket. But the trouble starts when you try to change the dates. When I contacted Delta for a date change they said there will not be any price difference, but as it is booked through agent they can only modify it. When I contacted the agent, they said it will cost me $699. I have explained my discussion with Delta and they said it is concession fare etc., As I needed the change I agreed to pay $499 as they explained that it is airlines charging. When I got the credit card bill I have noticed that Delta charged $129 and these guys charged $369. When I questioned the same they said all the remaining were taxes. I said when the airline already charging me the taxes, why again. They sent me a detailed bill. To my surprise they list all the taxes exactly what airline has charged. Funny part is, in a hurry to adjust the amount they showed "United States - Immigration and Naturalization Fee(Immigration User Fee) as $114.96". This fee was supposed to be $7.00 as per the "Amendments to the Immigration and Nationality Act. 8 U.S.C. 1356, passed in 1986" . https://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/carriers/air-sea-passenger-user-fees-railroad-car-fee That is when they got caught red handed. I have requested for the refund for $319 (After $50 their fee). Since then they say it is final. They have changed the "United States - September 11th Security Fee(Passenger Civil Aviation Security Service Fee) (AY) $5.60 USD" as "United States - March 01th Security Fee(Passenger Civil Aviation Security Service Fee) (AY) $5.60", thinking that it is travel date and they even forgot to change "th" to "st". What a shame. Hope they will refund my money back. Only reason I gave 2 stars was for the help in supporting when the airline was not showing my reservation, I waited at the airport for 2 hours to get that corrected. I am using Air Trip Maker for last 5-6 years but I was surprised to see how they are treating me for flights I booked before pandemic. Flights got cancelled, travel restrictions and they are not ready to refund my money. I am asking them for other options like air line credits, or extend time beyond 2 yrs or give me different route. The answer is always same, no it is not possible. These are airline policies and this ticket can not be changed. When I talked to airline directly, they confirmed that during this situation they have changed their policies and are more flexible and it is totally up to the agent now. I think they are fraud and should not be trusted at all. One of their agent did email me other options, but her manager came and said it is not permitted. I see some more customers with similar feedback. We need to find some legal way to take some action on this monopoly. read more

They charged me a change fee for my daughter's return, but all they did was CANCEL her return ticket!! The agent "forgot" to BOOK the return ticket. What ever deals they mention are just for marketing stunt and there are lot of terms and conditions attached to it. Moreover if due to any reason your credit card gets declined then they charge you $17 which is ridiculous. Its there duty too to check the card details before sending them to the airlines. We booked our tickets (total 4 tickets) with Air Trip Maker on Oct 11th, 2021. The trip was schedule for Dec 10, 2021 - Jan 4, 2022. We paid $1399 per ticket (i.e $5596 total). The ticket booked was with American Airlines. Our son got Covid on Dec 08th and we had to cancel the trip. I paid $200 to Air Trip Maker on Dec 09th, 2021 so that they can keep my ticket open and I can reschedule it. After the payment of $200 I was told the ticket should be valid for 1 year from the ticket booking date (i.e Oct 11th, 2021) and within 1 year I can use my open ticket for the trip to India. I have been following up with Air Trip Maker and its been 6 months already and they are not able to re-issue ticket for me and my family. As per their latest communication, they told me I had to pay the difference of $1995 per ticket (i.e $7980 for 4 tickets) for them to re-issue my ticket or they can give me new ticket (without reissuing my old ticket for $1695 per ticket (i.e $6780 for 4 tickets). They are not able to explain what happened to $5596 I paid in Oct 2021 and why I cannot use these funds for my tickets to India. I am almost messaging them daily for the last 6 months and I was told they are looking into issuing me a ticket and they don't have any option available. Air Trip Maker is asking me to pay them more (in addition to $5596) . The are harassing me for the last 6 months and its been a nightmare experience for me and my family. Due to the time loss caused by the delay and the unspeakable behavior of Air Trip Maker, I have to cancel my Dec 2022 trip to India. They are possibly the worst travel agent in my opinion. The real character comes out when you have to change a ticket.Most travel agents fall between 5 and 0 and airtipmaker makes it to 0 without a doubt I got a reasonably good deal and booked the ticket. Then I had to change it . The ordeal: Firstly, he says , you have to pay $300 to convert to open ticket. Open ticket with them and not with airline. So you are tied with them. Two months later, I call him saying that I would like to reuse my ticket. On a $900 ticket, he says, Sir, the new ticket will cost you $800 extra. WTF? Also, the tone changes so amazingly this time. The guy who used to call you again and again suddenly says, Sir, I am busy , please call after half hour. I call after 25 mins, by mistake. He actually scolds me. Sir I told you 30 minutes, why are you calling . I told him to try for some tickets that are cheaper,but travelling over the weekend is a strict constraint for me. He says, Sir I found a great ticket for $100 extra. When he sent he itin it was a Wednesday to Wed ticket. Airlines generally will penalize people who have to change itineraries and I was prepared, but the attitude of Air trip maker psyched me out completely . Most of the people here are complaining about the cases when Tickets got cancelled. In our case, they overcharged us by 100 $ and not just once but twice. In first booking , total was coming as $3300 and they charged $3400 . In second time, charged $505 for already confirmed price of $405. First time, had to mail 5-6 times to get the refund. I booked a flight to India through jonny from Airtripmaker and it was the worst experience in my life. They lied to me all the time about the visa requirements even though I have explained them very clearly about my visa situation. The person who handled the ticket said I don't need any transit visa in Europe as long as stay within the airport and completely fine while changing flights. I traveled believing him and later found that it was a complete lie. I end up paying again the full fare to travel back to U.S. and it was the horrible experience I ever had. Later when I returned back, I tried calling them and found out there was no person named Jonny and it is just the fake name they use to cheat people. I booked my ticket from San Francisco to Ahmedabad in september 2016. They booked via Air China and Connecting to Air India. The rates looked decent, but the ticket got cancelled. Air Trip maker person named Ayesha told me that Air china cancelled tickets and its not their fault. She promised me via email that I will get my money refund for both Air China and Air India. But I only got my Air China money refunded after more than dozen calls. The customer service is the worst. Now it is 4 months and atleast 100 phone calls and tons of email to get my Air India money back. But they have no intention of refunding it. I always get standard response; "i will get back to you once i speak to my manager". And that never happens. These company is fraud they gave me good deal last year and booked my ticket just before 24hr i called them to cancel my ticket and she refused to do so and she asked me to make an open ticket which i can reuse on this year when i try now she change the penalty price fro $ 225 to $ 300 and fare difference of 490 per ticket where as ticket price is just $50 difference. now when i try to use the confirmation number provided by them with AirIndia these numbers are not valid and its not available on there DB and they provided some ling of viewtrip even that link is also not present on that confirmation number. i Paid $2000 for 2 ticket it seems like i was on trap . they use all fraud name Gifty Jason James like that its a fraud company. never come across these people. read more

I booked 4 tickets last year and due to COVID the flights were cancelled. They kept saying ticket is not refundable and when I complained to the US Department of Transportation, the airline refunded their portion of the ticket cost in full. The remaining 30% which went to AirTripMaker didnt get refunded to this date. I have been fighting for months and they are giving me the run around and can't reach anyone that is sane. Couple of times the guy that answered my phone call fell asleep on me and I could hear him snoring. Sounds like someone is attending phone calls from India during their night and couldn't stay awake. There is no manager or owner that you can talk to. Finally, I filed complaints to several bureaus including the Federal Consumer Protection agency. I don't mind losing the money but the audacity they have to rip off the public shouldn't be tolerated.
