I'm confused about these poor reviews. I've been a patient of Air Touch for many years and have never had to wait more than 30 mins to see my dentist - and normally they take me within 10 mins or less. Dr. Albert has been my dentist for the past few years and has been my son's for longer than that, and he's AMAZING. He's the best dentist i've EVER had! I've been a patient at Air Touch Dental for over a year. I can honestly say that my experience so far has been a good one. Wait times have always been short, and the Dentists are friendly enough. The work that's been done, Crowns and fill-ins, have not suffered at all since they've been put in. I have zero complaints thus far... What a terrible and expensive experience! I was only looking for a regular cleaning. I saw Dr. Radion Eliav. He just started by mentioning a deep cleaning and medication needed that was not covered under my Insurance, and persuaded me to proceed as my only available option. I found it weird that while I was still in the dental chair I was asked to sign the commitment papers for over one thousand dollars plus taxes for medication. A week later I went for a second opinion and the other doctor couldn't find any disease that requires this type of medication. I feel the price charged was excessively high. read more

I chose to go to Air Touch Dental Brothers for my bi-yearly exam and cleaning because it was around the corner from my house and also under the coverage of my insurance company. I arrived to the office at 10am (my appointment time) and proceeded to wait in the lobby for almost 30 minutes. When I was finally called into the dentists chair, I set up to receive X Rays, for which they required me to put my own finger inside of my mouth to hold them in place. Now, I don't think that this was such a big deal, but I feel that it is worth mentioning since they did not provide anywhere for me to wash my hands before this process. Afterwards, I was moved into another room where I waited another 15 minutes, with no further instruction or information from any doctor or hygienist. When my doctor arrived, he told me that my X-Rays looked good. He then proceeded to lecture me for not wearing my retainers as often as I should (I had braces 9 years ago) and tell me that I "HAVE" to get Invisalign treatment from his office. He gave me a quick rinse with a water spaying dental tool and polished my teeth, WITHOUT EVER EXAMINING THEM. He then told me to come back in 6 months after seeing me for a total of less than 10 minutes. When I questioned the fact that he never checked my gums or my tongue he decided it was his place to tell me that I had an attitude problem. The doctor was not only unprofessional but completely oblivious to the duties of his own job. THE DENTIST NEVER PROBED MY TEETH TO CHECK FOR SENSITIVITY OR PAIN. THE DENTIST NEVER LOOKED AT MY GUMS.... AT ALL!! HE NEVER CHARTED MY TEETH OR CHECKED FOR GUM RECESSION. THE DENTIST NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT MY TONGUE OR ANY OF THE SKIN OF MY MOUTH (MUCOSA). If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I went for the first time today and it was terrible!! I arrived at 11:57 am for a 12 pm appointment. While I was sitting in a waiting room maxed to capacity during a pandemic (someone else told them about this) I observed that they were taking other white individuals right away, but the waiting room was filled with all the minorities. One of which was there for about two hours before leaving. At 12:58 pm I decided to leave and explained to the receptionist why. She said that she had walk ins that she needed to take...WHAT?! Long wait - 1.5 hours. Unheated waiting room. Hygienist cut both sides of my top lip shoving the x-ray film into my mouth. And gave me grief when I tried to adjust them. Dentist rested his chin on my forehead while he was cleaning my teeth. Really skeeved me out. Then tried to sell me on some bone-loss procedure for $700, not covered by insurance. Offered me a discount ($600) and tried to guilt me for not making a decision on the spot. Asked a family friend and a friend's father (both dentists in other states) about the procedure as I was trying to figure out how to pay for it. WORST DENTIST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I went in for a regular cleaning and the dentist started going off on how I NEED braces and kept telling me about this new technology. I clearly wasn't interested but he had the attitude of a salesman. I had braces when I was a kid, and although my bite still may not be perfect(I was too lax with the retainer) I still look like I have straight teeth and have usually gotten many compliments from dentists. Not this one. He only had negative things to say. But the worst part came with the cleaning, or should I say lack there of. No probing or scraping whatsoever. Just 30 seconds with that electrical polisher. THAT'S IT! He did tell me that I was in DIRE need of a deep gum cleaning. He said it was not covered by my insurance and would cost me almost $300. Fortunately, because I was so taken aback by how rude he was I decided to hold off and get a second opinion. He still asked me if I was sure of my decision a few more times with various sales pitches. All in all, definitely the worst dental experience I've ever had. The second opinion: a week or so later I saw another dentist from a different dental office: Joseph Cimino (I highly recommend). The difference between the two experiences could not have been any starker. Dr. Cimino was kind, funny and understood my situation. He even went into deeper explanation of things and told me(and showed me in great detail!) what I really needed. He did not think I needed the deep gum cleaning but rather just a thorough scraping (which I think what the $300 at Dental Bros would have really gotten me). He cleaned my teeth very well, and I was there much longer than I was at the previous dentist. Because his dental office was not covered by my insurance I had to pay $135 for the cleaning. But compared to the $300 I was about to spend at the AIR Touch Dental Bros, it felt like such a relief. It suddenly felt like: ONLY $135!! phew! So upset, I had to write this review. First visit- got 2 cavities filled and my annual x-ray. Had no waiting problems. Hurt like crazy after. Second visit- got 2 more cavities filled, and to get the previous 2 shaved. No waiting problems third visit- had to get the second set of cavities shaved because they hurt. now they are okay, but the first 2 i got are the only ones that i cannot stand! I don't know what they did in the procedure, but it must have been something wrong. I am young, and don't want them to mess up on my teeth just yet. plus, I waited here for almost 1 1/2 hours! i was so pissed off by the time they saw me. note: I only went here because it was what my insurance covered, and then the insurance didn't even cover the type filling I wanted, only metal. So, I wound up getting not a penny of that ridiculous amount of cash back from that man when I went to see him for a partial refund and a proper bill with a detailed treatment description. He refused to give me a real invoice. That's when I told him: "I should have read the YELP reviews before I came here". His response was that all online reviewers are liars. But lo and behold, shortly afterwards a 5 star review from a Yelp newbie, who had just joined, appeared on this page right below mine. That reviewer never posted anything again. Well, well..... Anyway, I called the insurance provider who had sent me to that place and I was told that that office had already been reported to them and I should not go back and pick a different dentist who is on their plan, and to send them a detailed report about my experience. I did just that and I am still waiting to see if there will be some sort of response and possibly even a warning from them to that "dentist". But most importantly, my root canal was not finished on that fateful day, and on top of that the tooth was left in ruins and I experienced bad tooth aches again, before I got to a new dentist. Please do not go here! I went here a few years back and got a lot of work done by them. Every single crown they put into my mouth has failed and the teeth under most are filed too short with no posts. I got the opinion of 2 different dentists who said that my teeth have been destroyed and it will be very difficult to try to put new crowns on them. They put a bridge on my front teeth that is too high and tight. It ruined my gums. Also charged me for root canals I never got, and just put crowns over the teeth. Currently working with a great dentist who is willing to try to fix the mess these brothers did to my teeth. But it will cost me so much out of pocket. If I could give them 0 stars, I WOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait is very long, once they do take you, the doctor is working on 3 patients at the same time. Literally hoping from one chair to another. Every root canal performed on me has now failed 5 years later (that would be 3 rootcanals in total). They actually placed a bridge in my mouth without checking my teeth to make sure they were okay for a bridge. Two weeks after placing my bridge, I was in severe pain. When I went in, they told me I had a little infection and gave me antibiotics. 9 months later I was in pain again so again they put me on antibiotics. 9 months later.... PAIN AGAIN! When I went back they told me that the gums around the bridge were not cleaned properly. I ended up going to another dentist who was in shock that they did nothing to help that tooth. Turns out that they placed a bridge on top of an absessed tooth. My new dentist immediately removed the bridge and sent me for a rootcanal retreatment. 2 years later and I haven't had any problems with that tooth again. I believe that they did not want to admit fault in placing a bridge without checking the underlying teeth. Second problem- had a root canal done to my front tooth. 7 years later, the tooth needed to be removed due to infection. Apparently the rooth canal was done poorly. Air touch dental also does not give their patients a proper cleaning. I would never recommend this place. Their equipment is outdated and dirty!! I have been a patient of Dr Albert of Air Dental of Greenpoint Bklyn for many years and have nothing but the highest degree of praise and gratitude for the way he and his associates have maintained my teeth. Dr Albert has never performed any procedure on my teeth before thoroughly explaining all the steps to be undertaken. Never once have I ever complained about excessive pain or discomfort caused by some perceived negligence on Dr. Albert's part. Once I have made and showed up for an appointment at Air Dental the window of waiting time is at best five minutes and at the worse fifteen minutes. Also, no other dentist to my knowledge has office hours on SUNDAYS!!!!! For working people like myself this convenience saved my having to leave work early, take a vacation or sick day so I could take care of my dental needs. I have always found his staff to be extremely courteous with a folksy almost mom and pop quality in the way they deal with patients. In summary may I say for the past Ten years I have been living in Manhattan and could easily find a dentist closer to my home. Instead because I am so satisfied with the services provided at Air Dental I have chosen to remain a patient of Dr Albert and have no intentions of giving up a truly competent and patient friendly doctor. I went for a bridge to be done over 3 teeth. Dentist made bridge hanging above gums. I could not eat anything because all food went under and around the bridge hurting me. After I complained to the dentist, I went back and the dentist filled in the crevices with a paste but that did not work, and after removing the bridge he put on what he claimed was a new adjusted bridge but it was the same bridge with the same problems. He said he would make a new piece as he carelessly knocked off my bridge and nearly knocked off my upper dental bridge. There was no way I could eat or live with this bad bridge and now I wanted my money back. They refused saying they would continue to try and fix it. If they couldn't give me a decent bridge the first two times, over a course of months, I had no reason to believe they could help me the third. The dentist there that had worked on me left the country shortly after and the company refused to give me my money back only wanting to mangle my mouth further.
